First time using Surf Thru Express Car Wash. They promoted a free car wash for healthcare workers on Instagram so I gave them a try. The car wash was quick but did a great job on cleaning my car. Unlike other car washes, I thought it cleaned the exterior gently. The attendant was friendly and offered a free scent for the air vent. Great experience and I would try again. read more

The vaccums hardly ever work and the air hoses are never there to blow your car out. The only plus is the complimentary wash clothes.

I have been here many times in the past but recently the service has just gone down hill. In the past, there were two people who would manually scrub your windows and headlights as you entered the wash. Today there was only one person who literally scrubbed 1/10th of my windshield which was completely pointless. I still had a lot of dust on my windows that required a complete wipe down when I was finished. Really not worth $17 for this "ultimate wash." They also removed the high power blower gun thing at the vacuum stations. Some vaccuums have essentially no suction so had to find ones that did. Very disappointing. They recently built a Mister car wash nearby so will likely go there for better service. read more

I have to say this is by far the worst car wash service I have ever had. There have been so many issues with this location from them not being able to open on time because employees didn't show up for work to employees using foul language, air hoses not working barely any soap coming out, equipment not working. I don't see this location lasting much longer. I was really bummed because it is such a location for me. I've tried to be patient and hoped they would work things out but I just don't see it happening. I will be leaving a review on yelp and other platforms as well I don't want to see other paying customers or customers thinking about joining to go thru the same experience I have had. I had a monthly membership for about 6 months and the wash seemed pretty good for a few months. It got to the point where I had to always go through two times to get the bugs off the car. The equipment is very old and the dryers would always leave a lot of water behind. I had to break up our relationship. read more

The car wash never totally clean my truck. Therefore, the value is expensive. I do like the available towels and shade. The staffs were also great. The last time I was there, they just started to soak their towels in detail solution which gets the truck really shiny and hydrophobic. The owner needs to update the carwash machine. read more

This place is like many carwashes in that you go through the little interior line while the Doohickey's clean your car. But then it's a do-it-yourselfer and you are on your own. What surprised me was then they give you a little cloth for wiping your own - while you're going through the line, and when you're done with the line, they point you over to the vacuuming area. Here you dry off your own car, vacuum it out by yourself, and wipe down the interior with your little cloth if you haven't already done so. For me, I wished I had known this ahead of time. I was never expecting to do half the cleaning by myself. It's okay, but I just wished I knew cause that's not for me. Every one was nice and the exterior looked good. I've been going here for several years and usually buy the multiple use card. In the beginning service and end product was very good. Car washes in general are going way downhill with higher prices and less services, but this place did a pretty good job on the outside and their self service area made it easy to clean the inside. Over the last year this place really starting to fall off the cliff with the outside work, more often than not I need to go through several times and then it's mediocre when finished. Had a membership for over a year. In the beginning the drive thru wash was excellent. Towards the end of the year they noticeably used less water to the point I had soap still on my windows and had to use a wet rag and towels get the soap off. This continued for the next 3 months until I canceled. The vacuum stations are better than most. Overall, you kind find better somewhere else read more

Yesterday was the last time I will visit this car wash. They increased their prices to $10 for a basic wash. After the wash I went to the vacuum area and none of the air hoses were installed in order to blow loose water off of my windows. I asked a worker there if I could have a towel to dry off my windows since their air compressor was broke and I could not blow the water off. He said he would give me a towel for $1. They increased the price to $10, the air compressor was broken, AND they charge for a towel that I wouldn't have needed if their air compressor wasn't broke. Pay more and get less should be their motto. read more

