Really cute spot I love the decor and the vibes very chill and laid back. We were greeted as we walked in and were able to pick anywhere to sit. Our waiter was amazing she was very attentive and gave us some recommendations on sushi and that was delicious perfect kick of spiciness. Our food came out pretty quick and man it was all so good very flavorful dipping sauces the amount of food was perfect the appetizers were awesome love the calamari crunch and spicy edamame was great. All in all we were definitely satisfied with the food and service I can see why this place was popular to come to many more families arrived as we sat to eat. We picked out the below Spicy Edamame Calamari Chicken & shrimp Steak& shrimp Steak shrimp & scallops Jalapeño Blaze sushi roll (so so good ) All plates came with sautéed veggies and choice of regular rice or $2 extra for fried rice which was perfectly cooked . We were also giving a small salad and miso soup omg perfect dressing on the salad and the soup was really good. This place definitely deserves a 5 star definitely would come back

This ramen shop adds a nice touch to this town. The staff was exceptional alongside the food! My…read morepartner and I seated ourselves and was met with friendly faces and a diverse menu. I am vegetarian, so having a whole section to myself is a blessing. What we ordered: inari 5/5 takoyaki 5/5 yakitori 4/5 mango matcha smoothie w/ honey boba 5/5 piña colada smoothie w/ honey boba 5/5 vegi black garlic oil 5/5 (tasted exactly like lemon pepper chicken) The ambience is cozy and parking is a little limited. I don't think for this small town it is much of an issue.

Started off strong but ultimately we are regretful for eating here…read more Parking was easy around 5pm. Managed to score the last spot in the lot, but there is plenty of street parking. Upon entering we were greeted and invited to sit anywhere. I went with my husband, though there wasn't a lot of two top seats, we made ourself comfortable in the corner. Staff was friendly, though i'm not sure why even have 3 wait staff on when patrons put in the order themselves on paper. waitress just grabs and goes. I enjoy having conversation and feeling taken care of at a restaurant, this provides a disconnect and makes things off putting. Menu does not have prices. This is concerning as a patron and dissolves the little trust built. Taro Ube Boba was amazing, although the consistency of the boba was starting to get gummy. it was towards the end of the day, and happens at most restaurants. 5/5 We ordered the octopus balls and were accidentally given the gyoza - it was pleasant. Although seemed to be a bit watery from the boiling process. However nothing to write home about. This item was not on the final bill. 3/5 octopus balls had nice flavor. those unfamiliar may complain about the strong fish but that is how the dish is prepared. I wish it was prepared with a firmer cook, as it basically disintegrates the moment it enters your mouth. I believe the correct cook should allow you to take a single bite without it collapsing. 3/5 pork belly ramen: a single piece of overcooked and grey pork belly. Dry as the desert. all items seemed to be purchased from savemart next door. the single redeeming item in the entire bowl was the marinated shiitake mushrooms. 2/5 the most unfortunate part of our meal was the poke bowl. incredibly regrettable with zero redeeming qualities. i specifically beg everyone not to order the shrimp. This must have been a 91 count. Tasted like a wet freezer. Gave my husband and I the heebie jeebies. -10/5 i'd be embarrassed to serve this at my restaurant. I am a huge asian food enthusiast and that's why I beg everyone to avoid this place. There's a sign on the wall saying it's been rated top 100 Ramen spots in california. that is either some crazy joke or they are number 100.

