This is now my favorite climbing gym in Indy! I've been to Hoosier Heights and Climb Time but this…read moreone is the least crowded and modern like HH. You can get a monthly membership or come on demand (gear rental is available) and they also have yoga classes and strength training sessions. It's a bit of a drive but worth it and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend!

Forgot how fun rock climbing is! And how much upper body strength it takes lol…read more Pros: This facility is HUGE. There are multiple climbing walls that are 50 ft high I believe. They also have multiple bouldering walls, which is climbing without harnesses (don't worry, if you fall, they have super padded mats under them). They even have a ping pong table, treadmills, an elliptical, and offer classes! I was also really impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. The staff were very friendly and there was a cute little gift shop inside. A day pass is $19, plus the rental cost of shoes and gear. After everything I think it was $27 total per person. Cons: Out of the huge area and many climbing walls, only 7 of them have the automatic pulleys. The others are person harnesses where someone actually had to hold the other person with a rope. So if you are a first timer, you are limited to those 7 automatic walls. Also, Yelp had a coupon for checking in, for free gear rental. They did not honor it because they said yelp automatically created it and they don't give those coupons out. Didn't know Yelp could do that? I think it's a little misleading if people were to choose the gym for the coupon because they thought they were getting a deal, only to be denied. All in all, it was a super fun time and I would go again!!! Definitely recommend!!

This is a great place to explore a new activity, strengthen your body and surprise yourself. The facility itself was nice and the reception staff was friendly and customer service-oriented. I walked in about 10 minutes before class. There was one person in the lobby and the receptionist was on the phone. She was so busy answering the questions of the person the phone, that by the time she addressed me to fill out newbie paperwork and pay for the class, I ended up being late. She was still talking to the potential customer on the phone. This review is based on the Sunday Zumba Class at 3:00pm. While I personally did not enjoy the class and probably would not take another Zumba class at Chrome, I am open to trying the facility again for a pole dancing class for the novelty. It's also their specialty and I have a feeling that it reflects in all their fitness classes. The classes (all) are not cheap and neither is membership, so I suggest you try a class or two before committing to a membership or class pass. Have you ever taken a Zumba class? Have you mastered Zumba moves to the advanced or expert level? Have you taken years of dance and can quickly catch on to a complex string of steps/turns that repeat maybe 3-4 times per song? Can you read minds so that you know when the instructor will change steps or direction without hand signals or verbal cues? Are you in top physical shape with no current(or remnants of past injuries, especially knee) issues? Can you handle a high impact, high energy class without a warm-up routine that ramps up in energy/impact or any slower intermediary routines (for at least 45 minutes)? If you answered "NO" to any of these questions, this class is not for you! I, by no means, would not call myself a Zumba beginner, but I am in no way an expert either. This class is not for those with physical issues of any kind (especially knee issues), even if you have experience in modifying moves. In the hundreds of Zumba classes I have taken, this was the class I enjoyed the least...so much so that I walked out before the class ended. Correction, I limped out. Though I modified moves (at least those steps I could follow), there were so many turns and direction changes that my knee couldn't take it. Oh well, lesson learned.

The teachers are poorly trained, unorganized, and usually unhelpful. Foundations is their best foot forward, and it only goes down hill from there. Wild Orchid has a somewhat hidden location, and doesn't look like it should be there. It's in almost a garage and has plenty of parking. From the outside, it is pretty inconspicuous, but on the inside, Wild Orchid has a very vibrant and clean atmosphere. Taking proper precautions for COVID, stations for each student were spread 6 feet apart and there were sanitizing stations and sanitizing procedures taken before and after our class. The class itself was fabulous. Anita instructed our class of mostly novices and did an excellent job of both being engaging and breaking down the basics. I definitely struggled with some of the techniques she presented, and she ensured that I felt confident in myself and corrected what I was doing. I highly recommend looking into taking classes at Wild Orchid, whether it be as a group or as an individual. It really pushed me out of my comfort zone and I am looking forward to returning soon!
