My son and I took our seadoo's to Newport Dunes, launched and as we got through the channel to open sea I realized I did not have my truck keys. One morning, my elderly neighbor locked herself out of her home. I called these guys and within 15 minutes, a gentleman had arrived. He quickly got down to business. He was courteous and efficient. Made my flight!!!!!! This review is a long time in coming! I should have written this a long time ago - April 2019 - I lost the feedback card until now. I have not forgotten how well I was treated by Mehdi from Surfside. I locked my keys in the trunk of my rental car and was getting ready to leave for the airport for my flight! Mehdi arrived within 5 min of my call to AAA and jumped into action. In the car in minutes but trunk release disabled due to keys in trunk. Back seat release was in the trunk (how safe but inconvenient). Hertz was of NO help! Long story short Mehdi had arranged to have a new key cut and delivered to our location by another employee. All of this in a timely manner so that I was miraculously able to make my flight. We had exceptionally great service from Surfside Lock and Key on April 26, 2016. We had just arrived in Mission Viejo, Ca, at our relatives home after having flown in only two hours earlier. I managed to lock the only key of our rental car in the trunk. What a predicament at the very beginning of our vacation. Thankfully, we have AAA. I phoned immediately. I had a great experience with Surfside Lock and Key yesterday. This was not the first time that I have locked my keys in my car and I'm sure it won't be the last. Ryan showed up in less than thirty minutes, as advertised, and he was very kind. In previous experiences, the technician has struggled to unlock my car quickly and his "utility stick" has scratched the sides of my car. Thankfully, Ryan was the exact opposite! He brought these little plastic cards that slide into the door and that way his utility stick didn't damage my car. He also unlocked within a minute of arriving. WAY TO GO RYAN!! Called AAA since I had a Honda Odyssey 2016 which stopped responding to the fob key! They came in 15 minutes and opened the door in 5 minutes. So my ignition locked on my 91 Cherokee Jeep. I called other automotive locksmiths but just didn't feel comfortable dealing with random people. I had a notion and called AAA because I remembered that they offered referrals for automotive service needs with different companies that they rate. I advised the representative that I needed a locksmith that was good with ignitions. He recommended SURFSIDE Lock & Key of Irvine .. Masood was awesome he came to our home and replaced the ignition on my car in less than an hour I was initially quoted that he would be arrive to my home in an hour. Masood arrived within 30 mins of my phone call. He was very knowledgeable in regards to locks and ignitions. I appreciated him because he never made us feel unimportant.. Which was a big help after not being able to drive my car for 3 days. In regards to the previous review which at first had me concerned I realized that a locksmith is a specialized skill and this was a unique situation that could have cost me way more than usual at a dealership. I feel that having a AAA membership was worth it . Not only do I have a new ignition with a warranty, but I have a reliable source to reach out to for my home and auto locksmith needs out side of a regular roadside assistance call.
