The kitchen was spacious and well designed, which was important given that we were shooting a cooking/travel video here this weekend. The bed was so comfy. Not too firm and not too soft. The decor was also perfect. Beachy enough to fit the vibe and the location but not overly kitschy. We brought our dog with us so had one of the dog-friendly units. Much better to stay here then a boring motel room. All decor is antique or themed. So cute. Kitchenette was perfect and fully stocked. The bathroom is small but extremely clean and lovely. My husband is a big tall man so he passed on the rv-size shower. Room was pet-friendly but we dont have dogs. Comes with blanket, towel, bowl, etc for dogs. There is a large, shared hot tub under a cabana. Community fire pit, large grassy areas, clam cleaning sink. Quiet and private. The outdoor area would be fabulous for kids to play in the summertime. Tons of space and grass. We were there to go clam digging, so tried to walk to the beach. Even with tall rubber boots and rain gear the path is not passable (November) so had to turn around and drive to the beach. In the summer the path would be fine. The checkout time was 1000 which was a tad early for us. I just cant stress enough how clean this place was! Very well-maintained hotel room. However, one bright spot is the South Bay Inn. Stevie, the owner, clearly takes pride in her establishment, as the rooms were recently renovated and the place was spotless and very well organized. Free wifi and parking were included also included with the room. Customer service was outstanding. Stevie let us borrow a charger for our car, as, despite online postings, there were no working chargers available in town during our visit. One small downside was no on-site ice machine; however, with a medium-sized refrigerator in the room, none was needed. Would definitely stay again if ever in the area.

The person working behind the counter was super nice and friendly. I appreciated the info he told us about the surrounding area and the recommendation to go for a sunset walk nearby. I also appreciate that this property has parking spots right in front of your room. The building is an older style, but very quaint. You get actual room keys which are a bit bulky, but sometimes do make me feel more safe than the electronic keys. Everything was clean and in good working order. I had no idea this place had a kitchen, but this allowed me to save some money by having a meal in the room. There is a grocery store located very close. I also really appreciated the bathroom amenities which included a toothbrush and toothpaste which is not something I recall seeing in a hotel anytime in recent years. There's a large grass area out front which children were playing in and people were walking their pets. There's a covered structure that looked ideal for spending time outside in the colder/wetter weather. There's a bar with good food to the left, a brewery with pizza up the road to the right and a Mexican place across the road.
