I was visiting the Jackson area and decided to go have lunch with my sister-in-law, and after a long search for Sushi Restaurants that are actually open on Mondays, we finally found this location. We were unaware of the fact that they had an all you can eat option, but once we walked in, and realized that was the format, we decided to order off of that menu. As all you can eat experiences, go I would probably rate this as average. I ordered two hand rolls which were sloppily made, but the sushi rolls we ordered had more finesse in their construction and rice to protein ratio. Another thing to note was the plates we were served were clearly older dining wear with several chips, and even one really sharp, jagged edge on one of our plates. Not something I normally notice, but given the all, you can eat nature of this restaurant We obviously saw quite a few plates during our time there. Service was also a bit lacking with not that many people in the restaurant we had to wave down our server a couple of times to either get water refills, and to finally get the check. I would definitely say this is a budget focused, all, you can eat restaurant that will likely work for someone not needing the full sushi experience. But for those of us who are sushi lovers, this one might not be for you. read more

It was a bit confusing at first as I'd never been here, they have two menus that you can order from: their "lunch" menu and their "dinner" menu BOTH at night. So I appreciate that flexibility but that wasn't really explained as I had overheard some people ordering. I do like that it ordering and then it is created (gives sense of freshness rather than sitting out on a buffet line) -- and the service was incredibly fast. Would recommend but be sure you look at the menu to make sure it has the items you want if you go for the AYCE. Price was very reasonable for the amount they give you. love the way they offer the food here. you place your order for sushi, salad, rice or any of their other dishes and they bring it out hot and fresh. the servers are very friendly and continue to check on you because you can reorder any item . the restaurant is a bit small but we've never had to wait and it's always clean. front door and plenty of parking available. read more

Love coming here for quick yummy lunch. They have great selection for their lunch all you can eat items. The dynamite roll is the best but the white tuna and Alaska roll are two of my other favorites. If your here for dinner the green lady's roll is a must try! Come here if you want to have mediocre sushi and be watched by the owner the whole entire time while you eat. The woman who was running the place, stood at the counter with her arms crossed, watching us the whole time we ate. our waitress, had a problem with her eyes because they couldn't stop rolling. I'm visiting from out of state and it could just be the racial prejudice of this area. But I did not appreciate the way we were treated. The sushi was OK but it is expected going to an all you can eat that things can be subpar. However what made the experience just OK was the customer service that I received. while there when wanting to order more sushi I was disregarded or ignored having to call the servers two and three times to get the next order. they didn't refill my drinks as they were supposed to and it seemed as though I was getting on their nerves by wanting to order more food.I thought that was the purpose of an all you can eat. I do not live in Jackson but this is my second time coming to this place and I remember when they first opened and I didn't get the same experience and the quality of sushi has definitely went downhill. Definitely save your money on this place and find better customer service else where. PS: I also wanna make note that I am a African-American woman and I felt as though all the Black people that were eating in this establishment weren't being treated the same as the Caucasian customers. ALL you can eat. They mean it. This place will serve you until you physically can not stuff your face anymore. And it's cheap. Very cheap. Around $12 a person. They offer some sushi rolls, and it's not far off from the cheap sushi you can get at some gas stations. Remember, you paid $12 for as much as you Can eat. How much more can you ask for? It's not going to be topped with lobster tail for $12. The fried items from the kitchen on the all you can eat meal reflect the $12 you paid for the whole meal. It's not going to be of great quality. The best part of the meal was the Michelob Ultra. It was very good. It was cold and served with a cold glass. Sadly it is not all you can drink. It comes with salad options, miso soup, tempura items, hibachi vegetables, ice cream, egg rolls, wantons, shumai, teriyaki filets, edamame, and of course sushi. Drink not included. It was $10 in 2014, so prices have gone up 33% hence the 4-Stars. The sushi is not the greatest quality because it is all you can eat. But it does taste good enough and they have a large variety of raw and cooked sushi. No sashimi or nigiri on the "lunch" menu, but it is on the dinner menu. The wait staff is usually pretty good about taking new orders and refilling drinks, and you usually get everything you order, but sometimes they forget. Simply remind them and they will bring it out. They will also offer you a 2nd or 3rd menu to fill out if need be. read more

