I was at Marin General on a Monday to pickup some x-rays…read more I found parking right away, and it was near the lobby. I saw that the entrance doors open outward, which seemed to be a problem for some people. The reception gave me directions, and I found Radiology quickly. X-Ray staff were super friendly and helpful. Very nice waiting area, plenty of seating. Overall, I much improved experience at Marin General @ 250 Bon Air Rd.

When I questioned the front desk girl (who looked about 12 years old) she finally told me she would ask a nurse why I was there so long. The waiting room filled up three whole times and completely emptied out. Three times! I was the only one there still after three full rooms of people came and went. So, I asked the young kid at the desk again, after she promised she would ask a nurse as to what the incredibly long wait was about. A man came out of the back room and began berating me for asking about the times. Yelling with his arms swinging around, totally unprofessional and talking down to me with some B.S. street talk, like I was On the corner trying to buy a stolen watch or something. I just had to leave. No respectable human would sit there after that idiot came out and yelled at you. I still haven't had my eye treated, I just left there and I'll have to go in the morning elsewhere. I will be calling those ignorant whack jobs supervisors tomorrow. I'm not a complainer and I kept my cool the whole time, even when I left. Do yourselves a favor and never step foot in this bucket of crap. This place should really hire folks who have an I.Q. higher than the common house fly. The staff were cursing and the gals at the desk just sat and flirted with the security guys all day. I can't believe this place is a hospital and even exist. Someone should get this behavior on film and definitely document how they treat patients. Don't go there for any reason! You've been warned- swim at your own risk in that filth. If you do go there , you will be worse off when you leave than before. I've never seen a medical facility with such low reviews on Google and yelp. How is this place even in operation? The The folks that run the front should be fired immediately and the doctors should be ashamed of themselves for having such low life's represent them. Also, I'm curious why the "Community R" on yelp here who is responding and representing the hospital, only replies to the good 5 star reviews. All of the poor reviews on here, which are way more than good ones, they aren't responding to. I dare you- respond to my review, but I know you won't. Because you're guilty of neglect at this facility and you have absolutely no defense. Guilty folks always hide.

She insisted it's a $100 co pay out of $300 visit. Though it says on my insurance card and her paperwork that it's $40 per visit. Spoiled (when I called the insurance they confirmed that it was $40) I was wandering why hospitals and emergency rooms always have a lot of bad reviews, now I get it when u don't feel your best you don't want to wastes all that time sitting there feeling worse and worse whilst people don't do their job well. And yes we are all humans and can make mistakes but when I feel bad I really don't care, I want help and I want it fast. (That's why it's URGENT, right? First of all, I got there at 9:40 am, to read on the door that they are having a meeting until 10, ok I waited. At 10 entered the first one. It took them 45 minutes after I filled out the paperwork to tell me about this co pay calc. After I asked clarification- the lady started pushing on me -just let me know if you are staying in or no. Yes, how about u told be that wonderful math of yours not after I wanted that long while feeling like crap? What did the doctor do for 45 min? There were no patients before me. Frankly if I knew, I'd gone to the wonderful Sutter emergency room and would be cracking jokes with the lovely doctors by that time. Bad service, not timely not Urgent care, unqualified employees, no compassion. Maybe you guys shouldn't be doing what you doing, if that is not your calling? Last improve suggestion to the receptionist- maybe work on your accent it's really hard to understand your English.

If you live in Marin and your primary care doctor is with the Sutter system, it might seem like a better idea to go to a hospital where they can access your records--which Marin General cannot. Their computers cannot communicate w/ the Sutter System. I recently made the mistake of requesting Novato Community over pressing for 911 to take me into the city for Pacific Campus. BIG MISTAKE. The ER personnel and the hospitalist on duty were all openly hostile. Hey! I can't help it if I have a lymphoma which from time to time make breathing difficult to impossible. I am also mobility impaired w/ multiple medical challenges and have been hospitalized 3 - 5 days out each of the last 6 months. So I know the drill. The best practices these days call for getting thee patient stabile and comfortable before hitting them with endless standard operating procedure questions. Unfortunately, way out there in the boondocks, Novato Community hasn't heard bout best practices and are determined to harass patients with moronic surveys and heaven-knows-what BEFORE they will allow anything for pain control. Novato Community firmly believes their bureaucratic procedures have a higher priority than patient care. It is all about "This is how we do it here." If you resist, they withhold your pain meds. These are not good people. In short, admission was an extended nightmare that took over 8 hours! There is no excuse for such inhumane treatment. If you are a Sutter patient, insist that 911 take you to a Sutter hospital in the city.

I am having a lot of pain with my implants which makes the idea of enduring the pressing plates terrifying. My technician was really gentle, took the time to position me so I wasn't straining too much, and she got the images needed. When you tell people you're in pain/hurting and they make accommodations for you, that kind of compassion is wonderful. Vaccinations. Have to. I need to do a number of vaccinations (Over50, you need the two part shingles vaccine) the vaccination nurse helped me space out my vaccines so I didn't feel like I got ran over by a truck that night. She made sure I was well informed what was ordered that I was getting, why, and how often I would need to repeat if at all. Sore arms, going back for more, really pleasant and informative appointment. Kaiser Marin takes some getting used to. Kaiser Daly City, South City, and San Francisco have it down. Obviously my vibe vibes with theirs. Kaiser Marin - different locations, the style of the doctors, nurses, and technicians. But on the whole, it's been good. I had one really terrible experience with a really unprofessional, rude, cruel surgeon a few years ago. Everyone else has been great. I am really happy. Fiver.

Choosing a place to care for your loved ones after a traumatic experience can be overwhelming for…read morethe family. My daughter was severely injured in an auto accident back in Jun 2025. After stays in the ICU, she was transferred to Kentfield Long Term Acute Care hospital in Marin the first week of July. With no experience of what to expect, we were terrified. She arrived late in the day at shift change and the staff/ intake nurse (Alexis) was so caring. She was about to finish up her 12 hour shift but decided to stay and finish with admitting my daughter and getting her all set for her extended hospital stay at Kentfield. She stayed at Kentfield for about 5 months. The care she received was nothing short of amazing. Her journey to recovery was jumped started there. When she arrived at Kentfield she was still sedated and in an unresponsive condition. She was on oxygen, Traec, feeding tube, in c-collar and back brace and had to wear a helmet when out of bed. Even though she was not able to actively participate in PT, OT and SP therapy, the therapists were there 6 days a week to ensure she received critical care. By end of July, she had began to track and started speaking. She regained controlled movement but was limited on her left side due to the stroke she had suffered during the accident and was finally able to participate in the recovery process. The exceptional care and assistance received from the Doctors, Nurses, CNAs, Wound care, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Respiratory Therapists, Unit Clerks, Kitchen Staff, and House Keeping staff were just amazing. The location of Kentfield hospital provided a safe and relaxing environment for patients and their families. And although we know she has a long road ahead the care she received at Kentfield jumped started her road to recovery and prepared her for the next level of care at an Acute Rehabilitation Center.
