Best Sushi and extremely nice people. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Chef owner I believe came out to ask how we liked it. We told him it's so good. First time. Told him we use to get something of all places in AZ and he asked me to describe it. It was a packed piece of rice with tuna wrapped around it, high enough to almost make a bowl. Then they filled it with spicy mini scallops. He went back and came out with it. Our Stuffed Tomato. Omg it was so good. He had Blue Fin Tuna and used that. Do worth the $20 for two large pieces. I definitely recommend this place! The reviews are accurate lol. I came in on a Wednesday afternoon and my friend and I were the only guests. We were taken care of by Pheng and she was the absolute sweetest! She helped us navigate the menu and even suggested some really good options. We ended up ordering the crab wontons (crabmeat rangoon) with miso soup as the appetizers. My friend also ordered the chicken and salmon hibachi, while I went with the Fantasy Roll. All of it was soo good! We also ordered Peach Japanese Sprites which were tasty as well! I was really surprised at how reasonable their prices are. Great food! Great service! My husband and I came on Valentines day and we were expecting it to be too busy but we got there just in time before there was a rush of people coming in. The food was great. The service was very fast. I definitely recommend the red heart roll. They also to my surprise served sweet shrimp and I was so happy with it. It's a very laid back restaurant if you'd choose to ever come. I also received a little bag as a gift, I'm not sure if it was for valentines day but it had little chocolates in it. Had dinner at this restaurant on my birthday while visiting Jackson, Mississippi. Everything was very good. Arrived right after 6pm on a Saturday and found parking right in front of the building. Got inside and the first impression was great... smily faces, clean place, people being served. We were greeted immediately by a friendly young lady who told us to pick a table close to the sushi bar. She also showed us the QR for the menu which seems to allow customers to place their order, but before we could review the whole menu someone was already taking our order. We got a glass of wine, a small hot sake and steamed edamame which came out right away. Then we ordered a veggie roll, sweet potato roll and a roll they made just for us with asparagus, avocado and cucumber (AAC) which we get all the time at our favorite sushi restaurant in Florida. All 3 rolls were excellent. We also ordered the veggie Yaki udon noodles and the hibachi veggie with fried rice no eggs or fish sauce. Both dishes were flavorful and not too oily. We ordered the sushi and sashimi for two, it includes a spicy tuna roll, but we switched it out for the philly roll for a small upcharge. We also ordered sweet shrimp, and a wasabi tobiko roll. Everything we had was delicious, and extremely fresh! Some of the best octopus we've had around, super tender. The rice to fish ratio in their rolls were perfect, their philly is the biggest we've seen in a while No complaints, lots of salmon, cream cheese, and avo, with little rice, just how we like it. My favorite bite were the crispy fried shrimp heads from our sweet shrimp, nothing better than head butter My 2nd fav bite is the fresh white tuna, it's not fishy at all, my favorite cut of sashimi. Service was great, wished I asked for her name. I had food coma and they had relaxing spa music on, so I couldn't focus and almost fell asleep. HELL'S KITCHEN IN REAL LIFE, FEATURING A WORSE GORDON RAMSAY. I have had enough of this restaurant. Despite the expensive food, the male owner was quite rude regarding service and attitude. As an adult, he lost his temper many times throughout our visits over the years. One time he had a drastic argument with his wife because we asked if we could pay extra for a specific kind of sushi in a combo. Another time he tried to fire a waitress, and they argued back and forth, whereby everyone in the restaurant had to endure his LOUD voice during their debate. The last time we visited, he charged an extra price for a dish, and we had to discuss this with him. After the discussion, he adjusted the price yet suddenly slammed me on the back, pretending it was a friendly apology. Rude owner, awful experience. But that Hibachi (all of them) needed help! Unseasoned, bland, and looked like it was microwaved! Not grilled at all. We were dissatisfied with only that and told the waitress about it. The manager came to our table loudly with an attitude saying "now what's the problem?! This is how we make it!! We make, you pay!!" We tried explaining our dissatisfaction including her response to us, and she said "Call the police!" As if we weren't going to pay. We just paid for our meals, left that Horribachi, and left! Haven't been here in over a year. Decided to try something new on the menu other than just sushi. Ordered the crabmeat tempura bento box. It came with miso soup, salad with ginger dressing, two pieces of gyoza, California roll, fried rice, tempura vegetables and 3 big fried crab sticks. I know....that's a lot! I enjoyed everything that came except for the main dish itself. The crab sticks were fried a little too hard to my liking. Good flavor....just over-fried. The California roll also didn't taste the freshest but that's ok because I'm not a huge fan of that roll and there are no substitutes allowed on the roll. Service was great. My server, Marissa, was brand new but did an outstanding job in waiting on me. Actually I liked the fact that I asked a different server for a fork and instead of waiting for my server, she brought it herself. Folks, this is *the* sushi place in the Jackson area. It tops a lot of places I've tried in the metro. I called in just before closing (which I typically refrain from doing). But I was in the area and starving. They were so so nice to accommodate my order AND take the time to make it. I'm a sushi lover, and the best way to eat sushi is raw. FANTASY ROLL GUYS. You can tell the fish is fresh. They don't pack the rice on which I like. The rice is really there to keep the protein or veggies if you have it... together. Be mindful, a lot of the sushi in the area is refined to the taste buds of Mississippians. read more

I have been here a couple of times. Once over a year ago with my wife and again today for lunch by myself. I have had there Sushi which is better that most places I have been the Jackson area except one. The fish is fresh tasting and the rice is very good. Today I had the lunch steak and shrimp hibachi. The steak was cooked to the requested temperature and had a good taste, the rice had a nice mixture of crispy and chewy as a good fried rice should. It would have been nice to have vegetables and more egg in the rice however. The shrimp on the other hand were a bit over cooked no longer having the classic "C" shape instead they had the dreaded "O" shape and were on the tougher side. They do bring a whole bottle of yum-yum sauce to the which is nice if you love sauce. The salad was fresh with a nice dressing and soup was as you would expect. I also ordered the shrimp tempura which comes with vegetables. I must say the vegetables stole the show here they were hot and crunchy with lite flavor but not over powering. The shrimp sadly was cool and had most like been cooked for a little while before they were served. They also serve a relatively small amount of tempura dipping sauce in a large-ish bowl. That caused two problems for me one not enough sauce over all but also very hard to dip in a wide shallow pool. The service staff were very friendly and checked on me several times during my meal. The location over all is nice and the restaurant is always clean. read more
