Husband had shoulder surgery and it was a pleasant experience from scheduling to picking him up after surgery. The post-op nurse was very nice and attentive, and the cna who helped us out to the car was friendly. I was surprised by how fast the process was from start to finish. Husband slept pretty much rest of the day afterward but he was fine. He is no longer in pain from his shoulder other than just some bruising and has regained most of the function in his left shoulder which is getting better everyday. read more

I had my first ever surgery here on my knee I was terrified. It took about 30ish minutes past my time to be called back which helped my nerves get worse but once back there everyone was beyond kind. Unfortunately I don't remember anyone's name but each person even the ones not working directly with me were patient and kind. My nurses were caring and talked me through everything, the anesthesiologist came and explained everything and when I got in the OR they could see I was scared and reassured me the whole time. I woke up in recovery and my nurse was right there. Helped prop me up and get me another blanket and get dressed got me crackers and sprite and medicine because my head hurt so bad. I just can't thank them all enough for making my first surgery so easy ! Thank you! read more

Horrible experience! When I asked the nurse if I could give my wedding rings to my husband in the waiting room she said no. She said she was putting them in an envelope sealed with my patient sticker where they would be "secure". That was the LAST time I saw my wedding ring. I never even opened the envelope. My engagement ring fell out in front of me and I have no idea what happened to my wedding ring. When I went back numerous times to talk to the receptionist and manager, but they were apathetic. The office manager brought out a document she said I signed after my surgery saying I had all my valuables. I don't even remember getting dressed after my surgery, so how could I have been coherent enough to know I had all my valuables?! The only person who actually showed they cared was Dr. Bigler at my follow up. This all could have been avoided had the nurse let me give my rings to my husband. Then to make a horrible experience worse, I just got a bill from them saying I owe them $800 more! Any money I have saved for a new ring, I now have to give to the people who lost my ring. I would give them a 0 rating for bad customer service if possible. read more

All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very efficient and fast, felt like I went in and out.

My left knee was in need of surgical repair and my doctor arranged for it to be done here. I was called by the surgical coordinator and told when to come in for pre-op visit and when I arrived, I was given a pack for forms to complete. I then dropped them off at the surgical center and was told when to return for my surgery. On the morning of my surgery, I arrived at the designated time and was taken to the back almost immediately. I was processed quickly by my pre-op nurse, and because the first patient of the morning had a fever, I was moved up to first case. As I was told, I was in and out in less than 2 hours. I received excellent care while I was there. The next day I was called to ensure that I had no post op concerns and was doing well. I had a very good experience here and wouldn't hesitate to return if the need arose. read more

So I am here with a family member who's getting a procedure done. Just from what I'm hearing around me makes me think this place is a hot mess all together . The front desk staff speaks very loudly and it seems the health information of the patients is somewhat exposed. I feel like I am in the middle of a cattle call of some sorts. People in and out - an " overflow" waiting room WTF? I feel some sort of strange anxiety even sitting here . Note to self - I certainly would never hope I would ever have to come back here as a patient or for my family member . Yikes! read more

I must have died and went to hospital heaven. This place was amazing. The staff was cheerful... happy, even. Everyone just seemed like they were all in such a great mood... I dont think I've been anywhere that everyone was in such a good mood. It helped make my experience a lot easier to approach. And the amount of clean! During these Covid-19 times, if any of them had a free hand, they were using it to wipe and clean everything down. I absolutely love the nurses here! I come here for back injections about 4-5 times annually, and have had 2 knee surgeries this year. I adore all the nurses! They have an excellent bedside manner! Heather is my favorite! I am a horrible stick, and she seems to get in my vein the first time all the time! It's unbelievable! Thank you all! read more

