The session ran about 70 min and was more thorough than I anticipated. There's the standard draping, but Esther also looked through my actual makeup products, scrolled my Instagram, and reviewed my wardrobe to figure out what was and wasn't working for me. There were also purchases I did not feel I had approved, and when I attempted to address these concerns, I did not receive a meaningful response. Because my concerns remained unresolved and not responded to (I had given a week), I cancelled our final meeting as it's awkward having someone ignore you then come to your home. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable continuing the working relationship. The fashion suggestions were very basic ie "where a cardigan with a dress" and not what would expect from a stylist, more like something at the mall. This review reflects my personal experience as a paying client. Based on that experience, I would not work with this stylist again.
