When looking for contractors to build the stairs, I noticed the same stair builder was always posting about Fine Wood Finishers. Let me make something very clear to everyone reading this, I work for a large commericial union paint company. Even though we are great painters, we do not do any sort of staining or "finishing" of stair cases as we don't do single family residential projects. I reached out via social media to Fine Wood Finishers and received a very quick response from them. After messaging back and forth, we finally just exchanged phone numbers and discussed the project in length. Trust slowly being achieved. Of course the biggest concern I had was trusting someone with a brand new stair case. Good woodwork can turn to garbage if the finish is poorly applied. I also struggled with trusting the oak treads and rail could be color matched to the faux finish of the LVP flooring. Bryan came to my house to pick up a piece of LVP floor and some scrap treads to begin color matching. We signed the proposal and a within a few days Bryan and crew mobilized to my house and began the prep work. They seemed to have applied 4+ coats of pigmented clear coat to get the color to our liking. At this point we had trust in Bryan. Work began in October 2024. What really impressed me was how they used small pinpoint brushes to apply dark tint to each of the nail heads that were filled with puddy. Once the color was achieved the next step was applying the white finish to the risers, stringer and wainscot paneling. Bryan did most if not all the spraying himself. Multiple coats of primer and at least 2 coats of finish. Last step was caulking all the joints. As I write this review today September 10, 2025, I can confirm the quality of the finish is as good today as it was on day #1. The products used are top notch and the application was excellent. I am so happy every time I go up and down the stairs knowing the investment I made in Fine Wood Finishers was well worth every dollar. The stairs are the first thing people see when they enter my house, and I couldn't be happier when I receive compliments from guests. Bryan and his crew proved they could be trusted.

I gave them the job of refinishing my house front door for $3.800. Barocio asked for half down and wanted a full payment immediately after completion, which I paid promptly. Well, bubbles started showing a few days later. He refused to repair the job unless I pay him again. I reminded him that there is an implied warranted on any work he does and insisted he does the repair. He eventually promised to fix it. That was in March 2025. He kept promising to come over but never showed up. It's now August and I gave up on him. I'm just going to have another refinished do the repair and charge it back to Barocio.

I had a sloppy tile contractor who had missed several grout lines and several places had pin holes…read morethat ultimately would damage the tiles when cleaning them with water. Used Yelp to start getting bids on different contractors. Many of the contractors did not provide this kind of service or it was not worth their time. Peter the owner of Marblelife contacted me via Yelp and informed me that he could help with the grout lines. His initial visit was to inspect the tiles/grout and then provided me an estimate. He was able to order the custom grout for me which matched the color of the existing grout. Now most contractors would of done this job in a rush. Peter properly did the job and cleaned up on the spots that needed to be corrected. Most importantly, he did not leave the house dirty. His work is neat and precise. It took Peter approximately 8 hours to correct the work by the lousy contractor that we hired to install the tiles. Peter's costs are also reasonable and fair.

It turned out to be a complete mismatch. Even I can see it's a very dark brown. Beside the color, it looks like it was painted with a brush and has a lot of sanding gouges. He refused to do anything about it.
