We were approached at our home by a man named Josh who claimed to be a business partner of a tree service company. He was soliciting work Because we had two very large dead oak trees in our front yard. At first, Josh appeared, professional and knowledgeable, and he assured us that he could have a crew and equipment on site immediately. He pressured us to pay in full before any word began stating that he needed the money to secure rental equipment and pay his workers. Against our better judgment, and because he insisted this was the only acceptable form of payment for a job. This size we paid him $14,500 in cash. Within within an hour, the crew arrived and began cutting. Not even 30 minutes into the job a large branch was dropped, crushing our shed and damaging our well system. Immediately after causing the damage, the crew packed up and left the property without explanation and never returned. We attempted to contact Josh multiple times, but he refuses to answer or take responsibility. We filed a report with the sheriffs office, but were told it is considered a civil matter. At this point it feels like we are dealing with a clear case of fraud yet as the saying goes, you can't get blood from a stone. read more

The worst. They were supposed to remove seed pods from the palms. They did not do this on two palms. They were informed of what they missed. They denied it was part of the estimate. A big lie. They never came back to correct what they missed. Horrible company. read more

Long story short, run before you hire this company. Lack of communication and professionalism. I hired the company to remove a big, dead oak tree in my front yard. When the owner came by for an estimate, he said it'd be an easy 2-3 hour job to remove the tree, stump, and clean up everything. He sent me the estimate and I reached out to schedule for the removal, the owner went completely dark- not answering any phone calls or texts. This happened multiple times when I tried to schedule and I was totally over with hiring this company. Then out of blue, two guys approached our front yard with truck saying that they were here to remove the tree. We had many home projects so we just let them do the work even though I really didn't like how the owner had been. Then those guys told us they were told to cut 5-foot tree, whereas our tree is like at least 10-15 ft. which was why they didn't have equipment or truck to remove the tree so they said the owner would come by and clean it up. We waited couple hours and no one called and came by. We contacted multiple times and the owner didn't answer, and by the 3rd time, he answered and said he was coughing and feeling well so he would send someone first thing in the morning at 8:30am. I had an important house project going on the next morning so I told him he needed to be here on time first thing. He said yes. Him being sick wasn't the problem, and of course being safe comes first, but I found incredibly unprofessional that we had to basically chase him to know what was going on. So we had dead cut off tree and messy ground all over driveway all night and morning. The next morning he texted he was on the way at 8:10am. He was nowhere to seen at 8:30am and I gave him some time and asked him where he was around 9. He said he was getting gas and on his way. Another hour passed by and it was 10:30 when his EMPLOYEE finally showed up. Not only it took him over two hours to stump the ground, it took him over couple hours to drop the trees off. He left my house around 3:30pm. They left so much stump ground on the yard and dirt stain on our driveway it took us two weeks to get cleaned up on our own. Also root system was basically untouched, which I asked them to take care. I talked to the owner but mainly I got excuses. I sent the check for the job, he cashed it the week later, and asked me if I sent the check the week after that. This company is a mess. Like seriously. read more

Holy hell. Experienced Tree's reply is directed to the *wrong client*. Are you out of your minds? Think hard. My wife never spoke with you. I was the client you talked with. Two (2) palms in our front yard scheduled first for the week of Aug. 3, 2020. No call, no show. When I called to re-schedule I spoke with a man at his home with children in the background. He said, "we forgot" and I said, "no problem, I'll reschedule". The man rescheduled for the next week, Thursday, Aug. 16, 2020. Again, no call, no show. Three months later? What planet are you living on? Now. One star. Avoid this place like the plague. Here's the reply: "8/13/2020Hello this is Joseph with Experienced Tree Service I originally told your your wife we were about 2 to 3 weeks out on the schedule when I gave her the estimate and she told me that's fine and to fit her in as soon as we had open availability. I called and scheduled with your wife and we were there on that exact time and date. Not really sure why almost 3 months later you think I gave you the run around" Previous Review: Good thing I forgot to give Experienced Tree service a positive review last time they trimmed our trees. Must be the busy season. No call, no show two weeks in a row. You'd think by now I'd understand that these Florida companies may or may not decide to work on any given day, but I have not. Tree Butcher. I wanted my trees thinned, we agreed on a price. The crew used a pole trimmer to cut anything, no everything, they could reach. I asked the boss if they were going to "climb" and thin the tree? He said "yes." They did not climb the tree. My nicely shaped, full trees, now look like giant dandelions! All limbs were removed from below. Nothing was thinned above. As soon as I paid them they left. Later that spring when the buds came out I could see what they did. They do an excellent job trimming palms and other trees, safely removing trees and they clean up the area well upon completion. During the work they are helpful, ensuring it's being done as expected. Minus 1 star for complete lack of communication. Never got a written estimate till after the job was done. They never said when they would be out, just showed up on a Monday. Minus 1 star for being messy. Left water bottles and cups in the yard. Left ruts in the neighbors yard, then never came back to fix it after leaving several messages. Quote was a little on the cheaper end, and they were willing to do some more stumps that I wanted to get rid of after the initial verbal quote. If you want to pay by credit card, you can add an extra 4% to your bill....also would have been good to know ahead of time. read more

