12.06.25 Was really excited to check this lot out when Hubs said they had my go-to varietal of tree...the spacey-branched silver tip. So driving up and seeing how many they had was super promising! We walked in, were greeted by a few of the workers offering their help when we find some etching we liked, and we went a searching. Let me say, they had a LOT of good looking trees! So why the 2-star rating? Well, we were greatly disappointed to see that NONE of the trees were being kept in any water! We'd touch the branches and needles, and some seemed aite, but all we kept thinking was, will this tree last till the New Year? We're a house that keeps the Xmas decor up through the first week of Jan before taking it all down. So that would mean an entire month, if not slightly more, for us needing the tree to last. And with them not being kept in water, we wondered how 'dead' they might already be. I braved to ask a worker how long have they had those trees, and couldn't believe he said for "maybe a week or so". I then made the comment/question of "and you don't keep them in any water?" He shook his head no and honestly, that made up Hubs' mind right then & there. I honestly couldn't believe these trees had already not been in water for that amount of time. If you Google, fresh cut Christmas trees only last 6-8hrs without water before they can no longer drink water. And they need the water to last 4-5 weeks! So, although many, many people do purchase from this lot year after year, I'm not sure how long their trees are lasting. On the plus side, their prices were fantastic!! But we just couldn't bring ourselves to buy even with those prices while having the thought of buying a tree that possibly was already partially dead and wouldn't drink water again. If Sutton's would 'splurge' on buckets or SOMETHING to keep those amazing trees in water on the lot, I'd consider giving them our business. So here, you may be getting what you pay for. Still wish Sutton's all the best and a Merry Christmas!! read more

Good selection of Silver Tip, Noble Fir and others. Maximum size seems to be around 10 feet for most. I saw one large Silver Tip (12-14 feet?) for $200. Prices are lower than most other lots $11 a ft for Noble. Also they have flocked trees, and you can select a tree and get it flocked. $5 for Netting. They have stands for sale. Cash and local checks only. They will help load and tie it on to the vehicle. read more

Little selection, trees were $90 for a 6 ft tree, and they were charging $5 for netting.

This was our first time getting a tree from Sutton's. The selection was varied in size and tree type and they had plenty of silver tips! The prices of the trees were very affordable, especially compared to Bambi's Christmas trees. The customer service was great! We didn't know they were cash only until after we picked out a tree, but they were more than happy to put the tree aside for us while we went to the bank. They flock trees as well. The only downside was that our tree wasn't as fresh as we hoped. But we did visit at the end of a weekend, so perhaps they just had less options by then. read more

Very friendly and very helpful location. We purchased one and then after five days it was falling apart. I returned to the lot and they were very helpful and very apologetic and replace my tree at no charge. If we choose to go with the tree next year we will return to this lot. Absolute love this place. The best prices and most importantly the best customer service and customer experience ever. The trees are nicely spread out and each one is perfectly picked. Place is not crowded, and the workers are super friendly. We bought a perfect tree and when we brought it home it was too tall and did not fit. Brought it back and they happily exchanged it for another and even apologized for us having to come back. Super amazing place. The prices are very good for very good looking trees. This year I went to get my tree and there was no Christmas tree lot there! I was so disappointed, until I saw from Yelp there is a Rocklin Sutton's Christmas tree lot. I'm so happy!
