I asked the person helping me to double check with the manager to make sure that they could dry clean the curtains. He said he would get the manager to call me this past Monday. Monday came and went with no call. So on Tuesday I called the main number and explained the situation to the person answering the phone. The woman told me she would call the manager and check on my curtains. I received a voicemail while I was on a conference call that they would dry clean the curtains and have them ready by Wednesday. They lead me to believe that they were able to dry clean them without a problem. Fast forward to Thursday when I picked up my curtains. My silk curtain was torn and the "manager" supposedly left me a voicemail that my curtain was damaged. Well that's a LIE! I told the customer service person to get the manager to call me....FAST FOWARD TO FRIDAY AND NO CALL! So now I have to leave this horrible review! There was no supposed sun damage on my curtain. They are also quality curtains that are only 8 years old. They is no reason why they should have been damaged and I have dry cleaned these curtains in Fort Worth TX before with no problem. This is ridiculous.

I brought it to several different cleaners and no one showed any interest or optimism that there was anything they were willing to try to help. I brought the table cloth into Davis Cleaners at 5300 Menaul. There, the owner/head cleaner gave a careful examination of the tablecloth, admired the craftsmanship and detailed artwork of the crocheted piece. Not knowing what it was stained with or how long it had been stained, he said they could give it their best shot, being careful of the delicate nature of the piece. A week later, I picked up the tablecloth hoping for at least some improvement. Unbelievable!!!!! The stain was completely gone! The crocheted cotton was completely refreshed! I truly thought it was ruined. When I was in high school, my mom hand-embroidered a cougar on the back of my letterman jacket. I still remember her sitting at my soccer games, creating the cougar's face one stitch at a time. Years later, after I had outgrown the jacket, I couldn't bear to part with it. I carefully cut the cougar off, and my mom sewed it onto a denim jacket so I could keep wearing it. That jacket is one of my most treasured possessions. I've always joked that if there were a fire and I could only save one thing, it would be that jacket. So when a hand washing caused the embroidery to bleed and lose its brilliance, I was absolutely devastated. I was in tears when I brought it to The Cleanery because I honestly didn't believe it could be restored. A few days later they called to say it was ready. I walked in expecting to be disappointed, but Scott brought out my jacket, and I couldn't believe my eyes. The cougar looked as beautiful as the day my mom finished sewing it. I burst into tears again--this time, happy tears. And I paid less than $22 for this--so reasonable and the best money I've ever spent in my life. Scott was incredibly kind and shared my joy. I also want to thank the magical fairy godmother behind the scenes who worked on my jacket with such extraordinary skill and care. Francis, I have no idea how you did it, but you gave me back something that is truly irreplaceable. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This meant the world to both my mom and me. If you have something precious that you think is beyond saving, take it to The Cleanery. They worked a miracle. I'm attaching before-and-after photos so you can see the transformation.
