Their care for very old and very sick people, some left unresponsive after strokes was full of humanity. I spent at the Lawton Center 2 weeks and all my requests were met with such willingness and smile that I wanted to ask for something else just to see this expression of kindness and benevolence. I would easier trust my own mother to them than to myself, because they were really SKILLED. I asked my friend working in the medical field how such good work of personnel could be achieved? She answered that it could be only the result of responsible supervision of the attentive bosses. I met Lawton Center's Administrator Dan Daly and Director of Nursing Natasha Daragan, who WERE responsible for their crew's coordination and hard work. They themselves are watching everything like hawks and it shows. I appreciated the work of physical therapists who helped patients as a team and individually. The case worker Rudy also was very helpful in complicated and nerve-wrecking dealings with insurance. Absolutely fantastic was CNA Sheryl, who was not only superbly professional, but personally very kind. The society which cares so much for sick and elderly is a pinnacle of civilization. Thanks God that America still has this island of humanity The only bad side is that food is too good for the people who want to lose weight. Tatiana Menaker

Lawton's staff flat-out refused to even check or speak to the insurer - instead, they rudely denied care and hung up on attempts to clarify coverage. When you're recovering from a serious procedure, this kind of treatment is not only disheartening - it's dangerous. Patients deserve empathy and basic professionalism. Lawton failed on both counts.

They are very understaffed and that's probably demoralizing the care team, and it shows in the way they treat their patients and patient families. Dont try to call the nurse stations, no one ever picks up and no one returns voicemails - their staff even said to us that vm won't be returned. Any time we asked a question of the care team, when we could hunt someone down, they didn't know the answer and gave us a blank look. I was speaking with one nurse and he ignored me and was filling out a form for someone else the entire time. You have to REALLY go in person and demand attention and advocate for your family member's needs. For the week she was there, one of the two elevators was down so we took the fire escape stairs (which staff recommended) since the only working one was SO slow. Obviously the patients can't take the stairs so the worst part was it meant there was no access to the whole 6th floor - which is where the physical therapy/rehab space is!! So ignore their pics of PT equipment and the pretty glass roof and view, it was blocked off for all the patients! It also meant they canceled all the communal activities! Also the food is terrible, so mom barely ate anything the whole time she was there. We visited every day and never saw veggies, and saw plain hotdogs (no condiments) and tots, dry gyros, etc., and cheap fake extremely sugary "fruit juice". Nothing healthy at all.

I will say Remy (nurse) and Ray (cna) were absolutely amazing and the only good thing from this facility

Please use the following recommendation/review in any way you'd like in your promotional materials etc.: "I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend Dora for her exceptional assistance in helping us find a senior living apartment for my elderly aunt. Throughout the entire process, Dora demonstrated an extraordinary level of dedication, professionalism, and compassion. From the very beginning, Dora went above and beyond to make an overwhelming situation manageable. She accompanied us on multiple tours, asked insightful and important questions we wouldn't have thought of, and provided invaluable guidance at every step. Her presence made us feel more confident and informed in our decision-making process. One of the most helpful aspects of working with Dora was how she took on the burden of communication. She handled sales calls and follow-ups, ensuring we were not overwhelmed by constant outreach. Additionally, Dora was present during the care assessments at my aunt's nursing home prior to her placement. She effectively interfaced with the nursing home staff, advocating for my aunt's needs and ensuring a smooth transition to her new home. Dora's support was not only professional but also deeply personal. Her kindness and understanding made a challenging process significantly easier, and we are incredibly grateful for her assistance. I would not hesitate to recommend Dora to anyone navigating the complexities of finding the right senior living arrangement for a loved one. She is an invaluable resource and a true advocate for families during this important time."

You might think that having your spouse or your sister around is enough, but post-op support is a tough job! If you make arrangements with Lidys, she will provide the level of comfort and care you need, so you can relax and really heal. The long version: My original plan was to have a TT and lipo, and have my adult daughter stay with me for a few days to help. When I read more, and watched more videos by people who had gone through it, about just how uncomfortable/painful and difficult recovery was going to be, I began to doubt my plan. Now that I am 12 days post-op, I can say for sure that working with Zen Concierge Nursing was the best decision I made. I met with Lidys before the surgery, and she advised me on what products to have ready at home. She and her driver picked me up after the operation and I stayed with her for two nights. She (or her fellow nurse Patricia) was with me every step of the way, helping me eat and sleep and stand and walk and use the bathroom. Lidys kept track of my meds, and called the surgeon's office to consult about my condition. She did everything a post-op nurse does, plus talked to me to distract me or cheer me up. Lidys gave me massages, and made me soup and ordered food for me ... she just did everything to help me relax and let my body heal. When it was time for me to go home, she came with me to make sure my home "recovery station" was all set up, and then texted to check on me every day. Post-op lymphatic drainage massages were recommended by my surgeon, and Lidys did those for me, too. Seriously, her professionalism, experience, care, and reassurance have really helped me so much! I highly, highly recommend her!

I went to two different massage therapists before finding Lidys. It is one thing going to a LDM specialist and another to go to someone with a nursing background and understands what your body goes through during the recovery process. I had fibrosis growing in my back and the two specialists I saw before Lidys did not mention it or try to address the problem at all. Thankfully I found her and she was able to get out my fibrosis lumps significantly in one session and completely in the second. Don't get scammed by these other lymphatic specialist that demand you buy 6-10 treatment sessions. She was honest and told me I only needed two treatments which was true. She also recommends stretches, garments and foams that made such a huge difference in my recovery. Thank you Lidys! And to anyone looking for after care massages after surgery there is no one in San Francisco better than Lidys.

They took the information and knew how old she was before the intake call. During the call the owner told me that the therapists are not trauma informed and that my daughter would need to attend sessions by herself so that they could be hippa compliant. I find it hard to believe that parents would drop off their 2.5 years old to an appointment. She said that since I practice attachment parenting that it would not be a good fit. I asked her what she thought attachment parenting was to her. I left the appointment feeling that I needed to convince her that we were a good fit for her program. This was something I didn't feel was compatible with the care we are seeking. We were originally seeking support for sensory processing and after speaking with my daughter's therapist that she actually doesn't have sensory processing issues. This could have easily been determined on the call. I would like to share this information in case parents are on the long wait list with their child under 3 that they admitted that they are not well equipped to "accommodate " children of that age. A follow up email wasn't sent which would have been a thoughtful curtesy after such an off putting first impression. I can appreciate that her clinic might not be set up for parents to attend with their children but felt that the way this was communicated with me was insulting and disrespectful. I feel this could have easily been avoided in the initial communication with admin staff.
