The ladies were all helpful and asked me to let them know if I needed any assistance. They let me browse but offered to put a dress in the dressing room once I selected one. I noticed a few brides trying on dresses as well and the ladies were never pushy and actually one offered advice on what to expect with alterations. She mentioned a seamstress would be coming in shortly and could offer better advice. This alone seemed so helpful for the bride- what a wonderful service to be offered BEFORE you say yes to the dress. I ended up purchasing a gorgeous dress at a fraction of the price.

I was impressed that with such a short description and only trying on 6 dresses, I was able to say "Yes to the Dress!" Not only did Sophie do a great job at finding my vision in the perfect dress, but she also handles the entire appointment with professionalism, empathy, and kindness! I felt so comfortable working with her. She was responsive to my questions over texts after the dress was selected and gave me timely updates! We were lucky in the appointment day was during the trunk show. I was able to get a nice discount for purchasing the day of - cherry on top! I had a great consultant, I found a dress, and I never once felt uncomfortable as a plus size shopper (which was my biggest stress point). Faith did an excellent job narrowing down what would be perfect for me by asking questions in order to get me to articulate why I did or did not like something, helped me into all the dresses without any hesitation, and found dresses that were flattering for me. Best of all, there was way more in my budget of $800 max than I ever expected! Faith also was great at making on the fly alterations to the dresses to either make straps fit better, adding petticoats to make the dress fuller, clipping unwanted fabric out of the way as needed, etc. - thank you for all you do! I also had an amazing experience picking up my dress after having it altered; the pockets were laying a little weird with the dress on and they fixed it on the spot in about 20 minutes for me. The store itself was messy both times. It genuinely made me wonder if they own a vacuum. It also left me questioning the quality of the dresses. The zipper on my wedding dress split completely in half on my wedding day, and I ended up being held together with safety pins that proceeded to stab everyone who hugged me. Thankfully, I'd bought a reception dress on Amazon as a backup! Fast forward to last week. While my best friend was trying on dresses, our consultant (I believe her name was Lilly--she had two first names) was incredibly rude. She was helping her "really good friend" who was also trying on dresses at the exact same time as my friend. She was pushy with our group, constantly complimented the other bride, and didn't say a single kind thing to my best friend. The moment that really stood out was when she was fluffing my friend's dress. Her friend walked out in another gown, and she literally dropped my friend's dress onto the floor and walked away to help her instead. Why was she assigned to two brides at once--especially when one was clearly her personal friend? She shouldn't have been juggling two appointments in the first place. Honestly, we would've had a better experience if she'd simply left us alone. At the end of the appointment, we wanted to put one of the dresses on hold for a few hours, and somehow that became a confusing ordeal for multiple employees. The entire experience felt disorganized from start to finish. Overall, this location felt dirty, poorly managed, and far from welcoming. Bridal shopping should be exciting and make brides feel special. Instead, both visits left us frustrated and disappointed.

The Monique L. boutique in Los Angeles only had certain styles available and for a hefty price tag of $650 each and the one that I wanted was discontinued. I then searched wedding websites galore to try and find used ones that might be for sale.....no luck! I eventually found Marina's wedding sash rental company. My prayers had been answered and I got to rent the exact Monique Lhuillier belt that I had been hunting for.....for a fraction of the cost! What a genius she is for creating a company of this sort. She also had belts and sashes from "Vera Wang" and other high end items like "Toni Federici" veils, "chanel" brooches and things of that nature. Everything that you could want to complete your couture look. She was very helpful in advising me what would go best with my dress and she also gives discounts for renting multiple items. I ended up wearing two different Monique Lhuillier belts....one for the ceremony and a different one for the reception. Marina was very easy to work with and made the whole process very simplistic.