Overall we had a great experience at Doke Sushi largely because the food was sooo good. We are…read morevegetarians and have limited options in Murphys but I noticed some veggie sushi rolls listed on the menu and some curries/noodle dishes so decided to try it. Some things to note, highly encourage reservation ahead of time. We got there an hour before closing on a Sunday and even though there was a table open they almost didn't seat us. It is small on the inside with limited tables so I would not say it's great for groups. They stop serving about 30 minutes before the posted closing time and don't make exceptions. We ended up ordering a Jenni role which had tofu/cream cheese/cucumber inside and avocado/panko/doke sauce outside and it was seriously amazing. Although there were only two veggie roll options on the menu I could easily eat two of this roll alone. Things only got better with the curry. I assumed the curry was going to be Japanese style, but they are actually more thai style yellow and panang curry options. Unfortunately the Udon and Ramen dishes are not vegetarian as they are made with fish broth. But the yellow curry was perhaps the best yellow curry we've ever had (and we are a bit of curry snobs). The sauce was lighter than a traditional thai yellow curry and it had a delicious sweet finish. The veggies were tasty and fresh. When we come back to Murphys I will certainly be going for this curry again. I do wish they had a few more vegetarian options, but very glad the ones they do are outstanding.

Always a little skeptical about sushi in a landlocked town but Doke is actually very solid!…read more Quick review since I'm on vacation but: Chef special: really good! Great assortment of fish and the sauce splatter is gorgeous. Poseidon roll: our favorite! This roll was really tasty and all the elements worked well together. Negihama - generous cuts but maybe it's out of season as it was a little lacking. Service was attentive and prompt and the food came out quickly. The food was surprisingly good for being the only sushi place in town so overall I'm happy it exists. I'll definitely try to stop by again!!

THIS WAS AN AMAZING AND FUN DINNER…read more Food and service were great! It's a good spot for a casual dinner date or for your sushi cravings. Our server was great, very attentive and pleasant. I was absolutely caught off guard when they brought out our salmon lover set on a giant light up tray, I could not stop laughing! My husband thought it was so fun and a nice surprise. Definitely added to our list of places to come back :)

When we arrived, we dropped off a cake and candle at the front counter and told them it was a surprise birthday cake and asked if they would be able to set up and bring it out once we finish our dinner. They said "yes". We do this all the time with other restaurants and have never had any issues. Normally, cake is brought out and candle that we provide is lit. Some restaurants even go as far as singing happy birthday. We finished our food and sat there for a while waiting for the server, Dolly, who was nowhere to be found. So we started stacking our plates to the side to get ready for the cake. When we finally saw her, we whispered to her that we were ready for the surprise cake. She went back into the kitchen and came out with the cake still in the box and candles still in the package and says out loud "here's your birthday cake" in front of the whole party. We asked her if they had a lighter and lit the candles ourselves. We sang Happy Birthday and enjoyed our cake next to our dirty dishes from our dinner that still have not been collected. A previous time eating here, my friend ordered takeout for her husband after we dined in. My friend lives in a different city. By the time she got home, she realized that 1 of 2 of what she ordered was missing. She called and told her she wasn't going to drive back but they were kind enough to comp her next meal. They said they can come back when she's back in town again to pick up a voucher. When she went to pick up the voucher, 2 other people were there picking up vouchers for missing orders too. Apparently, it's a common thing that happens. The food itself is decent and price is reasonable for what you're getting. However, the service is horrible from my handful of experiences here.

An amazing home-y spot for Asian comfort food in Manteca :)…read more For appetizers, we got the bang bang shrimp and spicy wontons and both were delicious. I liked how crispy and sweet yet tangy the bang bang shrimp was. This was probably my favorite item we tried! The chili wontons weren't too spicy and they were really generous with the amount of shrimp inside. Shrimp & wonton noodle soup was def a comfort meal growing up, so I'm happy they had that here! Portion size was very generous and broth was tasty. Noodles were cooked well too, and I liked the filling of the wonton. We also got the curry ramen with katsu chicken. The chicken was sooo crispy, it was one of my favorite items. The bacon kimchi flavor had a nice spicy kick to it. The beef chili oil noodles was tasty and I liked the small beef bits. The bang bang chicken had the same sauce as the bang bang shrimp, but I liked how the entree came with rice too. The philly cheesesteak eggrolls were super crispy, and if you're a cheese lover, you need to try this! Overall, a really solid spot for Asian fusion food, and the servers were all extremely nice and patient as well. Service was really quick!