From the time you walk in to the time you leave the entire staff was very friendly, helpful and informative. I have been to this location 5 times and each time I have had a good experience. I've been to Surgical Arts Center numerous times over the past 2 years and have been extremely impressed with the entire staff every visit. With pain management procedures, it's not uncommon to wait sometimes hours to even be called back to prep for a procedure that takes less than 20 minutes, that is not the case here. Your appointment time is your appointment time (unless you are first time or need update your paperwork which takes less than 10 minutes or if your ambitions can be done online prior to appointment). The entire staff is extremely professional and pleasant. The nurses are super friendly, work fast and efficiently I can't even name a favorite nurse because they've all been great. In the procedure room, the assistants, and anesthesiologists are very professional and calming. I highly recommend this place and am glad my Dr (Dr Rosler) uses it. read more

After my 3rd visit for procedures, I finally feel comfortable enough to review the facility. The staff is amazing and efficient. They will call your ride to be picked up so they don't have to wait for you during a procedure = 5 stars. The facility is small with only two treatment rooms (that I can see) and a large staging area. I would think it would be more efficient with an addition room = lose a star. Overall, I have been quite pleased with this out patient facility. Out of 5 outpatient facilities I have experienced in town for various reasons, this one has the most amazing staff. read more

This place completely lacks empathy. From the moment I checked in until the moment I left. Upon checking in the girl at the front desk asked me how I was and I replied, "I'm nervous." Of course I'm nervous, just as everyone who walks through the doors is nervous to have surgery. She simply said "oh" and took my credit card. There are literally only a handful of hard chairs in the waiting room. I asked her if that was the only place to sit and she said there was an overflow waiting room down the hall. I walked with my husband to check it out and a literally couldn't believe my eyes. Hard chairs in a huge empty room with nothing on the walls. I felt so bad that this was the place that he was going to have to sit and wait for me. Once I was in the surgical waiting area, it was quite uncomfortable because the curtains didn't close all the way and I could see people coming out of surgery going behind their little recovery curtain and others who were just like me waiting to be called back to surgery. The anesthesiologist came to meet me but I literally had to ask him questions because he didn't offer any info on his own. When it was finally time for surgery I had to get up and walk into the OR myself. I've never walked myself into an OR before. That was weird. Upon trying to get settled on the table the anesthesiologist was putting a mask over my face and a guy next to him was grabbing my hand where the IV was. I tried twice to pull my hand away because he was pushing on the needle and he said, "give me your hand." I told him it hurt and he claimed it was the medication. I pushed the mask off of my face and asked the anesthesiologist what it was and he told me it was oxygen. He put it back over my face which I again pushed away and asked if he would please tell me when he was giving me the stuff that was going to make me fall asleep. Meanwhile a woman was untying my gown to expose the shoulder I was having surgery on and someone else was doing something at my feet but not one person explained to me what they were doing. Hello people - I'm laying myself on the OR bed. I'm nervous! Could you at least explain to me what you're doing? In a place like this it is imperative that you have empathetic workers. read more

I have seen Doctor Mckenna and been to Surgical art center Since 2008 That procedures area little pricey and sometimes there's a wait but Dr. Mckenna gave me my life back. I was unable to work for 7 years I was disabled and after I hurt my back in 2006 it was such a mess and I was in so much pain and I'm finally back to work and I've held a job for almost a year Doctor Mckenna might have a rough bedside manner but he is the best at what he does. And the surgical art center it is the same people is not a high turn around and sometimes yes there might be a wait and they might get backed up but they know what they're doing. After waiting in the outer office for what seemed an eternity, I was taken back to a large, very open and "un-private" area. It seemed very cold and scary. I was screened, blood drawn and a curtain drawn. I was given a surgical gown to put on and told to wait with the others. I was almost immediately taken back for surgery (not because of the surgical center, but because my doctor was on top of things). The procedure did not work for me, unfortunately. I ended up paying $85 for "co-pay" and finance charges because the insurance company did not pay all of the charges and while I tried to sort it out with my insurance, they charged a "finance charge" What a joke! Any surgery is stressful and an outpatient surgical center can sometimes be a little more un-nerving but this experience was exceptional. All of the nurses were superior! Caring and competent. Trust me I am a nurse. My anesthesiologist, Dr Young, was also wonderful. I had an issue that he needed to be extra sensitive to and gave me his plan for me. Surgery was a success and the anesthesia was uneventful. I woke up easily, not over sedated. I took a nap when I got home and the rest of my day was pleasant. My surgeon was Dr Bigler. If your having knee or shoulder outpatient surgery, I would recommend this facility and all of these medical professionals. read more

