Was met with an off-putting receptionist. Cancelled appointment on the spot. Left office after giving my license and insurance card. 3 days later discovered my Medicare card was missing while at another doctor appointment. Complete panic. I blanked a bit as to where it could be after searching and searching. Remembered I was at Sussex Eye they confirmed they had it. Infuriated that they didnt have kindness in letting me know after I left. No phone call that day or the following Monday. Upon picking it up was told it was my responsibility to figure out where I left it. Who does that? What kind of person/office knowing they kept my medicare card would refuse to let a patient know. Inept client care. Insane negligence to honor a patients panic. Their lack of concern is disgusting. read more

Very hard to get your prescription in writing from this practice. Missing the PD from the prescription which they have, just not on the prescription and we are on day 5 of attempting to get an updated prescription. All I can suspect is that they are attempting to keep their patients from going elsewhere for Optical. read more

The frame of my glasses broke. Since I was traveling soon, I was in a panic, not having time to order a new pair. The wonderful woman was able to find a couple frames that would hold my lenses. She helped me decide on which to purchase, she put the lenses in & I was on my way! I went in, worrying that nothing could be done. I am a visitor from Scotland and visited the Sussex Eye Centre today to see if it would be possible to replace a missing screw in my glasses. The receptionist immediately directed me to Mr David's desk and he sorted out my glasses very quickly. The Customer Service I received was outstanding. Not only were my glasses repaired but they were also carefully cleaned and Mr David checked to make sure they sat correctly, when I put them on. Thank you very much. My eyesight has been an issue for the past couple of years, myopia and astigmatism. I went to another practice in Lewes a couple of years ago and then to Lenscrafters in Massachusetts last year. This year I chose Dr. Rebarchik in the Lewes office of Sussex Eye Center. While I was waiting in the outer office, I saw on the TV that Dr. Rebarchik has a degree in Physics as background for his study of Optometry. I have a couple of degrees in Mathematics, so I was very pleased to see his scientific background. I had high expectations and they were exceeded. Dr. Rebarchik gave me a most thorough exam and then discussed my options honestly and completely. He suggested that I not get new glasses, but look into cataract surgery. He was very open about whether I'd opt to get the surgery in Delaware or our winter home in Florida. I felt as though I was treated very well by Dr. Rebarchik and the rest of the friendly staff that I dealt with. I highly recommend Sussex Eye Center. read more

My Dr. Nguyen is the best Eye Doctor I've been to besides her husband who also works there! She is so thorough and kind an understanding!! Never makes you feel dumb for asking questions! She takes excellent care of all her patients! I'm in a wheelchair and I've been to many Doctors for my eyes because I have Sarcoidosis I need to be seen by a good Dr. who knows about my Disease because you can go blind from it!! Never again. My wife and I both went in for an exam, and after spending $1700 on two pair of glasses for her, I told them I just wanted my script. They had the balls to ask for $10 extra for my PD, which was part of the script! I then called my old eye doctor, who gave me the measurement, and I ordered a pair of progressives for $40 online. The person behind the desk was the most cordial and professional person I have encountered in a long time. As a new patient, she thoroughly explained SEC policies and procedures. She told me exactly what the cost would be minus my insurance. The technicians were delightful, caring, and thorough in the initial exam.
