Said they would "evaluate" any parts that may need to be replaced. Evaluate apparently means start replacing parts hoping you get to the one that fixes it. In my case they replaced a Thermister ($158, $15 on Amazon)), didn't fix it, then the high-limit switch (($120, $14 on amazon), didn't fix it. I told the tech that Pich-a-penny said the inline temp sensor was likely the issue ($179, $29 on amazon) that fixed it. Still charged me for not needed parts. When the heater started heating tech left instead of waiting for it to reach high temp, heater again failed and I had to call and complain to get him back. He had not calibrated the temp sensor. Terrible approach to solving problems. Could have installed bench parts to find the problem, if that is not it put my parts back in. Didn't leave my old parts either. read more

Ugh, they built and warrantied our pool for 1 year. We've called them multiple times on the warranty. They were unable to get our salt cell working correctly. We had to work with a different company even though it was under warranty. We had an issue with our heater which was diagnosed by the heater tech sent out as a problem with the panel installed by surfside. surfside came out looked for a few minutes said it was working and left. It was not working again the next day. They have extreme communication issues with customers in that it's severely lacking. They don't follow up on issues and when you remind them they have several outstanding issues they act like they have no idea. Their service manager is condescending and is the one who failed to fix the salt cell and the heater. I've requested they not send him out again. We're still under warranty and still waiting months for them to get back to us on issues. USE ANOTHER COMPANY!!! read more

Recently purchased a home with this pool. It had stains on the bottom that we couldn't get up no matter what we tried or who we asked. I was embarrassed to have people over to swim because it looked uninviting. Surfside sent over their service manager and he was able to figure out the cause and solution. That was a Friday, and by Tuesday the job was done. They drained the pool and performed an acid wash to remove iron and copper staining. Now it looks brand new. Surfside built my pool in 2008. They were respectful, on time, and did a quality job as far as we can tell. Their price was fair. We have been happy so far. The only regret I have is ordering the salt pool system from them. The cell is very expensive to operate and lasted only a few years before needing replacement so we switched to chlorine sanitizing, and things have worked well since, though chlorine costs have shot up. I used to be able to buy chemicals from them, but they discontinued their retail store. read more

We hired them because we wanted to support a local business and they burned us every chance they got and never fixed the leaks in the pool they "built" for us. Overall a terrible experience. Called to get a estimate for new pool. Attempted twice to get someone to call me and no one ever did! So if you need a company that will call you back- won't happen. The receptionist was rude both times. Heard an individual yelling in the background of my second call!!! He's been super-attentive to all of our needs, as have everyone that we've worked with at Surfside Pool. We talked to three other pool companies before deciding on Surfside.
