This sushi shop opened up in September 2020- it is located in a strip mall close to Jean Coutu and other small shops (Valentine, Amir, Chico pet store).
The location is clean and inviting, they are open from 11 to 8pm on most days- when I arrived around noon on a Saturday it was deserted. First time trying this place, we opted for a deluxe 52 piece sushi platter. Took about 30 mins to prepare, so we shopped around and came back.
The sushis were presented in a beautiful cardboard gift box, similar to the the kind of box you'd get for a fancy electronic, like a cell phone. The employee made sure to show me what was inside first, I was wowed by the presentation and the choices.
Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I personally loved the fried rolls! Sushi Shop has a range of tartare sushi options too, and we even sampled some that contained no rice and a lettuce wrap. These seem ideal for the calorie-conscious, and are pretty unique compared to other chains.
Grade A for quality, freshness and originality. Just wish there were a bit more affordable. read more