I enjoy that this is a quick process and easy to do. I also like the vacuum availability. What I don't like is that my car has been left with water droplets in several places each time I come and towels (cloth or paper) are not available to dry off the rest of the way. This is by far the best carwash experience I've ever had. I'll break it down: 1. Pull up to the cashier lanes, one lane is to pay the cashier themselves and the other lame is for people with a membership. Memberships appeared to be low price and they even have one membership for two cars for $30 a month 5 washes a month. 1a. They have complimentary coffee, they give you a pre moistened wipe for your dashboard, you get to select the air freshener that you'd like, small plastic trash bag and they give you a receipt with a coupon if you pay through the cashier lane because you have no membership...yet! 2. After paying and getting all the extra goodies you follow the road into the car wash line, You'll note 3 associates: one leading you in, and two on either side of your vehicle for extra scrubbing. Even if you get the ultimate car wash it is less than 10 minutes. The only reason they didn't get five stars was because my experience with the dryer at the end of the carwash wasn't that great, I noted it left the front of my car still wet which resulted in water spots because I didn't have a towel with me. Other than that I would have given it 5 Stars. 3. After your car is washed you have two options, you can either continue going straight which leads you out to an exit near river or you can turn right into the free vacuum area. This is where I realized it was better than all the other car washes around town. Not only do they have a handicap space for handicap drivers but they also how sturdy awnings with vacuums and the tiny air compressor thing for small areas. Trash cans are clearly in front of each vacuum Bay and best of all the trash can has a space for recyclable material as well as trash. Happy washing! read more

I always leave with soap on my car and this car wash doesn't remove dirt, etc. as it should especially when you pay for the higher price option. We absolutely love Surf Thru Express Car Wash and have had a Share Card for well over a year. The Share card entitles us to five washes a month and is not limited to one specific vehicle. It is a great deal for our two vehicles. The only thing preventing me from giving them five stars is the following: - Occasionally, it will process us through with the wrong wash. You can go back through, but it would be nice if it was correct all the time. - Vacuums have been lackluster at times. - Air hoses to blow water out of cracks, etc have been inop a lot. That said, the people who work at Surf Thru are good. Since we take a vehicle through the wash every weekend, one particular employee remembers exactly what we like (Pina Colada air freshener, no dash wipe or trash bag). It is the little details like this that make this a great place for a wash. They also have a four day rain guarantee. So, save yourself some cash by avoiding the chain that seems to be taking over Tucson at a rapid pace with expensive washes and head on over to Surf Thru. Sure, you have to vacuum and dry yourself, but so what? I get a better dry job and vacuum job than I have ever had at one of those behemoth chain car washes. read more

