I had a front hitch receiver installed from Surwic. They followed the Curt hitch instructions and it stated to trim off part of my front lower air dam. Afterward when I inspected the hitch, the air dam did not needed to be cut to install the hitch. I ask Nick, the shop owner, and he agreed but stated they followed the instructions. He immediately call the manufacturer and their Curt representative and got them to pay to replace my air dam. However I had to pick it up from the dealership. That same day they reimburse the part and because of my additional trip, refunded $ for gas. I was pleasantly surprised at their commitment to satisfy a customer. OMGosh...... we needed help with our Blue Ox hitch for our truck to our motor coach. We lost one of the trailer hitch pins and it was July 4th! YIKes ... everything was closed. Try to find something open...not happening. Early Friday morning, I called Blue Ox directly and asked for a dealer in the Memphis area. They sent me to Surwic.... what a blessing. My husband called this company about getting brake pads for our trailer. There price was a little above what we wanted to pay so we got them from a different company. My husband realized that he needed another part called a caliper he had gotten a price quote from this company for $260.00. He drove to Memphis to pick it up when he got there the person remembered talking to him and asked him if he was going to get the pads and the caliper my husband told him he only needed the caliper. They charge us $599.18 for the part!!!!! When my husband told him the price he was quoted yesterday the person said oh no that's what we get the part for!!!! They almost double the cost of a part. I think the biggest thing to complain about would be communication. Had I known I'd be charged $65 for a spring and brake adjuster to be installed on my trailer and the spindle nut to be installed, I would've done it myself. All I really wanted was to buy the brake adjuster kit, but if they were willing to install it too, that might be fine. I pulled in at 415. I was out by 445. I packed my own bearings. The tire was still attached to the hub, so the spindle nut was all that needed to be done after installing the spring and brake adjuster. As for customer service, I got yelled at twice. The first time was because I was standing too close to him working (3 ft maybe?). Then when I paid at the end and was told $65 labor and I screwed in shock, I was told I was lucky they even did it for me. Well sir, honestly for what you did I would've preferred to have done it myself. I didn't say that to him because I don't like confrontation. All I can say is if I have trailer problems in Memphis ever again, I'll definitely steer clear of this place. Not that they did a bad job because I was satisfied with what they did. Great shop and great staff! We had them install a new Blue OX System on out Motor Home and GMC pickup. They had said it could take 2 1/2 days to get everything done, the had my pickup on Monday by 11:00 AM and we were out of their shop by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, Mr Danny had called and said they were waiting on the UPS truck for a final part and that they would stay and do what ever it takes to get us rolling, this was during the Corona virus outbreak and they knew we wanted to get the heck out of town. The owner Danny is a great example of what customer service and southern manners used to be and should be again. After having a horrible experience with my travel trailer, (purchased at a local RV dealer) which involved bent axles, I called Mr. Danny Surwic for advice. I spoke with him on three different occasions about my problem. Even though Surwic did not have anything to do with my problem, and I wasn't purchasing anything from them to fix it, Mr. Surwic was still willing to help me and gave me excellent advice.