I have had sushi here before and it tasted good but today I went in and ordered a crunchy salmon roll and a crunchy tuna roll and they came out with two rolls that looked identical ... I asked them to ask the chef which which was which because they look the same ... I've had tuna and I've never seen it like this. Ordered take away and I should've just gone to chipotle. The order was ready within the allotted timeframe of ordering, but EVERYTHING is mediocre. The rice in my hibachi is chewy and hard and flavorless and was 2/3 of the take away container, the chicken is dry & unseasoned and the beef was over cooked even tho I asked for it to be medium. The salmon sashimi was warm instead of cold and had a slight smell, and the rest of the sushi in my order was trash. All the avocados were brown and the veggies were sour liked they were spoiling. I gave 2 stars because the cheese wontons were ok and they gave us plenty of sauces. Krogers less than mediocre sushi, greater trumped theirs. I'd say I'm disappointed but I'm not. My wife and I love this place. After finding it via a billboard we have been about 6 times in 5 weeks. The Suish is on point as well as the kitchen food. I love the set up. You get a menu like a normal Suish bar and order what you want. It is then made fresh and brought to your table. We have had a few items missed on orders but you can just order more lol. This was the worst experience I've ever encountered in any restaurant, with regards to their unwillingness to even attempt to satisfy me, the customer. And believe me , I have had some poor experiences before, but this one left me speechless. I ordered several sushi rolls and told the waiter that I wanted the rolls wrapped in soy paper, not rice. It was evident he did not speak much English but I repeated this again and he repeated it back to me. When the rolls arrived , they were all wrapped in rice and I brought this to his attention. He proceeded to tell me the rice was wrapped around the soy paper. I explained I could not eat rice, and could he redo the 3 orders with just soy. Another waitress came over and said they could not wrap the sushi in soy paper because it would not " stick". I'm trying to tell them I have always had soy paper at every sushi place I've eaten, and it's never been a problem. Then they went to the chef to see about replacing the sushi, and whatever was said to them yielded the same response, " we can't change your order and soy paper won't work." So, I paid 35 plus a 6.00 tip and walked out of the restaurant. I understand language barriers , and misunderstanding the order. What I don't understand is their refusal to give the customer what they asked for, as well as not being willing to make things right. And then saying sushi can't be wrapped in soy paper. No major complaints on service , was very normal I did not have the all you can eat sushi people in my party did they explained that it was good! I ordered straight off the menu and my rice was served in a chipped plate and then they gave me a bowl of some type of sauce and which I did not order that was sitting directly on the rice the bowl was also chipped Therefore I did not eat any food, I was not happy with the bowl being placed on top of my food sanitation purposes and then both a chip in the plate and the bowl where was that chip was it 30 years old or was it in my food No manager or waitress asked if everything was OK Might be willing to give them a second try read more

This is a great place to grab a quick bite. And inexpensive. You have a small paper menu and you just check off all the sushi you'd like for $12. And you can keep refilling . They'll ask if you want another menu. The food tasted really fresh. The smoked salmon was very tasty. Went to Mac's one day and noticed this place opened up. Decided to go for the wife's birthday. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. This is not a buffet - so don't expect to see a line of food warmers. However it is all you can eat Sushi, teriyaki, soup, egg rolls on the lunch menu. On the dinner menu there are some additional items you can get, yaki soba, other noodle soups and dishes. The all you can eat lunch is $8 and the all your can eat dinner is $13. For a germ-a-phobe that hate buffets - this is the idea set up, because your food is fixed to order - if you want more, just let them know. We had the typical rolls, dynamite, Philly, California, spicy tuna - it was o.k. - the seafood wasn't as fresh as you would hope, but still edible. But at $8 what can you complain about? We were plenty full. We had the super sushi platter, some chicken teriyaki, fried rice, egg rolls, miso soup, clear soup, and sweet tea all for $20 for two people - that is a good bargain. In total from the waitress taking our order to receiving the order it was probably a 10 minute wait, give or take. So not bad on turnaround time. I can only give three stars because of the overall quality of the grub, but for cheap eats and on a budget - you really can't beat the bargain and on decent lunch.
