First time coming here, wanted to grab a smoothie while I was over in the mall. Surprised this little place is located in such an obscure, dimly lit part of the mall. Staff here was really friendly. I loved their selection of smoothies! They had a chocolate, banana, avacado smoothie combination which looked really interesting. I tried it out and it was great! Price was fair and they even had leftovers from the smoothie they gave to me! That's really great of them and to make sure fresh stuff wasn't going to waste. read more

Came here recently to try their smoothies while walking around the mall. When we got in line we were quickly greeted by a very nice guy who took our order and helped us decide. He was super friendly and started off our experience on a great note. When our drinks were ready we went up to get them and noticed that they gave us the extra smoothie in little foam cups which was cute. All 3 smoothies were delicious and I really liked that the sweetness level was perfect. Everyone we spoke to was so nice and helpful. We will definitely be back. read more

I'm a daily smoothie drinker, but I usually make my own after I invested in one of those fancy schmancy high speed blenders. A breakfast smoothie is how I start the day! On occasion, though, I may go to Jamba Juice or Smoothie King if I'm on the go. While in Schaumburg, I found this place in Yelp and I love supporting local businesses. Plus, the reviews were awesome and the flavors were unique. Why not? We walked into the mall and had no idea where we were going. Then we found the directly and realized it's right outside of JC Penny, on the lower level of the mall. We came at around 11 am on a Monday and there was only one lady (Korean?) there. She was in the back cutting up bananas. After I figured out what I wanted (the Rejuvenator Squeeze), she went right to work. It turns out she made a bit too much so asked me to drink some from the cup so she could fill it up with the extras. :) I couldn't drink that fast so hubby helped me. Ah... Refreshing goodness! It was definitely a banana and ice based smoothie, but not sweet. Perhaps I should have gotten a less filling smoothie because we were due for lunch soon after, but I greatly enjoyed it. Now I sort of wish I got that Ginseng Fling because I'm really curious about it. Either way, I wish this place were closer to home. I'm glad I got the opportunity to try it. A must go to spot when you visit Woodfield mall. This is the BEST smoothie shop run by the cutest family. I'm pretty sure they use soft serve to make their smoothies, which is the BEST way to make a smoothie. No one makes it like that anymore, idk why, since it tastes immensely better this way. A little bonus is that they'll give you any extra they made from your batch into a small cup. How sweet! No other place does that anymore. I love how fresh and healthy all of their drink choices are. The staff is really friendly and they work quickly to get the drinks out. I wanted something refreshing after dinner, so I ordered the watermelon lemonade (love that they use crushed ice instead of ice cubes, btw). It really hit the spot. My boyfriend got the mango matcha fruit smoothie, and it tasted way better than how we imagined it. There's mango, banana, spinach, and matcha powder in it. Usually with drinks that have veggies in them, I seem to always be able to pick out that bitter taste of the greens that overpower the drink, but this fruit smoothie was SO good. The more prominent flavors were definitely the banana and matcha, but I highly recommend this one if you're trying to get some intake of vegetables in your day. I cannot believe that this place does not have more reviews and is not a perfect 5 stars. This is the best smoothie place in the northern Chicagoland area hands down. I consider myself to be somewhat of a smoothie connoisseur, as there are limited places to acquire a smoothie of this grade. Surf city squeeze is a franchise, but I believe the owners of this location hit it out of the ballpark every single time. It seems to be family operated and the customer experience could not be any better. Every time I visit this business I am greeted with a pleasant individual that is more then happy to take my order and answer any question I may have. Want a mixed smoothie but want one ingredient more then another? They are more then happy to make your smoothie in the manner you want it. I cannot believe there are negative comments about customer service. I have never experienced this once. They normally make over what you paid for and instead of tossing away the extra, if they have any, they will give you it in a small cup on the side. That is a fantastic method of giving a little extra to the customer. Prices are good for a smoothie, no complaints there at all. Completely fair, if not on the less expensive side. I don't write reviews that often, but in this instance, I just hope this review goes noticed by potential customers and they try out the fantastic smoothies this business creates. I enjoy the banana smoothie, sometimes with a bit of strawberry. Their Oreo smoothie is also very good. Good on hot or cold days, its a delicious treat all around. What I like about this place is its healthier options. I got the ginseng Fling and I highly recommend it; it's delicious. Prices are what you'd expect at any smoothie place, even a little more reasonable and affordable here depending on your drink. Ok seriously, I don't know what other Yelper's were thinking when they said "the prices are good." A 12 oz smoothie will cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of $3.50. But..... Also, not sure why it says they accept credit cards but as long as I have known they have been cash only which can sometimes stink these days when most ppl usually carry cards with them. At any rate I go all the time and order my fave, a blueberry banana smoothie! so tasty. I went yesterday and the woman working behind the counter made a little too much and told me she didn't want to throw it out so asked me to take a big gulp out of my cup so she can pour the leftover in. I bought a small lemonade (for $2.75 I think) which was wayyyy too sweet and undrinkable. I asked for a large cup with some tap water so I could dilute my lemonade, but they said that if I wanted to do that, I'd have to pay for a large lemonade. I was at Surf City Squeeze on 11/22/2015 and my experience was fantastic, just as it has been for the past decade (or more!) The Solstice smoothie is the thing dreams are made of in my world. It is similar in taste to an orange-y pina colada with some healthy vitamins and minerals hidden in there (I believe it is on the "functional" menu.) It is absolutely delicious, and there are tons of coconut shreds in it to fill you up. I love the Solstice so much that I have never deviated from ordering it. However, my boyfriend has gotten a variety of different fruit smoothies which he has always greatly enjoyed. I docked 1/2 star because they are cash-only, which could prohibit someone who doesn't know about that from enjoying their wonderous beverages, and I docked another 1/2 star because they have been steadily raising their prices over the years and it's getting a bit expensive. A medium smoothie is almost $7! Despite the expense, I will always shell out whatever it takes to get my beloved Solstice smoothie from my beloved Surf City Squeeze! Ahhhh smoothies!!! I remember coming home from college and going shopping at Woodfield. The highlight would always be going to Surf City Squeeze and getting a Strawberry- Raspberry smoothie. I always remember it being $3.05. Unfortunately, I made a trip to the mall yesterday to find they raised the price to $3.67. Ok still affordable, but in this economy it cuts into the frivolous budget. Overall, It is still soooo delicious! I just wish they took credit cards!!! read more
