I saw on TikTok this place has all you can eat sushi and it looked so good my daughters and I came by for lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed everything the all you can eat is $29 & it consisted of soup salad appetizers and any sushi roll which is a phenomenal deal however they will charge a $1 for any unreasonable leftovers you cannot beat that it's only on tues - Thurs 11-3(I think) parking is plentiful and the service was spectacular our server was amazing and so extremely sweet she explained everything thoroughly she was fantastic great ambiance perfect for dates our food was fresh and the presentation was amazing everything we had and what we saw others served looked so good I highly recommend them I have no complaints read more

I came here on a late Sunday afternoon to satisfy my sushi craving. The hostess greeted me and I was immediately seated in my fav booth. My server, Sharon took my drink order and then I ran to the restroom. Just added that behind the scenes moment for fun. Hahah The $5 house cab is decent and went nicely with my meal. Their vegetable tempura is tasty! it's a mixture of mushrooms, yams, onion ring, broccoli. It's perfectly and lightly fried.. so good! It always seems like I get the Roll Tide Roll since it has that spicy ness I often look for whenever I crave sushi. This is a specialty roll that's 8 pieces. Been craving sushi & hibachi, so I decided to give this spot a go because it's close to my apt. Got the Philadelphia Roll & Lion King Roll to start off. Then I got the Hibachi Dinner with Steak. The Philadelphia Roll is pretty basic but was very good! The Lion King Roll was good but very busy. I actually ended up preferring the Philadelphia Roll. The Hibachi Dinner with Steak was alright. Although the menu says steak, I don't think it's actually steak. It's not the worst but wasn't the best i've had either. And this place doesn't give you both soup and salad, but you choose one. I got soup and requested for miso. It was very good. However between sushi or hibachi, I would say this place is much better go to for the sushi. Overall it was good. However I had initially hit up this spot over my fave hibachi spot in hopes that it would be slightly cheaper plus being closer. After all said and done, I don't feel it was any cheaper. I wouldn't say that I'd never eat here again but I will more than likely hit up my fave hibachi spot if I had to choose again. read more

Our gluttony got the best of us and we got the 3-roll lunch special; my friend got 2 fried rolls (spicy friend salmon, fried crab) and 1 spicy tuna roll and I got 1 fried roll, 1 eel and 1 normal spicy salmon roll. The lunch special also came with salad or soup, and we both ordered miso soup. Our food came out quickly and it tasted pretty good. The fried rolls are very heavy and they're very heavy-headed with their mayo, so it felt very rich (instead of fresh/light). Overall, the lunch special is a good value, but quality is so-so. However, our sushi tonight was definitely a trip. There were bugs on our sushi. But we only noticed it after we had eaten over 1/2 the food. This location is a bit of a drive for me, but whenever I'm looking for reasonable priced sushi, I make the drive to get it! I'll say that Sushi Village has the best prices out of a lot of sushi places I've been to in Birmingham. The lunch price for 3 rolls is less than $10!!! That also comes with either miso soup or a salad. One cool thing they do here is they deep fry some of their sushi rolls. So if you're feeling particularly greasy, I'd recommend trying their crispy spicy salmon/tuna rolls! They taste great with the yum yum sauce they add to the rolls. The restaurant itself is always clean whenever I stop by for lunch. The staff is always kind and quick. I never had to ask for refills for water because our waitress just knew! The sushi also comes out fairly quick. For our table of 3, the sushi was out in less than 10 minutes! That's faster than many places I've been too. This party platter had 76 pieces in total and would feed 4 comfortably. For the price is was very good. The spicy salmon roll was not very spicy but did have a little bit comparatively to the rest. The Philadelphia roll was a nice surprise with the salmon having a little smokiness to it. The rest of the rolls in the platter were about what you would expect of sushi. I can't handle strong flavors and never use ginger in my cooking or for cleansing my palate when I eat sushi, but this dressing has just the right amount even for me! But, beware the dinner menu....every experience I've had from their dinner menu has left me feeling a little ill. I guess I can't seem to handle more authentic ingredients or that much raw fish. The menu doesn't specify which rolls are raw and which ones are cooked, and I would have really appreciated knowing what I was ordering. I saw kids there eating simple dishes like chicken fried rice, which might actually have to be what I do if I come back for dinner. However, sushi village has an extra advantage of being the closest movie theater to downtown Birmingham/Homewood so it makes for a great dinner/movie night! They offer chopsticks for an authentic experience, and also forks if you're just too hungry to care! Awesome find just outside of downtown. My niece is starting at UAB, and it only took us like 7-8 minutes to get to Sushi Village from the hospital. SV is clean and the prices are just right. They have sushi and sushi apps, regular apps like cheese rolls, and hibachi dinners (fried rice, noodles, orregular hibachi). They also serve a few desserts. Apparently, no matter what you order, you get a free salad or soup, and the dressing is homemade. It was your typical ginger dressing, but it wasn't watery, and it had a balanced flavor. We only tried two of the cheaper sushi rolls--the spicy tuna and the lion roll--and both were tasty. I had the beef (New York strip) and chicken hibachi, and it was a HUGE serving of meat and veggies with a big scoop of fried rice. The steak and chicken were both cooked perfectly. There was a nice surprise in the veggies--Brussels sprouts! KT got the shrimp hibachi, and the shrimp tasted fresh and weren't overcooked (which doesn't happen often!). I called in an order at Sushi Village, I ordered the Clear Soup Togo, a spicy crabmeat roll and an order of fried rice. The employees were incredibly friendly, it was not very busy but the restaurant was very clean. The food was great, the soup was $4 and it was literally a quarter of a gallon of soup.