I wouldn't know if the medical portion of the practice is any good. After waiting 90 minutes past my appointment time, I was told that it would be another 30 minutes. I had to leave to make another appointment. The fact that the receptionist showed no concern or even attempted to offer an explanation as to why the wait was so long, and stated what appears to be a standard statement, "Just call the doctor to reschedule." makes me believe that this is SOP for this practice; over-book-make-them-wait. I'm always disappointed when a business shows their utter disregard for their customer's time. It makes them appear to believe that their time is more valuable than my time, and that's not right. read more

An overflowing waiting room, patients lined up on the floor in the hall outside, definitely a fire hazard. The front desk asked if I filled out the online information, which I was never informed about. After sitting in a crowded waiting room for almost an hour with only one person being called in that time, we decided to leave. Any clinic that has such a disregard for their patients and the safety of neighboring suites is not going to be putting a needle in my spine. The facility and staff were amazing. The ease of the check in process was greatly appreciated. Medical check ins and waiting rooms can be torturous but this office is very thorough and brief. The nurses were incredibly kind and concerned about the wellbeing of all the patients before and after their medical procedures. I would not recommend the facility to anybody! I interacted with SEVEN people; starting with the receptionists, who were only concerned about collecting the co-pays. They are the initial point of contact and should show some concern for people who are dealing with the apprehension of surgery. Not one introduction or explanation of the procedure throughout the entire visit. I never met the doctor and was not asked if I had any questions. The Anesthesiologist pushed the medication so fast without even verifying my name or DOB. The staff was more concerned about interacting with each other about their weekend activities or scrolling through their cell phones. They move the patients through there like cattle. It's an awkward set up with little privacy. The CNA was present with me in the elevator but did not assist me to the car. I walked as though I was intoxicated, so she should have seated me in the car safely. I work in the medical field as well and know the importance of treating people like people, not animals. read more

This was my second time going here.... The first time was last month for injections in my back, today was for my neck ( both from a car accident) The first time was awesome..... I didn't feel like cattle like some have said and as far as privacy??? For what....we are all there for a quick surgery, I love the fact that you are pretty much in and out. This place should be closed down! They are nothing but a bunch of quacks ! Let me tell you about my experience. Today,I went to The surgical arts center for a procedure. six diagnostic injections in my lower back. They had the paperwork all messed up and they told me it was going to be steroids. I am a diabetic And I've had three steroid injections already in a three month time frame. Lots of side effects high blood sugar headaches. They finally got the paperwork figured out and read the notes from the ordering physician and it said no steroids. Not to mention I am in a ton of pain my pain is off the chart. They go ahead and give me mild sedation and do the procedure. When I woke up I was in excruciating pain and wanted to know what the hell they done. They are supposed to help you manage your pain. One of the quacks looked at the other and said less discharge him, Without notifying my driver they took me downstairs and left me in the vestibule by the door to the outside and left. I tried to call my driver but his cell phone was dead and he was waiting upstairs in the waiting room. 5:30 The nurse upstairs ask him what he was doing and said they were all done with the procedures. He asked them where I was at and they did not know was there reply. I find it so unprofessional let alone disturbing patient dumping is what happened to me. They tell you you have to have a driver for a procedure yet they screw you up cause you more pain and dump you by the back door without notifying your driver. They leave lock the door and go home.
