Newer ramen restaurant just landed in Atascocita!! I've been wanting to try them but only knew about the one in Spring. I really like their aesthetic and layout. They also have a patio right by this green space which is going to be perfect for the summer!! I came in for a late dinner, ordered the sesame balls, grilled edamame (delishhhh), & their avocado salad which was a great portion for an appetizer. There was no wait and the staff were all very pleasant. I'll definitely be frequenting the place more. They are also launching sushi soon! For now, check out their ramen and hibachi menu. Two foodies from Houston, We were looking for some lunch near home and found Iza Robata, Japanese Restaurant in the Groves subdivision. They opened this year in January. First timers to Iza Robata. Inside is well appointed, black ceiling with light colored tables and Japanese style decor. Our waiter was friendly and we felt welcome and at home. He, Koi, made suggestions various food suggestions. We ordered a variety: Baby Octopus, Takoyaki (squid balls), and Bao (three types, Pork Belly, Duck, and Softshell crab). Our favorite was the Softshell crab which was fresh and flavorful. The Baby Octopus was my next favorite. I would have loved it spicy. We will be back to try the Ramen. Excellent food, great service, and super welcoming! We had an amazing meal at Iza Robata! The place was very clean, the ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the staff was excellent--friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Everything we ordered was delicious: the tonkotsu ramen was rich and flavorful, the Angus gyudon was perfectly seasoned, the sushi was fresh, and the hibachi chicken was cooked just right. The pork katsu curry was crispy, comforting, and full of flavor. On top of that, they surprised us with a free karaage appetizer, which was such a nice touch and tasted amazing! When visiting Humble, I have enjoyed both dine-in as well as delivery from this restaurant. It's quite a different experience with superb service, which includes a call-button. The menu items are varied and generous portions. My favorite so far are the Asian-style croquettes and crispy sweet potato fries--I could eat a dozen of the croquettes as my entire meal! To boost, they are located in a square where you can dine outdoors if you'd like, and if you have little ones, they can run around safely in the green turf afterward. My family and I visited Iza Robata for dinner on a weeknight. The restaurant was not overly busy but had several guests there. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting and not too noisy. The hostess was very kind and seated us right away. Our waiter came over shortly after. I ordered the hibachi chicken. It was just ok... the chicken was a bit dried out and just past room temperature... as it was not cold but was not hot as I expected. This is a dish that I would not order again here. I will be back to try something else as is a really nice restaurant in my neighborhood and the service was really good. read more

Walked in and were seated immediately. The server Riley was so attentive and friendly. The ambiance was nice and quiet. Now on to the food.. it was AMAZING. Everything came out hot and fresh. We had shrimp tempura, pan fried gyoza and spicy edamame for appetizers. For the entree I had mixed hibachi grill with steak and shrimp, egg fried rice and vegetables. It is definitely worth trying. This place just opened a few days ago so it's always exciting to try something new. They didn't have their liquor license yet so currently no alcohol. All the food we tried tasted good and came out hot and fresh. I was super excited to try the steam buns but unfortunately they didn't have any. The steak skewer was delicious. I could easily eat 4 or 5 of those. Didn't try the ramen but they look good. Service was a little bit slow but again they just opened few days ago so I can't really blame them for that. Cozy, clean and very nice ambiance. Great servers, awesome food and great value for the money. We always order the avocado salad and garlic edamame, both delicious! I had the shrimp teriyaki which was perfectly cooked and jumbo size shrimp, not the canned version. My husband ordered the teriyaki sirloin and it was medium perfectly cooked and great taste. Portions are great. Service excellent. Tables are cleaned as soon as people leave, which adds to the pleasant experience. I don't like to eat looking at dirty tables around me. Definitely recommend! Stopped in for a look, and grab a dish for dinner. place is really nice and cosy. Perfect for date nights, or family outings. Menu has a lot of variety, my 1st item, was Soft-shell crab Bao...So it's very very tasty, crunch if the crab and the tangy mayo and sweet eel sauce, complimented with fresh greens, red onions, and the fresh cucumber, perfection. So excited to have this new restaurant right down the street from our house. Very amazing ambiance when entering, staff was very welcoming and helpful. We did order to go and everything was awesome. We had orders for six different individuals and everything was right on point. The only thing I'd say is like to see make sure that you have proper protein in your dishes ( we had a shrimp fried rice and literally it was three shrimp in the entire plate) flavor was good though. Also the Bao Buns were amazing but for the price point I feel you could add just a tad bit more protein and flavor or my pork buns were spot on . Will definitely be going back to support. read more

