I truly cannot say enough about my experience with Tutu and Ninos Tailoring. I honestly almost cried at my final fitting because I was so overwhelmed with gratitude and relief. Three weeks before my wedding, the tailor I had trusted completely backed out after keeping my dress for weeks. She told me my gown was too complicated, would take over 8 weeks to alter, and would cost more than $1,000 because of the intricate beading and construction. She said it would practically have to be reconstructed. I panicked. I spent an entire day driving around Orange County visiting several highly-rated alteration shops, and every single one told me some version of the same thing: it was too difficult, the beading would have to be compromised, the train might need to change, or it would cost an outrageous amount. By the time I walked into Ninos, I was emotionally exhausted and expecting another "no." The shop itself is very unassuming, tucked away in an older office building. I'll admit I was skeptical. After visiting large, well-known shops with multiple seamstresses, I didn't think this little tailor shop would be the one to save my wedding dress. I have never been happier to be wrong. From the moment I met Tutu and her husband, they made me feel welcome. They are one of the sweetest couples I've ever met. Tutu immediately noticed how stressed I was. She closed the blinds for privacy, turned the AC up because I was sweating from anxiety, and simply let me breathe. Then she confidently looked at my dress and said she could do it. Not only could she do it--she could do ALL of it. She took my waist in 4 inches, altered my bust so it fit perfectly, hemmed SEVEN layers of dress, added a bustle, resized my detachable sleeves, added buttons to hold them in place, and worked around intricate beading that every other shop acted like was impossible. Her price? $600. After being quoted over $1,000 and told it couldn't realistically be done, I honestly wanted to hug her. I'll admit, I was still nervous. Every time I repeated what the other shops had warned me about, Tutu would simply smile, wave her hand, and say, "It's okay. I got it." She never dismissed my fears--only the negativity. Her confidence was incredibly comforting. Then she somehow completed everything in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS. I dropped my dress off on a Friday. She wanted me back by Tuesday. I ended up going Thursday, less than a week later, and my dress already fit like an absolute glove. I only requested one tiny adjustment in the bust, and a few days later it was completely finished. When I picked it up, I cried. My bust had originally been several sizes too large, and I was convinced there was no way to make it look natural without reconstructing the dress. Tutu worked literal magic. There was no gaping, no awkward pulling, and no visible evidence of the alterations. It looked like the dress had been custom made for me. She also preserved the beautiful train that everyone else wanted to compromise. She even gave me FOUR different alteration options, carefully explained the pros and cons of each, and helped me choose what would look best. She genuinely cared about doing the job the right way--not the easiest way. On my wedding day I received so many compliments on how perfectly my dress fit. Before I left, she also took the time to show me exactly how to fasten the bustle, put on my sleeves correctly, and care for the dress so nothing would get damaged. That level of care meant so much. I almost didn't come here because I saw one negative bridal review. I obviously can't speak to someone else's experience, but mine could not have been more different. I brought in a $4,000 wedding gown that multiple professionals considered nearly impossible, and Tutu handled it with incredible skill, kindness, patience, and professionalism. Every time I visited, the shop was busy. I saw sheriff uniforms, men's clothing, everyday alterations, and multiple wedding dresses waiting to be worked on. It's obvious people trust her. I'm writing this review because, when I was in complete wedding panic, I desperately wished another bride had shared a story like mine. If you're reading this while stressed, overwhelmed, or wondering if your dress can be saved, please go see Tutu. When I dropped my dress off, I told my family, "This is either going to be the biggest diamond in the rough or I just paid to have my wedding dress destroyed." I'm so thankful to say it was absolutely the diamond in the rough. Thank you, Tutu. You didn't just alter my dress--you genuinely made my wedding day possible. Your kindness calmed me during one of the most stressful moments of wedding planning, and your talent exceeded every expectation I had. I will recommend Ninos to every bride, friend, and family member I know.
Love this tailoring place!! It's run by a sweet husband and wife! She tailored my mother in laws wedding dress so I'll be able to wear it for my wedding! The dress came out perfect! From the stitching to adding some beautiful sleeves! She was also able to do my linens for my tables! Price is very fair!
