We came here for a quick lunch and we're not disappointed!…read more We ordered miso soup (it was ok...standard miso soup). The house salads were incredibly crisp and dressing was flavorful. We ordered three rolls: Scorpio roll Orion roll Alaskan roll These were BIG rolls. We liked all three but my fave was...not sure, it was whichever I was eating a piece of at the time. We will definitely be coming back!

I appreciated the picture book menu that spelled things out. Given I'm a Taurus I had to get the Taurus roll. (They have a roll for every star sign). The Taurus was a tempura roll with all the trimmings. And a Shrimp California roll to balance things out. Had some tea - it was regular as opposed to green. And then the miso soup. The soup was standard fare. The rolls came quickly; by then I was the only guest. Both were quite good but the Shrimp California was a real surprise. You can tell when you get quality ingredients served closed to room temp and the rice itself was really great. Service throughout was quick, quiet and kind. 4.5. This maybe my new go to. It seems less expensive than our other favorite and given it's also less busy it might be the better overall choice. I just hope they get more patrons than the night I was there.

There are options for sitting at the hibachi table or in the dining room. We chose the hibachi and we're joining by five other new friends. The hibachi is entertaining for anyone that has never been there. It's a great way to celebrate a birthday or a special occasion, particularly for kids. There are options on the menu for sushi, appetizers, in addition to the hibachi specials. The hibachi specials are prepared right in front of you and you can choose from variety of proteins that includes chicken, beef, shrimp, scallops to name a few. All dishes come with rice and vegetables soup and a salad. Potions are very generous. This location does offer a full bar and our service were pretty attentive and we didn't wait too long for anything. The only exception was that I didn't feel the restaurant was exceptionally clean, which is probably due to the hibachi cooking grease. Floors were slippery, curtains separating dining room from bathrooms were in serious need of laundering. If you're looking for a meal where you can have a little fun and not too concerned about housekeeping, you can find a decent meal at this location.

Of course there are some more fancier than others but they do a great job here and try to keep you entertained all while serving you food. We had enough food to take some home. I'd definitely return as the entire experience here was lovely.

Been here a couple times since moving back to Sarnia and I've not been impressed with Hana so far…read more The rolls aren't consistent, not even how they're made from visit to visit (the Lambton roll, I think it was called, was a regular maki roll one time and then a sliced up hand roll the second time?). Some of them, like the crispy spicy salmon (a staple of mine) are pitifully small, like what you'd get at a grocery bento. On one of my visits there was only a handful of tables sitting in and they still missed 1 of 6 items I ordered. I try not to knock AYCE places too much for that if it's busy or if my table has ordered a lot of items, but I didn't think either applied here. Plus the staff were looking aimless and I had to flag them down to get my drink refilled. Nothing I ate tasted bad and, individually, the rolls are good. But the overall experience I've had both times here was underwhelming, I suppose. I've just moved back from London, ON where there was obviously better selection, but of the sushi places Sarnia has gained since a few years ago, there's better options than Hana in town.

In the rest of the world, they don't cut the fish paper thin so you can't taste it. They don't point the katsu so thin that the breading is thicker than the meat in both sides. The spice crispy salmon rolls are not filled with the crumbs so that you can't taste not taste the salmon and it's like eating a spoonful of bread crumbs. They are skimping so much on the important parts that it just kills the meal. Very poorly done.... Not up to any standards

My first time ever to Grand Bend and they have a Sushi bar! Woo-hoo! Be mindful that it's not AYCE,…read moreand the prices are on the higher side, but the entire experience and meal was wonderful nonetheless. Today, we were over at my boyfriend's sister's trailer in Pinehurst and decided we wanted to do a day trip to Grand Bend, since I have never been (shocking, I know!) and she had recommended this sushi bar, because it's the only one in Grand Bend and the menu looked good. It sits along the strip in a beautiful sized restaurant with indoor, outdoor and patio seating. We opted to go inside because we needed to get the sun off our backs for a bit as it had been a super hot and sunny day. It was around lunchtime, so we seated ourselves and right away was greeted by our waiter who handed us menus and got us some cold water. As previously mentioned, this isn't an All You Can Eat Sushi Bar, and this is the ONLY sushi bar in Grand Bend, so the prices for the rolls, appetizers, salads, etc, are a bit on the expensive side. I had my heart set on anything salmon, it's my favourite, so I ordered the salmon sashimi, philly roll, salmon roll and a seaweed salad. All our meals had promptly came out very quickly and the presentation was beautiful. The philly roll was smoked salmon and the actual salmon roll and salmon sashimi was fresh salmon. It tasted fresh, not fishy at all, and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the jalapeno popper wontons, seaweed salad, and an avocado roll, all of which were delicious. All in all, the food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly, the prices were more on the expensive side, being that Grand Bend is more of a touristy kind of beach town that attracts a lot of people. I would recommend this restaurant and I would come back here myself if I ever venture back to Grand Bend.

Two stars removed for the surprisingly bad live entertainment. During our recent Monday evening visit, we were seated outside on the beautiful patio, and spent our meal listening to a troubled & whiney young man, let the audience know throughout his set, how drunk he had been the night before, how hung over he was currently, and how excited he was to get drunk again as he performed. Really an off-putting experience that will have us calling ahead to confirm if there is live music happening next time we hope to visit!
