The prices are GREAT. If this were a happy hour place (aka they served liquor) I would recommend this place again and again. If you're looking for a quick, affordable food option, come here. Set your standards appropriately and you'll have a great time.

The peach tea was really good it tasted fresh and nothing overly sweet,i got the gyoza platter and it was genuinely freshly and well prepared. The gyoza was super juicy with crispy edges, the fried rice was pretty flavorful and good coming from someone who doesnt like rice it was all gone after i devoured it,& lastly the sushi was pretty good and done right in front of you. Id totally get in and get the Sasu roll next.

Outstanding! Food was delicious! We ordered the Gyozas, spring rolls, fried rice, millennium and torched salmon roll. We would skip on the spring rolls, but everything else better than expected. What made everything even better is the freshness in the ingredients and how you could literally tell they just prepared all the dishes made to order. The inside is quiet and clean with nice service. When in the area definitely plan to return!

Food and service was great!!! Definitely a place to come back. Everything was fresh, from the food to peach tea and lemonade.

Happened to find this place outside IAH airport. Stopped by to order takeout before I took flight back to PHL. I had the pleasure of watching the lady chef preparing the rolls in details. It is like watching a cooking show. The sushi tasted fresh and delicious. The only minor issue was the beans inside edamame pods were kind of small. Will definitely stop by here again when I am in town.

Great place to grab some sushi! The owner and his family are wonderful people. Give them a try!

Not a lot of options to eat at 10pm (we were stranded from a missed flight) so I was really excited this place was still open. Tried various rolls- all delicious and better than expected for a no frills hole in the wall type place.

I'm crazy happy to have Sushi in our community and good Sushi at that! No la piensen dos veces. El sushi está delicioso y los precios son razonables. ¡Gracias Sushi Tex-Mex!

I love places that beat your expectation. This place is not what it seems. I looked at the reviews and saw that they were all very good and I had some time to kill before my flight left. The sushi is amazing along with there soy sauce is to die for it has peppers, cilantro, onion, all mixed up that you dip your sushi. Family run place that knows customer service and how to make great sushi.

Awesome sushi that is so fresh and great portions!!!! Not only does the food set this place apart l, but also the service. Alita is the sweetest and you can tell they take pride in the food and service. Would definitely recommend!

The service was excellent and very attentive. We ordered from the lunch special, and I was pleasantly surprised that the portions were still dinner-sized. I mean, it's a restaurant, I guess I'll eat. Like, what else would I do? While the service was weird and awkward, my main complaint is that I ordered the snow crab based on the ingredients listed on the menu. It reads verbatim "shrimp tempura, crab, topped with avocado & real Alaskan snow crab meat." Cool. Perfect. That is exactly what I want. The only problem is that is came covered in some disgusting mayo based sauce. And of course I got it to go and didn't realize it until I got back to my hotel. If it comes with a mayo sauce, just let me know. That way I can say "no mayo." So yeah, I essentially bought a role I couldn't eat. The ambiance is deadly quiet and uncomfortable. I was so happy to get out of there. This was a legitimately terrible experience. I feel like they live in large part to single serving customers from the hotel next door (which I am currently staying at). I will not return and will consider eating broken glass as an alternative to dinning here again.

GENERALIZED REVIEW:…read more Came here with a friend from theatre after a full run--he had this place recommended to him by another theatre friend, so we're just passing on the word. The plaza was a bit confusing to navigate, and I'm pretty sure if the place weren't full of Asian parents and their kids, it would've felt like the shadiest place ever because you have to enter from the back. Otherwise, the plaza had a lot of great-looking stores overall. My first go-to: I've loved drinking Kirin Light ever since I discovered it in Chicago. The flavor is literally so light, with a slight acidity that brightens up my meal. The sake here was frankly also delicious. I didn't order it, but my friend did, and they had it warmed. The flavor was soothing and subtle, almost like tea. It was exceptionally easy to drink, and the ocean-themed ceramicware was a beautiful touch. We ordered two rolls: the Shaggy Dog and the Truffalufagus (a fun tongue-twister). I personally chose the Truffalufagus (which is not fun to spell) because it seemed like the most unique dish on the menu, and I enjoyed it very much. What I liked most about it was that it was subtle yet impactful. I also loved the textures--from the internal crunch paired with the fresh jalapeño to the softness of the fish. I'm glad I gave this roll a shot, and I would be excited to try it again anytime. The Shaggy Dog was great, but it appealed less to my flavor profile. It was a little too rich and creamy for me. I recommended this place to my BF as a potential future date spot--I personally think he would like it... if he weren't the type to enjoy AYCE sushi so much. If they had more unique rolls, I would definitely come back just for those. I was tempted to order the Surf and Turf for this round, but I didn't want to seem like a glutton, hahaha.

It was flavorful with a balanced spice level that builds as you eat, but it is not overwhelming. I also appreciated that they offer extra spice on the side if you want to turn up the heat, which I did not need, but it is nice to have the option. The seasoned egg was definitely a highlight. It was perfectly cooked with that soft, jammy center and well marinated flavor. It is always a good sign when the egg is done right. The only thing I would tweak next time is the protein choice. The chicken itself was a little on the bland side compared to how bold the broth was. It was not bad, just did not stand out. I would probably try the chashu next time for a richer bite. Is it the best ramen I have ever had? No. Is it good? Absolutely. It is a dependable spot with quality ingredients and solid flavor, and I would definitely come back again. Perfect for when you are craving a comforting bowl in The Heights.

I started with the fried Thai chicken, and it was crispy, flavorful, and the perfect appetizer. For my cocktail, I ordered their signature blue Mai Tai, which was not only beautiful to look at but also refreshing and delicious. The highlight of the evening was the whole red snapper . Wow! The presentation alone was worthy of five stars, but the flavor took it to another level. The fish was perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and honestly one of the best seafood dishes I've had. The bathroom was undergoing repairs while we dined here during lunch and it was laughably loud at points. The staff was also short handed as there was a single server doing all of the roles for front of house operations. She preformed her duties admirably inspite the lack of help honestly. The experience itself was underwhelming all other perspectives, as it just felt like there wasn't much interest from the owner/operators in mainting a certain level of care during week days. The food pleasant at times. The spicy fried drumsticks were the best flavored and textured thing we ate on our visit. The rolls and Crudo were passable, the Spicy akami being the better of the two we tried. My pad kre pao looked visually amazing, but I would've loved to have a more complex and deeper Thai funky flavor, more dark soy sauce and fish sauce is what this dish lacked. Parking is free for the first 2 hrs outside and there's a bar inside with cocktails for those that plan to stick around for a while here.

This is a bit of a dated review, but we came here for a Valentine's dinner as a special occasion. We got seats at the bar counter behind the fire (which to me was the best seat in the house) so we could be close to the action. One thing you'll notice is that the place is quite loud, I think which owes to the low ceilings (so don't expect like a quiet and romantic vibe). The meal started out great with the bread and butter - bread was sourced from Magnol, which was a huge green flag to start. The oysters were extremely fresh and absolutely delicious. We also had a dish with tuna over crispy rice which was my fiancee's favorite of the night. My personal favorite was the salad (I know that is crazy to say at a restaurant that specializes in live fire cooking) - but the way they zested all different types of citrus/lemons, peppers, chiles, and the way the herbs they put into it, created what was one of the most memorable salads I have ever had. All in all the food was excellent. Service was great (the night we were there, Max Lappe was there sending out food to customers himself). I do kind of wish the atmosphere was a little more quiet. With that said, expect to spend around $200pp (we did share a bottle of wine though).