I would recommend using this place to get your car washed! I went for the first time today and had a great experience. I sent a text to their text club number and got a free Ultimate wash. (You can find the number in the tips section below.) Either way the prices are pretty reasonable. They have free vacuums after the car wash. They also give you a free dash wipe too, which was awesome because I was out. While I was vacuuming out my car an employee came by and saw that I still had bugs on the front of my car. He then said if I had time that I could go through the car wash again! I wasn't in a rush so I did! When I went through the car wash again Hector was standing there to inform the people that were washing the car that this was my second time and to make sure to get the bugs! I was very, very impressed with the customer service here. I came here because a friend had recommended I try it. It's a new place, and he said it's now his favorite car wash place. Now I know why. First of all the prices are very reasonable. Express wash for $6, very basic wash & the ultimate wash for $12 which includes the works. If you purchase the ultimate you'll get $4 off your next ultimate wash...good deal right? It's a drive thru car wash, after you pay the cashier, you go over to the wash, the guys start to brush/scrub the bugs off of your car or scrub off the hard to get out stuff, then the wash begins! You don't have to get out of your car at all. Vacuums are complimentary available when you get done with your wash. Little tip, go when it's not so busy because your time will be limited to just five minutes when there is a line waiting to use them. But don't fret, there are a lot of vacuum stations available, so it's very rare that there will be a line anyway. So here's my story... My car was super dirty when I got there, I'm telling you bug guts galore on top of the dirt! On my windshield, front bumper & hood! Yuck! Anyway, I went through the wash once, and the guy that inspects your car at the end told me "you still got bugs on your car so go through the wash again." I thought, "wow, ok". So off I go through the wash again. This time was better. Then I go to vacuum my car. A little hesitant cause I never been there before, I pulled up to a vacuum station thinking I'd have to pay, but nope, they were ready to go, and ready to be used. Yay! So while I'm vacuuming my car, one of the attendants come over and say that there's a few more bugs that were missed. He offered to hand wipe them off my car for me. How cool is that? All in all, I think I've found my new favorite car wash too! Love the ease of going through the wash, and the friendly staff is amazing! This car wash location is new and recently opened! The manager told me it is the first location in Arizona, that they came from California. I got a coupon from my mail that gave me $4 off on an Ultimate Wash (Original price is $12) which is the top package - you can get the same deal by coming back within the next 14 days with your receipt. In addition to the coupon, they give you a free dash wipe and AC freshener of your choice when you pay at the cashier. The washing process here is a bit different compared to the other locations in Arizona. They start off with two guys spraying water and brushing your car with soap and then send your car through the robotic arms. Other than that, there is a free vacuuming and compressed air area like any other places. However, the carpet mat vacuum machine is not free! I think it is because it has another function such as adding water or soap (I think). This place has a great customer service! When I was vacuuming my car after going through an Ultimate wash experience, I noticed there were still many bug stains in the front of my car. I asked the guy walking by, who happened to be the manager, if they have anything to do for bugs. He just told me to drive my car through the whole Ultimate process again, free of charge, whenever I am done with whatever I was doing. So I did that, and there were still some amount of bug stains left. I pulled up at the vacuuming area again to repeat my drying process and planned to leave after. However, the manager walked up to me to check the bug stains and told me to run it through the Ultimate process again for the third time! I have been using this car wash for about eight months now and I really love it! I used to use another place but it was just too expensive. I got the deal the first time and I just bought another one today where I got three washes and got three free so it makes my washes about six dollars each. You have to vacuum your car yourself which I need to do because I have two terriers that are in my car everyday and the other car wash just doesn't do as good of a job as I do getting the hair out. Coming from a paying club member of mister, this ine does seem pretty good! Just wish there was more locations around. The tunnel that washes really does a good job, and they kinda "pre-wash" before you go in. They have bigg we parking for bigger vehicles, or just so you don't feel so cramped in there. The very basic wash was only $6, which is cheaper then the others around town. The one downside is that the employees could use a little more in the customer service area, but it wasnt horrible. I took the work vehicle today, I just may have to come back with my personal sometime. read more

I have used this car wash for a few years with good results. The last time I went something jolted my truck while going through. When I exited and went out to the vacuums I noticed damage on the tailgate that looked like it had been hit. I showed it to the attendant who took pictures and assured me it would be reviewed. I heard nothing for 2 weeks so I called and was told the footage in the car wash showed that damage was preexisting. It was not. I stopped by when I was in the area to speak to a manager and was told they would not take responsibility for the damage. I called the area manager Burke who was flippant and rude. I took my truck to a nearby body shop and was told it looked the car wash damage and they do not use Surf Thru due to experiences similar to mine. My almost new crimson red truck is now damaged and I will have to bear the expense of repairing it. read more

I rarely give out one star but sadly this place has earned it. Over the last six months we have taken our vehicles to be washed and every. single. time. It breaks down. I'm not talking about once or twice, I'm talking over 6 different occasions. This results in us sitting stuck anywhere from 5-15 minutes while they try to fix it. By the time they get it running the soap has usually dried and the car is a mess. Sometimes they offer to re-run it, usually they don't, and we end up having to take our vehicles to Octopus to have them re-cleaned. This place was great when it opened but the service, quality and ability to at least clean the vehicles has taken a sharp nose-dive. We won't be returning any longer. read more

I went there once and after the car wash noticed heavy scratches all over the car and when I complained about it they took my info and pics and didn't even bothered moving it forward After 4 weeks I checked back again. Then they apologized for the delay and within a week came back and said they deny the claim and wouldn't even give a reason why and refused to sent me that in writing. Been coming here for years with the same lifted truck and never had any issues. Today, my truck is magically too tall and the tires are too wide to fit. I explained I've frequently come here for years and have never been told I can't go through the car wash in this truck. The response I got today was "well we aren't willing to damage our equipment to get your truck washed." Very rude trashy guy we dealt with.
