The pros: they are extremely reliable, show up on time, do exactly what they promise they'll do, the place always looks great afterwards. The cons: you have to negotiate each "extra" item, for example taking out the trash/recycling and replacing with new bags. Even after negotiation, they won't touch dishes, even to put in the dishwasher. Suzy Q did an excellent job deep cleaning our house. We have two kids, a dog and two guinea pigs and our house was spotless, totally devoid of any animal fur. My apartment was an absolute disaster when I was ready to move. Not only did they get someone out to my apartment in less than 24 hours (I think it was actually like 6 hours from when I called), they made my apartment look brand spanking new. They did a great job cleaning my house. The ladies didn't need much direction and listened to my requests without any problem in communication. Setting up the appointment went really well too and the rep I spoke with was very friendly and professional. The only problem I had was with the integrity of the cleaners themselves which is why I'm giving them 3 stars. I got a call from the rep asking for more specific directions at 12:25 because they were having difficulty finding my house. I got off the phone at about 12:30 with the rep, they arrived at 12:40, and began cleaning at 12:45 (after I showed them what needed cleaning). They got to the front door completing their work at 4:45 (4 hours later). I got an email saying I owe them for 5 hours of work at about 4:40. I called the rep and asked how that is possible when there was record of them not showing up until after 12:30. She put me on hold for a few minutes to call the ladies standing outside of my house and then got back with me saying they weren't finished and were still cleaning/checking over their work. I didn't argue and gave them a check for 5 hours of work, expecting them to be there for another hour finishing up. From 4:45 to 4:55 (the time it took me to talk to the rep and confirm payment) they weren't cleaning, they were putting their supplies in their car and ringing my door bell (their way of asking for the check?). My wife just got home and was watching everything over the last 20 minutes while I was talking on the phone. As soon as I handed them the check they left at 4:55. I immediately called the rep back telling her what happened. She apologized and told me to have a new check waiting totaling 4 hours of work. The rep called the ladies and had them turn back around to exchange checks reflecting the correct amount of hours worked. I have no problem paying for services rendered but I think the conversation between the cleaners and the rep wasn't honest. Regardless, I shouldn't be charged an extra hour for 5-10 minutes of them gathering their things and getting ready to leave. Thankfully, I was there the entire time monitoring the work done and had records stamping time frames. Mel, the rep I spoke with, was very professional and was a witness to the recorded time stamps, confirming 4 hours of service. Again, the cleaners did a great job on the house. Zero complaints! Just a word of caution, though, be sure you are there and available to monitor the amount of time spent cleaning. This is the second company I have hired with a similar problem and am starting to see a pattern form. read more

I'm pretty impressed with Susan Q cleaning. They came to our house for a deep clean with oven cleaning added on. They were right on time. For the first couple of hours they worked really hard. A supervisor showed up and had them go back over some of their work. She also stayed helping them do the job. I bumped them to 4 stars because I feel like they slacked off a little in the kitchen. The vent hood was not completely clean, neither was the back splash behind the oven or sink. They also took our dog water cup and threw it in the bottom of the dishwasher full of clean dishes. When they were leaving they did not go through the house and ask if there was anything I wanted them to touch back up on. They mopped to the front door and yelled bye. I wouldn't mind having Andrea and Gloria come back again. If just make sure to go over their work before they leave. read more

In the meantime, however, I found the crew did an even poorer job than I initially thought. None of my cabinets, shelves, or drawers were touched in the slightest. What a joke for a "deep clean." Susy Q Cleaning definitely needs to address the accuracy of their service offerings. I will say that the sales/customer service person I dealt with, Mel, was great. I give this place 5 stars! Just awesome, I hired them to do a deep cleaning on my mother house. My mother is almost 70 and I just didn't want her to be sweeping and mopping floors or doing anything that could aggravate her back issues. They came in at 3pm didn't leave until 6, extremely reasonable pricing. The ladies were so kind to my mother and worked with her to give her exactly what she wanted. I love the deep cleaning so much that I am commissioning them to come back once a week for the regular cleaning. Money well spent! Another awesome plus is that they put on these booties to cover their shoes so they don't track any additional dirt into the house. Very good experience. read more