So we needed some alterations done and I had a hoodie that I really liked. Colorful but the zipper broke. I went to one location and was told they couldn't fix the zipper. I went to Nino Tailoring after looking them up and I showed her the hoodie. She was okay, I need to look for a colored zipper that works with the colors and I can do it. She fixed it and did the other alterations we asked for. I was so happy.
Please for the love of all that is holy, do NOT go to this tailor shop. We brought them a few items and this was our experience: -My wife's wedding dress needed to be hemmed and had a couple small holes in the mesh on the back that needed to be repaired along with some other adjustments. (This was a very new $2000 dress from MonAmie. This will be important later) -Her reception dress needed a few simple adjustments. -My pants needed basic hemming. -And lastly, I wanted an "action back" added to my denim jacket to allow for more range of motion in the arms. This is how we got everything back (pics included): -The hem job on the wedding dress was butchered and she hacked through the tulle at the bottom with scissors and left a super jagged edge. The bust was taken in too much to the point where it can't be repaired. The holes in the back were patched with mismatched mesh and looked even worse than before. She also messed up the bustle. -The reception dress was poorly adjusted. The clasp immediately fell off, and the stitching where the straps were reconnected is already failing. -My pants were hemmed fine. Congratulations, she can do a basic pant hem. -The denim jacket is a whole saga that I don't have the room to get into. All I'll say is it had several issues and Tutu was very difficult to communicate with. We paid them a total of $940 ($600 for the wedding dress, $65 for the reception dress, $15 for my pants, $90 to do my jacket and another $100 redo it. Plus a little extra as a tip because at this point we were still blissfully unaware of the impending mess) We took the dress to a much more professional tailoring shop to be evaluated and the tailors there were shocked at how bad the work was. We later found out that they were familiar with Nino's Tailoring and have cleaned up their messes in the past. They quoted us $375 for the repairs. We happily agreed because we could immediately tell we were in much safer hands. We came by the shop for the last time and told Tutu we were not happy with the work and we requested a partial refund of $375 to cover the cost of the repairs. She and her husband started yelling at us and behaved EXTREMELY unprofessionally. They brought ethnicity into it, kept yelling, and refused to listen to our points, so we just left. Once we left, they blew up my phone with calls, voicemails and texts. They said that I need to "behave better" and that it was "against the law for us to come into their business and threaten them". We did not threaten them. We requested a refund for the shoddy work and explained that if they refused, we would take them to small claims court. That is not an "illegal threat". That is literally using the legal system as intended. They kept trying to tell us to bring the dress back and that the fixes were "very small and not a big deal". I tried to explain that these were not small adjustments. The issues were due to shoddy work. If they claim they can fix it, then that means they knowingly did subpar work from the beginning and at that point, I don't trust you to do anymore work for me. To add insult to injury, Tutu then sent us a text saying "Then why you're angry this dress is old not new . All dresses I had is really brand new & so expensive". So she basically admitted to purposefully doing a shoddy job because she felt the dress wasn't new or expensive or "worth it" (to reiterate it was a brand new $2000 MonAmie dress) I understand dresses can get MUCH more expensive than that, but I expect a tailoring business to provide the same quality work whether it's a $20 item from amazon or a $20,000 custom made dress. Tutu made it clear that that wasn't how she did business. When we pointed out the hack job on the tulle at the bottom, her reply was "you won't see that part". People pay good money for fancy suit linings that no one will ever see. The entire piece needs to be done well, not just the parts that are seen. Needless to say, we will not be going back to this "business".
They treated me with the most respect and took care of the work super professionally! Would recommend for any tailoring situation. They are up for the challenge of nobody else will!
I found this business through Yelp and I can say they do amazing work! I took in 2 pairs of sweatpants to be hemmed. I demonstrated how long they were and they measured the perfect length to my choosing. When I received my sweatpants back it looked as if nothing has been done. That is how good the sewing was! Tried them on and they fit perfect. They are extremely friendly. Pricing is fair for quality service! Will be returning if I need more of their services.

So happy to find Nino Tailoring & Alterations! We needed to shorten the sleeves on my son's tuxedo jacket the day before prom. Brought the jacket in Friday at 4:30pm and Tahani got it done before 10 am the next morning. She is a sweet lady and very meticulous at her craft. Call them if you need any alterations done, they are a very nice husband and wife team! Prices are very reasonable too. Thank you for taking great care of us! read more
