I was hospitalized and in Cardiac Intensive Care because I was deemed to be having a heart issue no one could figure out. Thein-Wai was called in on a consult, found that it wasn't heart issues at all, but rather it was thyroid cancer in both lobes. Thyroid successfully removed and all of those "heart" symptoms went away. I remained in his general care until he retired. Fine man, excellent physician.

Your office claimed they sent it in and they got something back claiming my insurance changed which it did not. Then did nothing else to find out what the problem was when filling out the paperwork I don't know how many times I've called your office and cvs Perscription and specialty and their prior authorization depts to see what the problem was. They continually resent the application and did not get a response. It was either filled out incorrectly or something was omitted or it was sent to Medicare not my Perscription insurance. I called my insurance company who sent me to cvs prior authorization dept. I must have done this 12x They have no record of any correspondence from your office. I don't know where your office sent the prior authorization but it wasn't to where my prescriptions go to. Your office claims they cannot be in the phone all day to talk with prior auth depts that they just don't have enough people. Maybe have staff in on Fridays just to catch up. I deal with this each year I have to get a prior authorization for this medication. I'm suppose to take the injections today and now, if I can even get it, it won't be in time once again or I will have to pay $$$ out of pocket. A 30 minute wait I would understand, but an hour and 10 minutes is crazy. Especially on a weekday that I need to be at my job. When the physician, Dr. Catherine McDoniel, entered the room, she acknowledged I was at the window looking out. I politely mentioned I was checking out the views because I've been waiting for a little bit. Instead of acknowledging the concern, she responded in a way that I felt was dismissive and confrontational, asking, "What did you expect? You booked the appointment same day?" and suggested I go to urgent care instead. I remained respectful and simply explained that I had expected to be seen closer to my scheduled appointment time. The interaction continued to feel defensive, and I ultimately left crying without receiving care. I asked the front desk to refund my copay, which they were able to take care of and apologized for what happened. After I left the building, the front desk called me again apologizing for what had happened. The front desk staff were kind and professional, but the physician interaction was upsetting and left me feeling unheard and disrespected. And I left without the medical attention I needed. I would strongly advise anyone who reads this post to stay away from this man and his practice. His…read morenegligence and unprofessional behavior almost cost my mom her life. This happened about 3 weeks ago. My mom (74) went in for a routine colonoscopy. During the procedure, some polyps needed to be removed. When she got home she noticed that there was significant bleeding. She called his office and they told her "bleeding is normal". When the bleeding worsened, the office was not able to be reached. The bleeding was bad that she had to call an ambulance and go to the emergency room. It was discovered that during her routine colonoscopy, he somehow managed to clip an artery which caused internal bleeding so severe she needed a blood transfusion of 2 units and emergency surgery. She ended up spending 2 days in the ICU. There was no follow up call for over a week from him or his office. They eventually called to tell her the biopsy results. If you value your health and safety, I advise you stay away from this man and his practice and tell others to do the same. He's careless, irresponsible, and dangerous.
