Went there for the first time for lunch with my husband. It was convenient to an appointment we had so we thought we give it a try. I think the reason this place is still open is because of its location. First the place seemed abnormally dark for a sunny day. The hostess was barely audible as she sat us at a booth near the front. I noticed right away that the place didn't seem clean. ie the table was sticky. Maybe it was whatever they cleaned their tables with. The hostess asked if we wanted something to drink and I didn't see drinks on the menu so I told her I hadn't decided. My husband order unsweetened ice tea. The waiter came over soon after and asked me again what I would like to drink. I asked what kind of drinks they served. He told me Pepsi products so I aske for rootbeer which pepsi has. No dice they only had pepsi etc. My husband asked if he could still order breakfast. The waiter looked at his watch and it happened to be 10 minutes after they served breakfast. A flat no was his response stating they stopped serving at 2:00. My husband who usually is understanding was upset because he didn't even ask. The only other customers there were eating. Only about 5 other tables were occupied. In other words not very busy. My husband just said lets leave. He paid for his heavily iced tea. Will never go there again. read more

I love Susie's. I bring my mom and brother here to eat all the time. Anything we order is always delicious. I feel like I'm eating at home.

The best kept secret in Spring Hill! My family loves the selection and everything we have tried is delicious!! The great prices and friendly staff keep us coming back week after week. Although we do not drink much, they offer a full liquor bar. The atmosphere is clean and classy. read more

I LOVE their double cheeseburgers with bacon. Thick, cooked to order, the perfect amount of greasy and delicious. Best in Spring Hill, by far. They are always great to the swim team when they stop by, fast and friendly service. Décor is a bit underwhelming but very clean. Today was the first time my FAMILY visited this place. Within 2 minutes of being seated, the entire place started hearing a woman yelling profanities at a waitress. I am talking "F" bombs loud and clear. At first I thought it was a customer but then this woman followed the waitress into the kitchen where we could hear her scream, "You should be f**king fired you idiot!" I knew it wasn't a customer because electricians that were there performing repairs were there taking orders from her. This is sad because I would have gone back but I will not give my money to a company that treats their employees this way and carries on in such an unprofessional manner while paying customers are present. If I wanted to hear the "F" word that many times, and witness a grown woman yelling like a child, I would have stayed home and watched reruns of the Ozzy show. Very sad. It was a pleasant surprise to find Susie's had transformed a former biker bar into a pleasant, clean, family restaurant with new decor, a full menu and breakfast until 2pm. The omelet I had was delicious. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The ambiance is a bit noisy, but I believe that if they tune their radio to music rather than a station that talks a lot, that might improve. read more

Tried to eat here as a low carb'er. I ordered the ribs told them No fries, askef for coleslaw or cottage cheese instead. They can't do that even though they are exactly the same price ($2.25). So I ordered fish instead with no fries and because I am not getting fries, that's my loss I guess. I'll just pay what everyelse does but just get less. read more

I never write reviews, but just coming from breakfast here, and this place was awesome. We had a party of six, we were greeted immediately upon entering. The place was busy, but our table was ready within minutes. Server was friendly, coffee was great. The home fries are what made this place for me. They were super soft with a crispy outside... Perfect. This was our first visit, but we will definitely be back. They have a full dinner menu also. read more

I wish this great little find would tap back into what made them great in the past. Sadly, it's lost its sparkle. We headed in one night for dinner. Place wasn't overly crowded so we felt it would be a great dinner with little waiting. Our waitress was anything but good. Failing to do a simple task like filling water glasses is unacceptable. What's even more unacceptable is the fact that she brought me mustard instead of honey mustard for my salad. Unfortunately this wasn't discovered until after I poured it on the entire salad. It came in a little serving cup and I unknowingly poured it on the salad. This rendered it inedible. When she finally returned she asked if I didn't like the salad, I explained that the dressing was not honey mustard, but straight mustard. She said "well, that's what the bottle said, so that's what it is." Rather than have a battle of the wits with an unarmed person, I just shook my head, we paid our bill, and left....never to return again. There are plenty of great places who provide great food, prices, and customer service. There is no need to eat at places like this who don't. Additionally, our table wasn't the only disappointment that night, one other table actually returned their food to the kitchen. Maybe an entire staff reevaluation is necessary? read more

