I have driven by and the place always looks packed. Service was fine but the food was really not good. Fake crab and fishy fish...no bueno.

One trick pony, with a really good trick! So, they have this dip that taste like the inside of Crab Rangoon (as best I can tell it's artificial crab and cream cheese). And the reason I say that they are is a one trick pony is because when you are sat you are given would I can only describe as a deconstructed Crab Rangoon (fried wonton chips and some of the dip), I ordered the combo Ayer bowl, which is a fried rice style dish with chicken and beef topped with the crab dip, and we also ordered a sushi roll that was topped with ...(drum roll please)... the crab dip. So if you like the dip you'll love it hear, if not you may want to take a close look at the menu to try to avoid it, or even consider asking for your meal without it. Cash only. My only regret was didn't have enough time to come back and experience the future of Mexican-Vietnamese-Fusion-Sushi. It's a bit hard to find, but taxi is so cheap and easier than the bus to get here. Imagine this: Miso Soup with Mexican flares (guacamole, onion, shrimp, noodle); Fresh Bowl of noodle with cucumber, and shredded carrots, spicy-habanero-soy-sauce. The deep fried kebabs has options of octopus, shrimp, cheese. Did I said cheese? Yes!!! It was finally glazed with teriyaki sauce. My amazing server Brenda was patience enough with me using Google's Translate app to read the menu. I ate like a king and it only cost me $350 peso, which is less than $20. Bring Cash! Third time here. Excited to get our food! Other times we were very pleased! Sushi Mexican style. Puerto Vallarta is a fresh seafood city. When you are here eat all you can! Cash only establishment. Limited beer full bar. Almost always crowded with locals, a very good sign! read more

I usually don't give this kind of reviews, but this time I thought it would be nice to share my experience in this restaurant. First of all CASH ONLY. Second, the service is super slow, they take a long time getting and bringing your order. I was with a friend and at some point, they brought my food with a fork and I told her "I'm so scared to ask for chopsticks because they might forget or bring them in an hour" And finally, the food! I was really excited to try the rice balls this time (the first time I went there I tried sushi rolls and they were not good) but it was disappointing, it wasit had hard pieces of shrimp shell making it hard to eat and there was no "pure" soy sauce on the table. The only soy sauce we had was mixed with other stuff and it had a really weird taste. read more

Went to this place with a low bar set for sushi options and taste quality but were blown away by both the service and the amazing tasting delicious food!! From the shrimp skewer as appetizers to the sushi rolls to the Che-bolonas (stuffed fried rice balls). Everything was way better then anticipated. Definitely will be back again and recommend 10/10 read more

This place makes the worst sushi I've ever tried. My unemployed brother who lost a finger could make better sushi. They can't even get a spicy tuna right AND they water down the soy sauce so much it just tastes like watered down lime juice. The edamame is great though. Also what kind of name is in house sushi, like sushi made in house? I sure hope so! read more

The BEST!! Omg- the most amazing selection of fresh sushi! Simply tell the waiter what you like and he will give you awesome choices. We are California foodies and drove accross town looking at a couple places by taxi- we chose this and were so thankful! Absolutely the best spicy tuna ever. If you havent explored the food court please do. If you love sushi which i do you will love Sushi in House. Fyi they dont open until 2pm. read more

It is Mexican food with sushi name. The sashimi is just raw fish with spicy Mexican chili soy sauce, no wasabi and cut is totally different. The rice ball is adult fist size fully fried with stuffed and all rolls are similar with almost the same ingredients with different Mexican sauce, if you are looking for real Japanese food, don't come but you are looking for exotic Mexican food, it is good to try once. read more

I had been in vallarta for a week now and i asked my aunt if a place other than seafood was available pasta or what not. dont get me wrong i love seafood and will forever love it but you cant always eat it well yes you can. she told me about this place one time she got lost looking for her doctor. The area is really quiet but its really a good spot on the corner the when we walked in you the decor immediately stands out chalk sings everywhere and funny quotes we sat by the fence near the huge screen that had a lounge music play list going on very mellow. the place is really clean, organized and waiter was really friendly he came with the menus i and liked the fact that the sushi rolls had a list of items in the roll some places i had been just name them assuming everyone is a sushi connoisseur, im not i just eat. i got a shirmp avacado and other thing sushi =) and a hot soup forgive me amnesia but names i dont remember all i can say get the large size you will thank me later. we also got drinks on jars i got a hard lemonade with club soda what was awesome and my friend got a sangria. bill was alright for sushi and will definitely come back try to be there at 9 or earlier they close at 10 and we almost didnt make it. for a relaxed nice dinner this is the place. read more

This place is amazing!! My wife and I were looking for a break and found this little place. The ambiance and the service are by far the best we have experienced in Puerto Vallarta so far. It is reasonably priced (average 100 pesos per roll) and have a nice bar too. It's quite a hidden gem. The best part is that the food has a Mexican twist and have adapted Sushi Maki rolls for the Mexican customer. I know it's not part of the Mexican experience most people look for but it's a must visit in PV. read more
