Cute little spot with metered parking outside and other local shops nearby. The food was pretty good. They have some sushi rolls I have never heard of and options to get huge boards of several rolls to share, which may be more economical if there are a few in your party. On the whole the sushi tastes fresh and was excellent. The chicken katsu donburi was delicious and the seafood yakisoba was just ok. But truth be told, I have never had it anywhere that blew me away, so I am retiring ordering this dish, effective immediately. :). read more

Ordered the lunch bento box, one teriyaki and one sushi lunch special. Both come with miso soup, salad and spring rolls.. Which is nice to get all three! I really appreciate when a sushi place gives you less rice than the fish on the actual sushi pieces so you can taste more fish. The spicy salmon Maki roll is quite good. Out of the many many sushi places.. It's quite good, I put it on the top 10 for spicy salmon. I recommend upgrading your California roll to something else. Because, nobody cares about the California roll. Friendly and speedy service. Would go again, pretty darn good and that's including all the soosh spots in the GTA. read more

Came to Blue Mountain for a girls trip and was craving sushi so we ended up at Sushi Hon since it looked the most fresh! I got an order of the Salmon Aburi Oshi Sushi and Seared Salmon roll and honestly I would say it's a lot better than sushi places in Mississauga! We got the 33 piece sushi/sashimi boat. A little mix up happened where we got a sashimi boat when we asked for both but they were happy to change the mistake! We ended up ordering another Seared Salmon roll and another roll with Unagi in it, I don't remember the name and we were full after! Service was a little slow but they were super friendly to us Overall, had sushi at Blue before and was super disappointed but I'm very happy to come across Sushi Hon and its freshness! Sushi Hon in Collingwood is definitely my go to Japanese restaurant in town. I usually get one of their lunch bento boxes at least once a week. I think their lunch bentos have great value and the food is fresh and tasty! read more

Newer place that opened recently and was not disappointed. Had the sashimi bento box lunch special which had 9 pcs of good quality sashimi, with a crunch roll. Has your typical miso soup and green salad with it, as well as a side which was generic spring rolls. For 13.95 this was a steal and would recommend to anyone in the area. Being a newer place hopefully the quality stays the same. Only gripe being that the service was kind of slow, but no big deal. read more

Used to love this place but service and quality has gone downhill. Waited 45 minutes for rolls at 5pm on a Monday. When we complained to the manager he argued we only waited 10 minutes (we had order a second round of appetizers when the rolls didn't come and somehow he was confusing that order with our original order). I have eaten at Sushi Hon twice now and both times have been amazing. The sushi was incredibly fresh tasting and they have some very unique rolls (the tuna cilantro roll will blow you away) I eat a lot of sushi in Toronto and am always amazed when I come to Collingwood and have much better experience in a small town sushi restaurant. This is the third time I have eaten at Sushi Hon- and the sushi has been very good each time- BUT the service is terrible! Had to ask waiter to clean table, then ask for napkins and chop sticks after the food was brought to table and he just left...had to ask for water...seemed like he had never worked in a restaurant before, although he was the same waiter for the three visits. Numerous patrons were complaining about the service while we were there- seems like the service just gets worse each time I visit....think it is time to move on to another sushi place. read more
