Atmosphere is pretty but the brown sugar milk tea i don't even think has tea in it. It taste like I'm just drinking whole milk with sauce on the rim of the cup. The tapioca also doesn't rly have any flavor :/ it has such good reviews too.... Ugh

Brown sugar boba + bubble waffle

Cute boba and bubble waffle spot. 10/10 for location because it's near the library + you can take your order to go sit by the water out back. Really nice for enjoying those good weather days. Inside feels like a Ghibli film. Little wooden benches and trees to sit under. Patterned couches. Umbrellas that hang from the ceiling. Our kids like the strawberry milk and the cheese bubble waffle. (A little strange, but somehow it works). It's a cheese filling inside the bubbles. Try it if you like sweet and savory. Try the regular if you're more traditional. The brown sugar boba milk tea is my go-to. TL;DR Fun spot for a special treat!

This has to be the cutest boba cafe I've been to. The decorations are adorable. The boba cafe is very clean. The drinks are tasty. I ordered the Peach Lemongrass tea. It's absolutely delicious. A great detox drink. The service is friendly and professional. Behind the shop is a cute lake where you can sit and enjoy your drink or walk around. Dai made our drinks, and he is super nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place. Come support your local boba cafe. There is no need to support Starbucks. We need these shops to stay open in the community.

This is a cute tea shop with a lot of options; fruit tea, milk tea, hot tea and smoothies. I love the decor in here, the cherry blossom trees are a nice touch. There's also some seating areas too. The service was fine, we ordered and within 5 minutes we got our drinks. Not much interaction with the staff which I don't mind! They were keeping busy taking orders and making drinks anyway. I got the umbrella fruit green tea and added lychee jelly. It is sweet, flowery and comes with fresh fruit. This drink is refreshing, light and delicious! One thing to note is that the drinks come without boba, jelly etc - toppings are an additional charge.

Ready to live your life as an anime character or a heroine in a K-drama? Saunter into Umbrella Tea House, past the (manga?) mural and into the theatrical setting of your dreams! Maybe a Brown Sugar Milk Tea with your main squeeze under a green canopy of leaves? Or hash it out with your frenemy in a confrontation on a comfy settee amidst the confessional post-it notes while sipping a Butterfly Lychee Milk Tea with crystal boba. Live like you're the main character while you decide among fresh fruit tea, milk tea, smoothies. This is a fun place to visit with friends or nestle into a chair with a Sea Salt Cream Tea as you contemplate your life choices while gazing up at the clusters of umbrellas on the ceiling. Great ambience, nice assortment of drinks. Parking lot was super crowded. I did not fully peruse the menu before ordering. I'll have to make a return visit; I'm hoping the leaves turn colors and I'll try a Dragon Eye Oolong Tea.

Everything here is great!!! I always get the ultimate ace and a fres fruit smoothie. The coffee milk tea is the best here!!! Fresh drinks that tastes so good. Just have to listen for your number to pick up your drink after you order and pay at counter. I am still waiting for the system to order online so I don't have to wait inside, just come in to pick up my online order would be ideal and more convenient. Other than no online ordering, the service and drinks are great! I tell my family and friends that live around here to check out their fantastic tasty drink selection!

A super cute Instagram Worthy Spot for bubble tea lovers! The tapiocas were definitely soft & chewy! We took the following- 1. Butterfly Lychee Milk Tea 2. Brown Sugar Milk Tea 3. Thai Milk Tea Everything was great here including the ambience! The umbrellas at the ceiling gave a different look overall to the spot! Service was pretty fast !! If you're looking for a good bubble tea spot with a cute ambience, highly recommend this spot in Schaumburg! Will definitely come back!

Came with friends for a quick catch up. My BROWN SUGAR MILK TEA felt very mild and I didn't see any syrup inside to indicate any other flavor was added, so it felt ok. It did taste nice anyway and boba felt soft. Also, shared the WAFFLE and they did let us know it would take about 10mins. It was cooked nicely and flavor was good. I knew they were making it before it was ready since it smelled so good. The guys at the register were nice and let us know that since the MANGO TEA was new it was going to be labeled differently in the receipt. We sat in the back couches which were very comfy and cozy. Would definitely come again with friends or to work from as I saw a few people with their laptops. Good spot in the center of Schaumburg.

Second time coming here. First time, it was on a week night so we had the whole place to ourselves. We went again last night on a Sat night and it was busy. A lot of teenagers with nowhere else to go. The employees were very pleasant. The cashier apologized and offered alternatives when we found out the pumpkin spice milk tea was sold out. I got the ultimate ace milk tea and I recommend it. It has brown sugar, boba, and jelly in it. It's very delicious. There are plenty of places (when it's not so crowded) to have photo ops in this place. The faux trees change color depending on the season/month.

Finally got to check this place out!

Cute tea place with a few different places to sit. It's a little smaller than I thought, but has a cozy feel to it. They have lots of different items on their menu, mainly drinks and bubble waffles. Everything came out really fast and it was overall a lovely experience.

    Dragonball!

By far one of the best boba places I have been to in the Schaumburg area. This shop is located near a nice fountain with a lot of walking area and the inside is very nice. The theme is very aesthetic as there are cherry blossom tees and very nice lights. One of the biggest plus points about this place is the amount of options. There are so many different types of teas both milk and fruit and there are shakes too. I ordered the dragon ball but got it with regular tapioca instead of the crystal and this was one of the best boba teas I have ever had. It was a perfect mix of sweet and a little tangy and there were pieces of dragon fruit that tasted really good. Overall, I 100% recommend visiting this boba place over the others if you are in the area.

