    Pearl River Roll -- delicious!
    Samantha S.

This used to be the go-to sushi place for anyone in a fifteen-mile radius of Lewisburg (including for college students like myself) but it's slowly being replaced by other businesses with better deals and better service. Before I go to the bad, I'll start with the good. Their Pearl River Roll is terrific. It's so yummy with just the perfect amount of sweetness. It's a true mouthful, and probably not ideal for first dates because of that, but it's well worth the try. Their lo mein is delicious. I personally always go with the vegetable lo mein though, as I don't think their meat options for it are any good. Their House Salad is also tasty, though the ginger dressing can be a bit watery. The bad thing about this place is their service is fairly poor. It can be a little difficult to communicate effectively with servers and there's also an older gentleman who works as a busboy on staff that actually talks down about the restaurant to you while you eat your meal. He'll come to your table and chat for fairly long periods of time sometimes; it's very strange. And as for seating, it can get quite drafty by the door and there seems to be no set host or hostess; you sort of just motion to someone in the back and seat yourself. So anyway, good food but the rest of the experience leaves something to be desired.

Good option for your standard Japanese fare. Definitely not hopping out of my chair to get there again, but their bento box provide a great option for those as indecisive as me. Big plus to this place is the BYOB aspect--a factor not too far fetched from other restaurants on Market Street. The majority of the food was fresh and hot, the sushi as lackluster as a california roll can be. The Veggie Teriyaki corner left a lot to be desired, but the delicious sauce made up for the lukewarm saggy veggies. Clean tables and subpar service. It was a tad awkward when the waitress came with the check when we weren't even done with our dinner. But hey, it's a local joint, so I'll be back!

Pretty good sushi for being almost smack in the middle of PA. The space itself looks small from the outside but they have a larger room in the back for bigger parties, which is where we ended up sitting with our group of 10+. As Japanese fair goes, I'd give this place a thumbs up! I got nigiri which was reasonably priced as well as the steamed dumplings which were just good, nothing to rave about. The bento boxes my friends got looked like a great value, and if I had been hungrier, I probably would have tried one of their specialty sushi rolls (my buddy gets the rock and roll every time and it looked very good!). If you come to Sushihanna, expect good food with great service. I'd visit again if I ever find myself in Lewisburg again! And I'll definitely be getting the rock n roll!

Great sushi! I've been twice. The first time I ordered salmon sashimi and smoked salmon sashimi, and both were excellent. My friend ordered the dumplings and said they were great. The second time I ordered salmon sashimi and the crab sashimi and again it was all great. That time, one of my friends ordered a sushi roll that she loved and the other ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box (which was the largest bento box I've ever seen. She ate a ton and it looked like she didn't even make a dent) and everyone was very happy with their meals. They always give a good amount of wasabi and ginger (they have great ginger!) and a cool cucumber appetizer for free, even at lunch. I would definitely come back again!

Coming from California, this place is the last place I would go to eat Japanese food. It's run by Chinese people..... The sushi is the kind you would find at the 7-11 cold bin and the flavors are confused. This is not a legit Japanese sushi house and if you're coming in from out of town or outside of PA don't waste your time or money, not worth it!

Nora got accepted to Bucknell, and we came to buy a shirt. On our way to the car we were hungry and stopped for a super. This is my overall review: 1. Clean ... 4 out of 5 2. Service ....5 out of 5 3. Food ....out of 5 Why? The avocado of the roll was not fresh and was color dark. The lo mein was a bunch of pasta with soy sauce. Chirasi was really delicious ...no complaints The bento box had not so fresh fish.

Came with friends. First time here. Many more items on menu than expected. Something for those who like raw and those who do not, as well as combinations. Sushi, Sashimi, Tempura, steamed dumplings, some salads and soups. Many sushi items available as sashimi. Also grilled Teriyaki dinners. Also, several lunch plates designed for a quick delicious lunch. Also some Lo Mein and Fried Rice items. I had a sushi sashimi combination and it is quite good. The taste is not as good as in LA or New York, but there is no seaport near Lewisburg, so naturally it would not be because of time for delivery. I was told that they source from New York City. Prices very reasonable for quantity of food. Staff is friendly. Service wait was tolerable, about 20 minutes for all four of us. We were there on a Wednesday evening and it was very busy, mostly full as long as we were there. Capacity I believe is 60 to 70 people. One drawback is that the acoustics are not good and it is pretty loud, not loud enough that you cannot hear others at your table, but not to far below that. We were only four and it was very busy

We all did not arrive at the same time but within 5 minutes of each other and the policy is not to sit at hibachi table until everyone in party is there. I knew this from before but had momentarily forgotten. The lack of waiting area is also a problem and they direct you to area with non hibachi's tables. I immediately explained that my son is not going to do well moving from waiting table to hibachi table without issues. The response was "well that is our policy". He is non verbal, has autism and fragile x, he doesn't understand policy or why we'd be put at one table area to wait and then move to another table. When the rest of our party arrived and he had to move, he got loud as I predicted. Two other people in our party also had autism. I sensed immediate annoyance from the management. We have no complaints about our server or our hibachi chef as they were more than kind and nice but we feel management instructed them to move us out fast. It was the fastest hibachi cooking I ever had there. We were never asked if we needed more drinks or dessert. It was a birthday celebration. Then suddenly they were there singing with a gong but obviously knew we had autistic people in the party. It caused reaction from my son and his cousin. They never asked us prior if it was okay or told us what they planned. We could have prepared the boys for noise. And then next thing we knew our check and to go boxes were presented basically saying get out! It was my worst experience ever at Ichiban or any other place I have taken my son in all of Pennsylvania or Texas where our permanent home is now. I did not punish the waitress and gave a very generous tip. I truly think she was told to move us fast. It wasn't even overly busy as we went before 5 pm. There were open hibachi tables. Overall I think the management needs training in people with autism and other sensitivity issues. This is super disappointing from a restaurant we typically love.

This is going to be a bit of a rant, because this place is now terrible and we have had so many family meals and birthday parties here, which can't happen anymore unfortunately. Most Hibachi restaurants are about the same with maybe a few unique dishes. I feel like there's a formula and if they stick to it, it's on overall good experience. Oliran definitely didn't stick to the formula, We've had the same waitress twice now, which was probably the biggest problem. Running around and almost throwing the food on the table, like she just drank a case of Red Bull and never comes back to check on you. The biggest problem is that gratuity is included, so you are open to get bad service. My mother in law and I both got a hot tea and it was Luke warm. We asked if we could have them throw it in the microwave at least (I know...gross). The waitress got snippy and said she would have to make a new pot. I got the crispy duck, and only ate about a third of it, it was just gross. They put some crappy lettuce underneath it that was soaked in water and some microwavable peas and carrots. I finished my meal about 15 minutes before the hibachi chef came out, which was about 75 minutes after we arrived. The hibachi chef was great as usual, but even the food from the grill wasn't as good as it once was. The tables are sticky and overall the staff are just unpleasant college kids.