I was a customer of the old Susie's on Spring Hill Drive, I was excited to try their new location, the place is noisey, you can't hear yourself think, the food is decent, the Chicken Casear Wrap is good for the price 5.95, but the real complaint is the Manager I have never heard someone put down their wait staff as this person has, get the coffee, put out creamers, get the food...come on a waitress is half ways across the room bringing out other food and the Manager is screaming get the food. Someone make a mistake in the kitchen and she called them scumbags and other foul words all within the hear shot of customers. This women is a horror, I never saw her before at the old Susie's but she's mean, nasty and shouldn't be in the business if she can't talk to people in a nice way. She lost me and my group of 18, I won't be subject to her barking commands. read more

Susie's is a warm and friendly restaurant. Whether we go for breakfast, lunch or dinner the food is beautifully prepared, plentiful and reasonably priced. You never leave hungry! You must try the antipasto--it is the best antipasto in all of Hernando and Pasco Counties and maybe in the State of Florida. The staff is friendly and competent. Pedro is an excellent host but the highlight of every visit is our interaction with Angel. We always look forward to his warm welcome which always includes a big hug! If you haven't eaten at Susie's, you're missing a great dining experience. read more

I have been to Susie's many, many times but after today finally decided to write a review because i have observed the same thing so often. Here's the deal, the food is good. Really good burgers and I like it that breakfast is served till 2pm. So why the one star? The staff! The waitresses are nice until you get your food and then it is consistently a disappearing act. Getting a refill, napkin, anything. And the servers do not help each other out so if you don't see your server, good luck. It isn't happening. To be fair, there is one waitress there I've had and she works really hard and is always on it but I think she is the only one. The worst part is the owner or manager or whatever she is. What an incredibly toxic work environment. I have so often seen her completely disparage the waitresses (No wonder they don't want to work) She sighs, rolls her eyes. If she is upset (which is every time I've been there), everyone knows it. Completely unprofessional. I want to support local places but I just cannot support this place anymore. read more

We ( group of 13 people) went to Suzie's to eat on 6-21-2015 (Fathers day) and also the day of my grand kids baptism. We all had various dishes which were very good as a whole. I had Susie's breakfast (3 eggs, 3 sausage 3 bacon, and 3 pancakes ) and I ordered a side order of toast, which I was hoping to clean up the egg drippings with (sunny side up is the way I eat them). I mentioned the food was great, but ( we had several waitresses because of the size of the table) one waitress in particular, who I will not forget, took my order, brought out the food (minus toast) told me the toast was on its way. 10 minutes later I am done with the eggs, bacon, sausage (minus toast) and just waiting for the butter to melt on my pancakes (Still no toast). She told me that they ( the chefs?) had it in the toaster. I finish up the pancakes and still no toast. I asked that the toast be taken off the bill that I no longer want it. One of the other waitresses brought out the toast, but by then the drippy parts of the eggs were hard and I just threw some jelly on to the toast to eat it, so that I did not waste the other waitresses effort. Like I said, I will not forget the face of the one waitress that left me "toastless" and if she had been the only server there would have been NO TIP ( Forget once, I can understand; lying to my face is not a wise move or good employee practice ) She made, what was a pleasant Sunday outing, into an unpleasant dining experience. I will be back to Suzie's, because they have good food but that one waitress will NEVER serve at a table that I sit at again! We have been eating at Susie's since they opened. We also ate at the last 4 that occupied that space. The very first AJ's was the only one that was great until now. Susie's is a friendly place where you may meet your neighbors or the butcher from Winn Dixie. The food is great, the prices can be normal and high, depending on what you are having. We have never been disappointed. I am pretty sure we have had everything on the menu at one time or another. I love their house salad dressing. So much, that I take a container home. My only request.....better deserts. Like peach cobbler, rice pudding, pie. Yes, Angel is the best. He greats me with a hug all the time. read more
