Ever play the game, never have I ever? Never have I ever been to a music box store! BUT I am so thankful we ran across this place! Imagine a store of every type of music box collection you can think of all under one roof?! Thats this place, so strategically placed there are oodles and oodles if different style, sizes and types of music boxes. Can't come to the store, no problem order online!!! Unfortunately I came right before Thanksgiving and right after Halloween and the día de los muertos Inventory was gone... except a few ornaments. Christmas theme, they have you covered! They were offering a black Friday specials as well but none of us were going to be in town, as we all traveled to visit the cafe down the street and then took a stroll. You can tell they strive for excellent customer service and were just so excited about the inventory they keep in stock that some of the batteries had gone dead. It is so refreshing seeing people LOVE what they are doing and selling, it is a completely different feeling they heading to a normal store to shop. I wish we had more time to browse and shop, but we were on a time crunch as us girl cousins drifted off for a few hours and left the hungry men at home. I would definitely come back and will be checking their inventory online! If you are nearby give this place a look at and compared to other retailers selling music boxes, it won't compare to the tailored professional and happy service these two provide you as soon as you step inside. read more

We found this amazing gem of a store as we were walking around Sutter Creek. It was the only store still open on the Main Street after 5:00 pm. Mark is fantastic and despite other reviews they all wore masks. We found some really hard to find Snow White and Snow Prince items in their collection of amazingness. We reside and were in Downtown Sutter Creek the other day and stopped at Sutter Creek Music Box Company on Main St. Before entering we noted nice signage in front of the Music Box Company requiring a mask in the store due to Covid-19 CDPH requirements. That was the good news. Now for the bad news. A woman, likely and employee was vacuuming the store with no mask on. Kind of foolish and in direct violation of their own policy. Delightful store, delightful owners!!! Beautiful unique special items. I do quite a bit of my Christmas and event shopping here - they have a curio box in the back side room with the sale items and have wonderful collectibles. I myself do not collect but I do so love the unique snow globes and specialty musical items which I purchase for friends and family. They also wrap for you free of charge!!!!! So, "Doctor" Mark is my new hero. My daughter has had a stuffed giraffe from Target since she was about 8 months old and the crappy music box in it snapped. No one in Sacramento was willing to work on it (yes, I know it was just a $19.99 piece of fabric from Target, but we don't throw things away in this family) so I found these guys a bit of a drive from Elk Grove. He managed to dominate all of the crazy inner welds, work with the special mechanism in the neck that made it sway back and forth and get the new box (same music) installed. So now my daughter has her favorite toy back with the same music and talks about taking "Sophie" to the "Doctor" at the snow globe store :) read more

I can't say enough about how kind, amazing, and hardworking the owners are! My grandma had a music box at her house for as long as I could remember and it was one of my favorite memories of her. When she passed away a few years ago the music box stopped playing and I was worried I wouldn't hear the song again. My family lives near the area and I decided to see if they could fix the music box. Unfortunately the music box never had a cover on it, so it wasn't in the greatest condition. The owner worked so hard and did everything he could to try and fix it for me but it wouldn't play. Most people would leave it at that, but the owner tried to find the song and a replacement music box for me. The original music box didn't have a name, so I had no idea what the song was. We were able to figure it out and he played the song for me over the phone. I almost cried hearing that song again. I know it is something small, but Mark took the time to make sure I would hear that song again. These people love what they do and care about their customers. I will gladly come to them again if I ever have any more music box questions. Plus they have some of the coolest music boxes I have ever seen. 10/10 I will always recommend them! read more

This place has a variety of beautiful products that are just magical. They have everything for every occasion. And what's even better is the service given by the sweet, humble couple that own the shop. They are more than welcome to help you find anything you're looking for, and show you around. Orders over the phone and online are very efficient. From my experience, the order ships out and arrives within 2-3 days. I do suggest, however, to follow up with a phone call just to make sure the order is correct, and also, most likely, the person you'll talk to is very sweet. The prices are reasonable and definitely worth the quality of the product. I was very pleased with all of my orders and I would definitely recommend this place and buy from here over and over again. If you ever visit the store, you should definitely check out the awesome futuristic clocks! OH, and keep in mind that the only products that allow customized music are the Irish Jewelry Boxes.