Hey Fellow Yelpers, Not enough chaos and confusion in your very hectic and busy schedule? Give Suzy Q Cleaning a call. They will give you uber-chaos! They will promise to send a supervisor out on their first visit to ensure the job goes well, but they won't. They will promise to send a supervisor and "one lady" out to clean a few items missed by the original crew who had no supervision, but they will send out three (3) ladies who speak no English, who will sit on your front porch, use their cell phones, go back and forth to their car, and generally hang out for over thirty (30) minutes while waiting for a supervisor. (Having three (3) ladies wandering around the front of your house is kinda' embarrassing, but makes a great show for the neighbors). Finally, after you call to complain about the situation, they will not return your phone calls. I'll give Suzy Q Cleaning five stars for incompetence, broken commitments, embarrassment in front of my neighbors, and general staff mismanagement! Oh, and thanks Suzy Q Cleaning for all the chaos and confusion. I needed more of that in my life. Much appreciated. Five stars!!!!! Update and Fact Corrections to Owner, Dalia B.'s, Reply Comments: 1) I NEVER stated to any person at Suzy Q Cleaning, at any time, that I was a "hard customer to please" as you claim. Nice spin though, since it makes me look like a difficult customer. 2) I did NOT have the opportunity to "check the job at the end" as you state, since your crew left abruptly without giving me that opportunity. (Also, leaving without addressing all the items we had agreed upon.) If you thought everything went so well, why did you send a second crew to finish the job the next day - even though that was a very weird adventure, as noted in my original post? 3) Please keep my payment for the 1.5 hours of "custom cleaning", as you put it. Although, I don't think vacuuming carpet in only 3 rooms, vacuuming/dusting a few upholstered items, moping a tile kitchen floor, cleaning a microwave, and wiping off some wall smudge marks from my dog qualifies as "custom cleaning." Go team #7! I've been down sick for several months and my house was a disaster. Just freakin' depressing. We're talking no dusting (in Texas!), no vacuuming, no wiping down the blinds, nothing for six months. I definitely needed more than a "once over". I shopped around looking for a service that offers a deep cleaning deal (not all maid services do) and found Suzy Q. I found the level of thoroughness to be well worth the price. The crew was polite and helpful and the office was easy to reach and accommodating. The crew repeatedly offered to walk through the house with me, which I saw as a good sign they were confident in their work. They had every reason to be. Even the door frames were all wiped down! And the toilet paper and tissues were folded in fun designs. Okay, maybe I'm the only one who gets a kick of stuff like that . . . but, hey, sometimes it's the little things! One of my bathtubs wouldn't drain (my house suffers from problem pipes) and not only did they manage (somehow?!) to get the tub clean (must have been a hassle, sorry ladies!), but they called to tell me about the clogged pipes. Having a clean house is like therapy. Hmm . . . maybe the insurance company will pay for it?! Lol! But seriously, they did a great job and I'm glad I called. read more

Definitely worth a five star!!! First of all they have THE BEST work ethic! Responded to my quote request promptly and arranged the free estimate ASAP. Also followed up via emails (Emma) very timely, which means THEY DO CARE MY BUSINESS! On the cleaning day (yesterday), two nice cleaner ladies showed up earlier than the schedule appointment time but they just waited in the car patiently. They did a wonderful job during the 4 whole hours (I checked everything after they left and I was pretty satisfied!) This was the worst cleaning service I have ever hired. I scheduled a move-in cleaning in an empty house so the main things that needed cleaning were the floors and cabinets which did not appear to have even been touched. The floors and stairs still had dust from being vacant for a while and there was even a spider in the corner. The kitchen cabinets had hair in them which had not been there before. The price was pretty steep which would have been worth it if the house had been cleaned properly. While the email said that they would be willing to re-do missed areas, I ending up cleaning the house myself as I had family coming the next day. I would definitely never hire them again and would advise others to save their money and go with another company. read more
