My husband is a Type A planner and his need to plan and research went too far this time. He was still in the research phase of finding a CPA with only three weeks to go until the annual deadline. Lucky for us this office was able to fit us in for an appointment the same week my husband called. We met with Larry for an hour and went over all of the information that would be needed for our filing. He was very friendly and gave us the confidence we were missing at the chain tax preparation company. Our documents were ready for signatures in less than a week. The fee for preparation was around the same as the chain place, but with much better service.

The owner refused to help in any way, stating that my taxes are no longer her responsibility. This is not only frustrating but completely unethical. If you make a mistake on a client's return, you have a responsibility to help them fix it, especially when they paid you for a professional service. I had a phone conversation with her which went really well. Had a good feeling about her. She seemed like a really nice professional women. Long story short she needed some statements from my bank account and credit card account business account. I sent all of those to her never heard anything back from her which as a potential Client ghosting somebody after they just gave bank statements then ghost them is not a good feeling. This puts a lot of worry on us business owners maybe it's a scam oh my gosh, she has my information, etc.. I text her on multiple occasions to get in touch. She's ignoring me.