The food was bomb! The broth was tasty and had a great flavor, creamy texture. The bao had the perfect amount of sauce on the meat and the meat was cooked well. The Thai tea only comes in this cup, wish it was a tad bigger but that's fine. The place is super cute inside! Love the little house designs. The service was good. The only thing they need work on and I guess it's because they're new is the waiting service. We walked in and there were two groups ahead of us, instead of writing our name down or getting our number, they just had us stand awkwardly at the entrance to wait for the other groups to move first. This place is amazing. They have a great atmosphere and great food. I've been there twice and your wait time depends on what you get because their food is made to order. I've gotten the ramen each time and my mom has tried the skewers and poke. Everything was amazing. The stand out to me is the takoyaki, I love them and very few places do them right but Iza Robata gets it right. From the moment you walk in and are warmly greeted, you are in for a treat! We ordered the sesame balls, seaweed salad, furikake french fries, edamame, and the creamy tonkotsu ramen. Everything was super delicious! The broth in the ramen was so good I could have just that on its own and been more than satisfied. The steak was super tender and flavorful! We got the chicken boa buns and let me tell you they are so tasty, hot and delicious, i wanted to order more but i was so full!! We visited Iza Robata shortly after they opened in Humble a little over a week ago. I actually wrote this review while we were still waiting for our food but wasn't able to post it until now, as the restaurant wasn't yet showing up on Yelp. As nearby residents, we were excited about the new business plaza--this area truly needs more nice restaurants and stores--so we made it a point to visit and support their grand opening. Because we really want this restaurant to succeed, I'm sharing our honest first impressions so the owners and management can address the issues early and give this location the best chance of thriving. Service & Organization After being seated, the waiter disappeared, so we ended up grabbing menus from a nearby table ourselves. After waiting a while, we had to ask for someone to take our order, then had to ask again for utensils, and then waited quite a long time for our food to arrive. When the food finally came out, it arrived in a completely random order. Instead of appetizers being served first, portions of our entrées came out before anything else. For example, the shrimp fried rice arrived long before the meat platter. We had ordered multiple appetizers and entrées, but everything came out scattered, without coordination. The last dish to arrive--an appetizer--was cold by the time we got it. We were also given wooden chopsticks that were still damp. Damp wooden utensils can be a food safety concern due to their porous nature, which can trap moisture and encourage bacterial growth. Because of this, we chose not to use them. Food Quality Despite the service issues, the food itself was surprisingly good. Some standout dishes were: * Shrimp Dumplings - amazing * Shrimp Fried Rice - very good * Hibachi Combo - flavorful and well-cooked * Lamb Chops - great There were a couple dishes that could improve: * Chicken wings appeared rushed in presentation and arrived cold * Our daughter's ramen was also served cold Even with the hiccups, the flavor of most of the dishes helped make up for the rougher parts of the experience. The waitress who eventually took over for the original server did her best, and we appreciated her effort. Final Thoughts When opening a new restaurant, being fully staffed and prepared for the initial rush is crucial--first impressions matter. The issues we experienced seemed like growing pains, but they are fixable. Would we return? Yes--but likely after a month or so to give them time to work out the kinks. We love our neighborhood and genuinely hope Iza Robata succeeds. Hopefully this review helps highlight areas for improvement so the restaurant can become a strong addition to our community. read more

Newly opened in Humble and I'm glad! Loved the decor and service was exceptional. Our server was very attentive and made sure our food came out quickly. I recently visited the Resturant and ordered the spicy Thai ramen, I was not happy with the flavor and temperature of my ramen. The manager Hyson, was called to my table and started to ask what the question was, I told him I did not like the flavor and wanted to switch the dish out. He asked what I did not like about the ramen and I repeated the flavor. Hyson then proceeded to say "you must not have eaten ramen".
