I came here to get a pair of shorts taken in, that I recently purchased at a sample sale. It was two sizes too large, but I thought I'd try my luck with the tailor. This was my first time visiting Susan and I was very pleased with the results! The shorts looked like they were tailor-made for my frame, and she seamlessly blended in the stitching, so you can't tell it was altered. She charged me a very reasonable price, and was very kind and accommodating. My dress was missing a button so she decided to add the button to my dress and charge me $5 for a button that I didn't ask for and was not the same button on my dress. Susan is a miracle worker! I wore a pantsuit a couple years ago for my wedding and she took her time to sew in pads for a bra as well as took in about an inch in the middle. I just took another dress to her for a wedding I have in a couple weeks. Brought it in Monday and it was ready by Thursday! Only one of the sides by the zipper fit very awkwardly and it literally looks exactly how it did when I dropped it off but the fit was perfect. My friend and I needed to get our bridesmaids dresses altered for the length and we turned to Yelp and found Susan Tailoring. We went to her together and agreed to her rates and turnaround time so we decided to trust her with our expensive dresses. She spent about 15-20 minutes on each of us to carefully pin the bottom of our dresses so that they'd be hemmed according to the height of the shoes we were going to wear for the wedding. Our dresses had multiple layers so it took much longer than expected, but she was patient with us the entire time and made sure that it was perfectly the length we wanted. Some of the pins had to be readjusted multiple times because of the light material, but I was glad that she was a perfectionist about it. I got two of my Jean jacket sleeves taken up since I have shorter arms. They charge $20 per jacket to take off the original cuff of the sleeve and shorten the arm length.
