Best Root Canal...Said No one ever, until NOW! I know root canal is not on anyone's list of things to do. Well, it is probably on page 947 towards the bottom. I was referred to Superstition Springs Endodontics because my roots were playing Hide n' Seek and my dentist did not want to play. Superstition Springs Endodontics office is warm and inviting, the staff is friendly and caring. During my Consultation I met with Tyler, Dr. Hales Assistant. Tyler was pleasant and knowledgeable. Tyler and I discussed my issues, and he took x-rays. I met Dr. Hales and he explained the procedure and what was to be expected. Of course, I was nervous and expected this to cost a Gabillion dollars. Dawn at the front desk worked with my insurance (which I had already maxed out) and came up with a price that was a Very pleasant surprise. Thank you, Dawn. A few days later I had my appointment. During my procedure I felt NO discomfort or pain. Tyler was discussing with Dr. Hales his family tradition for putting corn on spaghetti. Weird right??? According to the conversation corn was served as a side dish and one of the family members decided to just put it on top of the spaghetti and it stuck. I will have to try it.. There was office music playing and not the nasty elevator music but actual songs. Every once and a while Dr. Hales, Tyler or both would sing along. Not the whole song but bits and pieces. Watch out Karaoke, these two are a force to be reckon with, they are good. I say all of this because it really put me at ease, comfortable, almost like being with family. I followed the instructions for the after care and I felt NO pain or discomfort. I even had the crown repaired at my dentist the same day. I was worried the dentist would have to renumb the area, but he didn't, and I felt Nothing. I have another tooth that needs to be done and I am trying to wait until the insurance resets, but I know where I will go. As the Terminator said, "I'll be back!" From the first phone call after getting an approval from the VA, this office had me in that day. I had a severe cracked tooth that was infected and I was in great pain. Walked in and was greeted with professionalism and a genuine concern for my situation. I didn't get the assistant's name but she was amazing by getting xrays and my chair ready. In walks in Dr. Hales and the both of them worked flawlessly together and I was even treated to an in office concert by the duet singing great classics. I felt zero pain after the initial poke around and shots, which was the biggest fear. The root canal was actually a great experience and relieved the tremendous pain I was in. I even ate sushi about and hour after leaving. Excellent staff, work and environment. If and when I move here, oh ya, I was just bringing my kid to school at ASU, I will definitely be coming here for all my endodontic needs. Just way above my expectation. read more

Doctor Tonioli is the best endodontic specialist out there! He has done 3 of my root canals and I wouldn't trust anybody else with my canals but him. He is very nice and thorough. This place is an Oasis of goodness! I cannot sing their praises high enough! Dr Hales is a genuine gem of a Dentist whose capable hands had me happier than I've ever been while getting my dental work done. You will know you are in the hands of a very capable professional from start to finish. Seriously! I went there after another Dental office broke a drill bit inside of my root canal (hard long piece of metal). The head of that Company said to "seal me up, it wasn't going to get any better," and sent me on my way. I started having really bad jaw & headaches until Dr Hales removed that piece of "scrap metal..." easily. His office staff was kind & professional, and I didn't wait for my appt long at all, which was great, because I was Super anxious after my previous experience. Sometimes he even sang a word or more from the music they were playing which made me think he was confident, and happily enjoyed what he was doing. Cannot recommend him enough. Seriously folks, do not hesitate to come here. I had a aching tooth and my tooth had had a previous root canal. SSE got me in same day with Dr. Tonioli. HE WAS AWESOME. I highly recommend Dr Hale at superstition springs. The entire staff was so very friendly and made you feel cared for from the very second you call in. They set aside time for emergency appointments each day and boy was I grateful I wouldn't have to go another sleepless night in pain. I have very bad dental phobia and anxiety and the staff made me feel completely at ease. Dr. Hale is obviously very skilled at what he does because the root canal procedure was super quick and pain free. Much easier than my previous experiences elsewhere. After the initial numbing, I experienced some discomfort so I raised my hand and they were right on it. Was referred to Dr. Hales from Dr. Nielson (resorption/infection). High anxiety from previous experiences is the tip of the iceberg, so it takes all I have to even get a routine cleaning, and loud heavy metal (Disturbed/Five Finger Death Punch...). Staff fantastic, office clean and friendly, Dr. Hales phenomenal. Root canal done with little discomfort, but what is expected from the lidocaine. Fast and efficient and explains procedure pre and post. No to little discomfort after procedure. When I need more work done, and I will, Dr. Hales is who I will be scheduling with. read more
