food was good but horrible ambience. we weren't checked on a SINGLE time not even to get the check.. had to get it ourselves.. yikes. no music or even people other than one other couple so it was eerily silent and awkward. multiple flies buzzing around the whole time just made the environment even more uncomfortable and a poor experience. once we got our food we were shocked that they served us our spring rolls in a styrofoam takeout container with a flimsy paper doily on the bottom.. like do we not have a random plate to put them on?? they also gave us no napkins until we got our entrees when we got a generous TWO napkins. the food was pretty basic, nothing to write home about but it's probably the only thing saving this place from one star. they also acted like we were in a drought or something because we were offered zero refills of water (although they never checked on us so how would they even know we needed a refill!) and they did not give water to those who ordered a strawberry lemonade. portion size for the bento box was pretty generous. overall it would probably be good if you order to go, but do NOT go here for a pleasant restaurant experience. read more

We went pretty early on a Thursday night and it was pretty empty, but how you order is really weird. But the food does make up for it. Me and my father got the boat of sushi and it was fantastic. They already serve the food like noodles and single orders of sushi in the takeout containers because they are technically not "table service", but the restaurant was kind of bland and the sushi chef is just chopping in the open space. This used to be the go-to sushi place for anyone in a fifteen-mile radius of Lewisburg (including for college students like myself) but it's slowly being replaced by other businesses with better deals and better service. Before I go to the bad, I'll start with the good. Their Pearl River Roll is terrific. It's so yummy with just the perfect amount of sweetness. It's a true mouthful, and probably not ideal for first dates because of that, but it's well worth the try. Their lo mein is delicious. I personally always go with the vegetable lo mein though, as I don't think their meat options for it are any good. Their House Salad is also tasty, though the ginger dressing can be a bit watery. The bad thing about this place is their service is fairly poor. It can be a little difficult to communicate effectively with servers and there's also an older gentleman who works as a busboy on staff that actually talks down about the restaurant to you while you eat your meal. He'll come to your table and chat for fairly long periods of time sometimes; it's very strange. And as for seating, it can get quite drafty by the door and there seems to be no set host or hostess; you sort of just motion to someone in the back and seat yourself. So anyway, good food but the rest of the experience leaves something to be desired. read more

Big plus to this place is the BYOB aspect--a factor not too far fetched from other restaurants on Market Street. The Veggie Teriyaki corner left a lot to be desired, but the delicious sauce made up for the lukewarm saggy veggies. Clean tables and subpar service. Pretty good sushi for being almost smack in the middle of PA. The space itself looks small from the outside but they have a larger room in the back for bigger parties, which is where we ended up sitting with our group of 10+. As Japanese fair goes, I'd give this place a thumbs up! I got nigiri which was reasonably priced as well as the steamed dumplings which were just good, nothing to rave about. The bento boxes my friends got looked like a great value, and if I had been hungrier, I probably would have tried one of their specialty sushi rolls (my buddy gets the rock and roll every time and it looked very good!). If you come to Sushihanna, expect good food with great service. I'd visit again if I ever find myself in Lewisburg again! And I'll definitely be getting the rock n roll! read more

I think this is pretty damn good sushi for the middle of PA, and in fact, I would be happy to eat this in Boston. I have eaten there three times... once pre-pandemic inside the restaurant, and twice post-pandemic for take out (they were doing a good job with precautions). All three times the sushi was really delicious. The seaweed salad is really fresh and tasty, generous portions. I have also enjoyed their Snow white roll and the Iso Maki, as well as some more standard sushi items like spicy salmon and spider roll. Salmon sashimi was high quality. My daughter got some of their veggie sushi options as well as the spring rolls. And it's BYOB! I hope someday I can go back and eat in person again. read more

I went once last year with a friend and back then their dine-in service was on pause but you could still eat inside. We shared a few types of rolls and all of them were delicious and packed with flavor. Also the food came to us fast, which was nice because we needed to catch a show afterwards. Great sushi! I've been twice. The first time I ordered salmon sashimi and smoked salmon sashimi, and both were excellent. My friend ordered the dumplings and said they were great. The second time I ordered salmon sashimi and the crab sashimi and again it was all great. That time, one of my friends ordered a sushi roll that she loved and the other ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box (which was the largest bento box I've ever seen. She ate a ton and it looked like she didn't even make a dent) and everyone was very happy with their meals. Sushi, Sashimi, Tempura, steamed dumplings, some salads and soups. Many sushi items available as sashimi. Also grilled Teriyaki dinners. Also, several lunch plates designed for a quick delicious lunch. Also some Lo Mein and Fried Rice items. I had a sushi sashimi combination and it is quite good. The taste is not as good as in LA or New York, but there is no seaport near Lewisburg, so naturally it would not be because of time for delivery. I was told that they source from New York City. Prices very reasonable for quantity of food. Staff is friendly. Service wait was tolerable, about 20 minutes for all four of us. We were there on a Wednesday evening and it was very busy, mostly full as long as we were there. Capacity I believe is 60 to 70 people. One drawback is that the acoustics are not good and it is pretty loud, not loud enough that you cannot hear others at your table, but not to far below that. I went here to dinner with my girlfriend and the sushi was amazing! I wasn't expecting anything out of this world, we figured it would just be another sushi place but everything from the presentation to the taste was special and unique. Sushihanna has quickly become my go-to spot this semester for a quick and relatively nutritious meal downtown. It's a great place to eat with friends; although the restaurant is usually pretty loud, the close tables make it a great place for group dinners. I have tried a sizable portion of the menu, but my favorite roll is still the Spicy Tuna. Besides that, the Chicken Tempura and Pearl River roll are usually my go-to. Waitstaff aren't the friendliest, but they are efficient and polite. Service is fairly quick. The wait is often between fifteen and twenty minutes depending on the quantity of food ordered, but it's worth it. Price is good for quantity of food; I never leave Sushihanna still feeling hungry. Bonus - the restaurant is BYOB. I'm usually here at least once every two weeks, and I will continue coming back because of consistent service and quality meals. read more

No flavor. Very generic and bland. Staff are hard to understand due to harsh accent. I tried the Godzilla roll which is nothing but spicy tuna on top of a shrimp tempura roll. No sauce, no flavor, flat. The other roll was a crab stick roll with a white fish on top with a lil mayo that the bake on top. Again, no flavor just blah. The tables are on top of one another, so do not expect a romantic dinner with your significant other without worrying about other guests eavesdropping onto your conversation. This review is primarily reflected on their wait staff, making guests feel like dollar signs rather than guests. Overall I feel that the service is lame, feels like they throw the food at you. Just because you get a table right away, doesn't mean you're in and out fast. Expect a long wait for mediocre sushi. Just seems like they don't care about guests, and know that they are always going have business regardless. If there was immediate competition they would be in trouble. The one thing they have going for them is their prices and location. Good for take-out only (in my opinion) if you're really craving sushi. I don't care to go back again; I recommend just taking the extra 20 minute drive to Williamsport for sushi that you can actually remember and service that actually cares for their guests. read more

This place has a nice open dining room on Market Street in Lewisburg. Service was painfully slow, granted there was a private event going on in the back. Still, it took a while for our server to take our orders. When our food did arrive, it was quite satisfying. I would recommend the shrimp fried rice, as it was bountiful in its massive portion size and very tasty. It then took a while for our server to bring us the check, and we become restless. Buncha haters on Yelp. It's almost possible to say I drive around the northeast and eat Sushi for a living. I hit up a Chirashi bowl at least twice a week. I'm not gonna do the douchy thing and say I'm from Cali or Brooklyn, but whatever.