We hired Joe and his company to trim and remove trees on our property. While they were here, the damaged the neighbors fence and made ruts in another neighbors yard, both of which were supposed to be fixed. After two calls to remind Joe, nothing, it's been aside weeks, I don't think they're coming back. For this reason, I would NOT recommend Joe or this company for your property. Joe came out last week to look at our 6 large oak trees, gave me a reasonable price and they have already completed the job this week! Now that the job is finished we are VERY happy! We asked his guys to clear the biggest tree away from the STOP sign in front of our house, and even though they had to trim quite a bit they made it look even and beautiful. Crew came out to trim multiple trees surrounding my house on July 11, 2018. A limb crashed. My husband immediately went out to check and asked the crew what the problem was, they advised him, there was no problem. The crew left for the day immediately thereafter. We then found damage to tiles on our roof and our neighbor's roof where the limb fell. I spoke with Joe on the phone that evening. He said he would be out the next day to assess the damage. Joe did not show up, nor did we hear from him and he did not return my husband's call. When I called, his voice mail was full, and I was unable to leave a message. I don't know whether it was posting the negative review that did it or not, but they did finally complete the job, so I raised my rating from one star to two. All I can say it that it you use this company make sure they complete the work to your satisfaction and get some additional bids first to compare price Here's the original review: Do not use this outfit! Their web site looks very professional and I'm not sure their good reviews are legit. This is a very slap dash outfit. My normal tree guy was not available for a number of days so I called Experienced Tree Service to take down a palm tree. We agreed upon a price, which seemed reasonable, Afterwards "since I got a really good price" the owner wanted to get paid by check. Later I found that the palm trunk sections had been placed on the front of my lawn out of sight of the house. Four times over two days he promised to come out before the end of the day to pick them up and each time had a different excuse. He never did show up or indicate why he couldnt make it . To top it all off when my regular tree guy came back I found out that he would have charged me $100 less than what Experienced Tree wanted. read more

Hired them because of what seemed like a great enthusiasm and grit for the work. I must say that when they were working, they were really giving it their all. At the end of the job (to their credit) when I requested that the work be finished differently than they left it, they did ultimately come and complete the work. Here's what I liked: young guys starting out with business, hard-workers, ambitious, completed a big job. Here's what could improve: timeliness, precision, & clean up. An enormous wind gust blew down a huge branch, probably 25' long and with many smaller branches in our backyard last week. It was a real mess and needed to be cleaned up. I am extremely disappointed with the result of my hedge trimming and the lack of communication from this company. I clearly explained what I wanted and was assured that I would get the result that I requested . I asked that the top be sheared down and that the canopy that has been growing stay in place. When I went to check on the work I found that the canopy was cut off and the hedge was being chopped in a very ugly way. When I asked what happened one of the guys went and found Joe who told me they couldn't keep the canopy. If I hasn't asked, it would have been ignored. If for some reason they found they couldn't keep the canopy, wouldn't it be the right thing to do and come and talk to me? At some point Joe left. My hedge was butchered and he sent a worker to get the check. I paid him because I didn't want to put the worker in a bad position so I gave him the check. $450. I think a picture will speak to the demise of my hedge. read more

ONE star, for a business having the potential to have a FIVE star rating. Joe and Andrew, Experienced Tree Service owners, initially provided prompt service at my residence, which included the felling of two slash pines, and two live oak trees. In the beginning, I was immediately impressed by the fact that even though the base of the slash pines (both 28-30 feet in height) were within six feet of my pool cage, not even the smallest of branches struck the cage during the course of the removal! Hard workers, polite and considerate. The oak trees were removed with the same care and professionalism as the slash pines . . . so I thought! UNFORTUNATELY, during the felling of the second oak tree, a branch, according to Joe, fell, striking one of the two back-flow devices on my property, damaging plumbing and rendering the back-flow device inoperable. Additionally, it was FIVE days after this incident took place I was made aware of it's occurrence. Having noticed the device had been shut off, I attempted to turn it back on and immediately had water gushing from the base. Upon calling and inquiring of the situation, it was only then that Joe admitted to his fault. He then stated he was going to send "someone" to repair the damage done. That was May 24th. It is now, June 30th. Since then, my phone calls go unanswered, voice-mail requests for call-back, ignored. (During the nine day period taken from start to completion, all calls were answered, promptly) Again, Joe and Andrew may provide a great service, but when it comes to making good on a "gaffe ", they apparently seem to think the matter will just "go away." "Joe and Andrew, you both need to 'man up' and take care of your responsibilities. I have four more stars waiting for you. Just as the BEST advertising is 'word of mouth', so can be the opposite for your business." You guys "call the ball." read more

Did a good job removing a very large oak that fell into another oak from Hurricane Irma so hopefully the remaining tree will survive. My problems with them are mainly with the messes they left and created. Workers had no water with them on a very hot day. I gave them a whole pack of water bottles (from my hurricane stash). My thanks was that they left empty plastic water bottles all over my ten acres. They also left huge tree roots sticking up out of the dirt, big holes near the trees, torn up land all over the place from their equipment and also tore up my shell driveway. On top of that they put a huge amount of debris (that they were supposed to haul away) on my neighbor's frontage and left it there for weeks. (Thank goodness this neighbor is a good guy. They did the same thing on another property I have - that neighbor pushed the debris so it blocked my driveway!) Overall, really not happy with this company's service. I understand that all tree companies are overwhelmed with debris/tree work after Hurricane Irma, but I can't excuse how they tore up more than they fixed. I had to hire another contractor to come in and smooth out my property so it can be mowed. read more
