I should have written this review months ago but today was the Ah-ha moment. I called around several chiros around my area for an urgent appointment , I was in desperate need of a chiropractor. I had been at that time battling post herpetic neuralgia from shingles for about a year and a half with PT medical massages injections and oral meds with no improvement. I was at the point where the pain was making me incredibly depressed and I was going on a trip where I would had to sit on a plane for a long time so I wanted to get adjusted before my trip. I finally found this office that had an opening and I came in had an evaluation and it was adjusted that day. I felt a lot better immediately unlike my other visits with other Chiropractor's. Dr. Robinson's office had warned that my recovery might take up to a year but honestly I felt 100% by month 4. Essentially zero pain from the post herpetic neuralgia. It wasn't until today that I realized after a maintenance medical massage that this new discomfort I have been feeling, was due to an upper rib being unaligned. My LMT had tried to correct it, but said that I might need a chiropractor because she believed that a rib was stuck. Immediately after my massage appointment, I called Dr. Robinson's office and he was able to squeeze me in. I am so eternally grateful because as soon as I came in and showed him what was hurting and what made it hurt - he diagnosed it and got everything back in order. I got off the table and try to replicate the pain and it was still there a little bit, Dr. Robinson had mentioned that it might still be a little bit sore especially because it had just been worked on by the LMT, but wanted to make sure that everything was back in place so I got back on the table and after that second adjustment I was instantly able to breathe better more deeply, and there's absolutely no pain. I am so thankful I found the office. The entire staff (Dr. Hudson, Brandy, Dana) are immensely, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend coming here if you have any pains that have anything to do with alignment. OHHHH and Dr Hudson is the baby whisperer for infant, toddler, and children! She offers chiro care for children! She's amazing! I have not brought in my own children (didn't think they needed it but after reading how it could help them I think I will!) but have seen her with her clients and she's honestly so gentle and kind and has the BEST energy! I have been trying for three weeks now to get a simple statement showing my payments to MFCC for FSA substantiation and just now received an email bounceback that their office is closed all week. Firstly, it's impossible to reach the front desk - voicemail only. Then they call you back from an unlisted number, so it's impossible to know who is calling. Argh. Then, the doctor requires that you submit new patient paperwork via email for her to review before you are allowed to make an appointment. The reason given is that she might decide she doesn't think you fit in her practice. It then takes a week to hear back after emailing over the paperwork. after which, you need to follow up with them, if you want an appointment. No courtesy call the day before to remind you there's an appointment, so you call to see what's doing there and have to let it ring out and call again. Receptionist answers finally and confirms yes, you do have an appointment. You arrive 10 minutes early, then wait until 25 mins past the start of your appointment time to speak with the Doctor. The Doctor is thorough and nice (if quite defensive about being called out for being so late). Attempts by staff to draw blood - the student MA's attempt is painful and she aborts mission. (Bruise is already looking pretty gnarly) Bring in the senior tech to have a go at the other arm - who can't find a vein and aborts mission after digging around for a bit. At this stage, I've been at their office for 1 Hr 40 mins. They tell me they will write a script to go to a lab and have blood drawn. Knowing my personal compliance level to find the time to drive to yet another appointment is very low, tell them not to bother. Needless to say, despite friendly student medical assistant and thorough/friendly Doctor, I'm still in the market for a new GP. A busy schedule, low tolerance for being gratuitously poked with needles and a general aversion to waiting = this probably isn't the right place for me.

When I was a teenager my mother went to go see Dr. Dan at Beaverton family chiropractic and was…read moreactively encouraged by Dr. Dan to stop taking her epilepsy medication as it would be unnecessary with his services. Those services being cracking her back and neck. My mother, not knowing any better, trusted a "medical professional" into stopping her life saving medication because she was told to by Dr. Dan. I was physically in the room and heard him tell my mom this. As a teenager I wish I had known better as it would've prevented my mother from having a grand Mal seizure. My mother had been, at that point, seizure free for 12 years due to actively taking her epilepsy medication. My mother was provided hope from Dr. Dan that she would be seizure free, without taking medication, by regularly seeing him as the medication was causing subluxation in her body. Subluxation, as he defined, was toxins spreading in her body that were exacerbated by the medication that she was on that prevented her from having seizures. In addition to encouraging my mother to stop taking her medication, he also worked on my moms back and shoulder an hour after getting into a car accident without obtaining any form of imaging (x-ray, MRI). Not only was this incredibly dangerous, but this is the reason why she still has back/ shoulder pain. Lastly, as if his abuse of my mother wasn't enough, he actively criticized my mother for allowing me to be vaccinated and attempted to encourage her to not follow actual doctors medical advice. He would also show, in his office, fake clips about vaccinations and encourage patrons to not vaccinate their children. He has no medical background around vaccines that give him any authority on the matter. Highly recommend to seek other forms of care as Dr.Dan has exhibited a pattern of following his own ego than actual medical practices that benefit and promote health/ wellness.

What is our recourse in this situation?…read more For years we had been a patient at Beaverton Family Chiropractor, but Dan who was our Chiropractor, personnal friend and owner sadly passed and his business was sold by his wife to another Chiropractor and at that time we were given a choice whether to continue or not and they would reimbursement us for all the therapy we had paid for in advance (which is hundreds). They owe us a lot of money, and after many calls that went straight to voicemail, leaving many messages to call us back, attempting to get our money back. Finally, we used another phone, and because I believe they didn't recognize the number, they picked up only to tell us to get a lawyer, and they wouldn't discuss it any further with us. What kind of business does that?