I had spicy watermelon slushy (?) and it works! Also love the milk pudding. Tried the bubble waffle for the first time and it was well made, I only wish it had more cheese in it. Lovely lounge areas in front and back of the store.

    Cookies and cream milk tea
    Elsa G.

I wanted to like this boba shop. The whole aesthetic is just so cute, with benches, cherry blossom trees, and string lights. I got the cookies and cream milk tea, which was the first mistake I made. I knew it was just a fun flavor, certainly not traditional in any sense. The drink seemed like it had a milk tea base with soggy bits of oreo at the bottom. Except, I couldn't actually taste the tea, all I got was oreo which was disappointing. My second mistake was not ordering the drink with less sweetness. I don't know what I expected when I ordered this drink, but it was way too sweet (and I like sweet things). The sweetness level was over the top crazy. I normally don't ask for less sweetness for my boba drinks but I guess now I need to reconsider. Maybe it would have tasted better if it wasn't so sickeningly sweet? The boba itself was not as firm or chewy as I would have liked. I almost felt it just blended in with the soggy bits of cookie at the bottom. This drink was about $6 which was definitely not worth it because it was not that good nor was it very large. I recognize that my opinion is skewed because of my drink choice but I just wasn't impressed. **I do want to give props for logo on the drink container with the dancing boba and umbrella. So cute!

Husband got a lavender latte subbed out with oat milk and it was pretty good but not impressive. Not too much lavender flavor but might not be a bad thing cuz some lavender flavor is too overpowering or artificial. This place is just ok. This cafe does so many things right, starting with the spacious parking lot located in a large strip mall, which makes stopping by very convenient. Inside, the dining room is bright, elegant, and welcoming, and the staff has been consistently friendly and kind. During my first visit, my friend and I ordered for dine-in, and I immediately appreciated the thoughtful details. The ordering counter displays a variety of freshly made pastries and bakery items that are very tempting. My drink was served in a real glass, and my food came out hot on an actual plate with a fork. I love places that make dining in feel intentional and special rather than treating it like takeout. I ordered the spinach Turkish bread ($8.75), and it completely exceeded my expectations. It was generously filled with spinach, cheese, and garlic, and the flavor was outstanding. You could tell it was freshly made and homemade. Just writing this review is making me crave it again. I also ordered an iced caramel macchiato ($6.25), which had a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness and paired really well with my food. One downside is that the dining room is not very large, so tables are close together. As it got busier during our visit, I became a bit uncomfortable because I could clearly hear the conversation at the table next to us, which meant they could hear ours, as well. It is something to keep in mind if you plan to stay. Because of this, I now usually order my drink to go. Overall, I am extremely impressed with this cafe. It has quickly become one of my favorite spots for both food and coffee, and I will absolutely continue coming back.

We ordered a cappuccino, almond croissant, and cherry danish from a very helpful staff member. The pastries were pretty good, albeit on the heavy side. My danish was packed with cherries but didn't have much of the cream cheese I was hoping would cut the sweetness a bit. The cappuccino was the highlight, smooth and not overly bitter. We were there mid-morning on a Saturday, and two people were working. Our pastries came out pretty quickly, but it took a very long time for my cappuccino due to a large to-go order they were handling. It's understandable, and we weren't in a hurry anyway. I've only been here once and so I don't know if that's typical, but something to be aware of in case you're on a tight timeline. The ambiance was nice, and it would be a pleasant place to hang out and work.

Since my main goal was to have a great dessert, I reversed my thought process and started looking for the best dessert restaurants that happened to be near excellent savory food as well. This led me to discovering Melt N Dip. While most dessert spots have a display case of locally bought bakery items, or a small set of options made in-house, Melt N Dip goes overboard with a huge selection of crepes, cookies, waffles, cake, gelato, milkshakes, fresh fruit, cheesecake, and more! This is incredible for someone like me who gets easily tired of monotony, since I can make many visits here and try something new each time with friends. The restaurant is on a great spot, close to the main road but far away from the H-Mart to avoid cross traffic. There's plenty of parking, and the restaurant itself is large, with very comfortable seating, and social media worthy decor. Service is quick and friendly, and prices may look a little high -- but once you see the size of the product and the quality of ingredients used, and the freshness of the fruit -- you'll realize that the value provided here is much better than similar items that you may get elsewhere. On this trip, I was able to try the Brownies Magic and Melt N Dip waffle. Both were excellent in their own way. The brownie was super soft and decadent, full of chocolate flavor. The gelato was smooth, creamy, flavorful and very refined. The fresh strawberries helped to tame down the overall sweetness of the dish, which was anchored by a base of delicious milk chocolate. The milk, dark, and white chocolate on top helped to tie everything together with a great burst of flavor and nice consistency. The waffle was maybe even the bigger surprise - as this came on a huge plate with lots of fresh pineapple, bananas, strawberries, and kiwi. One of my favorite things to do when on a cruise boat is to have fresh fruit with waffles, and this was an elevated version of that experience. Though the waffle wasn't really crisp, it accomplished exactly what it needed to by holding a generous amount of milk, dark, and while chocolate to pair with the fresh fruit. This was a phenomenal combination that has made me question if I'll ever look at similar options at a fondue spot or fancy brunch the same again. Overall, phenomenal desserts at a reasonable price. The fresh fruit and chocolate quality really shines and I have full confidence that everything else they serve here will match the same level of quality. This is a must return spot for me that is worth a special trip whenever I'm craving quality, consistency, and an impressive dessert experience.
