I had been a loyal patron of Suwanee Dental for years, but my recent experience has left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. I feel compelled to share my story, as the priority seems to have shifted from patient care to maximizing revenue, with the representatives displaying an alarming level of rudeness and indifference. A few years ago, I took my daughter to Suwanee Dental for a minor treatment, expecting the same exceptional care and empathy that had characterized our previous visits. However, what we encountered was a stark departure from our prior experiences. Instead of genuine concern for our well-being, the focus seemed to be solely on upselling various services to extract as much money as possible from us. I distinctly remember expressing my financial constraints, mentioning that I was living paycheck to paycheck. It was disheartening to see that our financial circumstances were of no concern to the representatives. Their relentless pursuit of profit made me feel as though I were nothing more than a dollar sign in their ledger. The soullessness of their approach was deeply disconcerting. What makes this situation even more disappointing is the stark contrast between the Suwanee Dental I once knew and this new corporate entity. The previous dental office was a paragon of excellence, characterized by compassionate care and a genuine desire to improve patients' oral health. My wife and I have an appointment today May 1, 2019 at Suwanee Dental Care. Our experience today can be best described as very displeasing. We went to this dental office for a free consultation. First, we requested that they send out the new patient paperwork via email two weeks before the appointment. That did not occur. The new patient paperwork was extremely to long. The paperwork focuses more on medical health than dental issues. Our VA medical doctor does not request this must information as patients. Secondly, after completing this paperwork we were given an office tour that was not needed. We did not come to tour the building. Thirdly, we provide current copies of both of our x-rays but was told that my wife still needs to pay $201.00 for an 3D CT scan. This was surprising because we have done several free consultations before were the 3D CT scan were performed free, especially when we have the 2D x-rays. We were very confrontable with our dialog with Dr. Chad Schalk, DMD. We believed that he was the right dentist that we needed because he explained our situation in the right matter. He kept it very simple. The problem mainly occurs after the Dr, left the office. The missing understanding was that my wife would need to pay an additional $89.00 more for an exam before being seen by a dentist and I would also need to pay an additional $89.00 for an exam before being seen. This information was nowhere on their website for free consultation. We did receive a treatment care plan for my wife which was not accurate because she was not seen by the dentist. It did not include all the work that is needed. We were disappointed with this experience. A three hours of waste time. We requested a copy of the 3D CT scan since they charge us $201.00. We had to wait 45 minutes before we could receive that. We believe that this office has the right dentists to perform the work, but the protocol procedure is very bad. We did not receive a free consultation. This was not what we expected. read more

Long term partner to dental excellence... My wife and I moved to Duluth during 2004 and were introduced to Dr. Williams and Suwanee Dental Care through the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. We have been very satisfied patients since then. I had several crowns replaced and installed, and a root canal procedure - these were done without any discomfort or pain. One can tell that the every member of the team loves the office and is passionate about their work and about doing it well. Two crowns that they replaced were my very front teeth (upper ones) - the work that they performed has given me confidence to smile BIG again. The hygiene team knows my wife and me by name. We visit regularly and they have helped me come up with plans that promote gum health and reduce pocket depths in some tricky areas. I have come to learn that this achievement is good for even my overall health and well-being. I am happy to pay out of pocket for what insurance does not cover because of the thorough work that they do. On a side note, a clerical error on a bill was fixed right away. Every visit to the office is pain-free and I can tell that the team is eager to learn and know the latest and greatest developments in the industry. They use state of the art technology there to make sure that my visit is as enjoyable as it possibly can be - in fact, I now look forward to going over there again for my next visit! read more

Most people dread going to the dentist. Not me. At Suwanee Dental Care, everyone is over-the-top friendly. Dr. Smith and his assistant Amanda are as concerned with my life as they are with my teeth (ok, maybe not as much). Dr. Smith and I talk about sports, and Amanda and I ask about each other's kids. Lena, my dental hygenist, is super-nice, and we talk about our kids and church. Even though I see these perople once every 6 months or so, I feel like we're all friends. And its the same people every time! That's important to me ... nothing worse than going to get a filling by some mean person you've never met before. Ugh! Never again. Oh, and the dental care is great too! Haha. When I first went (6-7 years ago), ginigivitis was starting to rear its ugly head, as I have a family history of gum disease. Dr. Smith has been able to keep that in check, and I have not had any issues since. He is always willing to discuss options and give you his reccomendation, and Amanda can give estimates as to what she thinks insurance will pay, etc. You don't ever feel forced into doing something that you're not sure about. And I highly reccomend the oral cancer screening ... peace of mind. Honestly, nobody loves going to the dentist ... but if you have to go, it might as well be a pleasurable experience. read more

I first meet Dr. Majdi at the Free Dental Care day which only occurs every once a year. Attending this event gave me the great pleasure to meet such a warmhearted and remarkable person, Dr. Majdi. She generously offered her total dedication to give me that perfect smile I have always dreamed of. All her hard work and dedication took place at Swuanee Dental Care. Every visit with Dr. Majdi was a success! Seeing the results after every visit was amazing the feeling of being able to be so close to having that perfect smile was unbelievable. Dr. Majdi and her work is a great blessing which my family and myself will forever be grateful for. Everything she did for me willingly was incredible. Hi Everyone: Just wanted to share my wonderful experience with all of you from yesterday and today. I literally walked into my dentist's office yesterday with my very front right tooth in my hand because it had broken off to the gum level the night before and I went back to his office today and had my same tooth used to make a temporary implant. This is just absolutely amazing to me and my dentist is the greatest dentist ever, Dr. William Williams at Suwanee Dental Care in Suwanee, GA. Dr. Williams was able to pull the rest of my tooth that was left in my gum and then use my actual tooth that broke off as a temporary for my "One Day" Implant. I couldn't believe I was getting an Implant in "One Day". He was so gentle and so wonderful all the way through the surgery and I am just thrilled over the outcome. It looks just like it did before anything happened. I go back in 4 weeks to get the real implant and I am done. Dentistry has really made magnificent strides and I am so happy that I have found Dr. Williams and his expertise. Shout out to Dr. Williams from me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Wow! I was really surprised to see the other reviews on here, as I have been using this dentist for years and have never had anything but fabulous service from them. I actually drive almost two hours to get here, as they have the best service I have found. Yes, they do cost a little more than your average dentist, but that is because they provide services that most dental offices don't and they do it in a more timely manner. I had a crown and root canal done all in one visit. They even made the crown right there in the office, so I didn't have to wear a temporary and come back later. They also believe that dentistry should be pain-free, and work to be sure that happens. After having many painful dental visits at other places, this one was recommended to me, and I have never gone anywhere else since. I always get a written estimate before any work is done, including estimates of my cost, and what the insurance will or will not cover. They even work with me to determine what is the most urgent work, and what can wait a little. I love the dentists, and the hygienists and office staff are wonderful! read more

I really have had a lot of hang-ups over the years about going to the dentist. In honesty I have never been able to afford it. And so little by little, my teeth began to fall out, turn colors, get infected, crack and cause lots of problems and insecurities. Suwanee Dental took me in and made me feel very at home and comfortable. They picked me in a contest to win a full mouth make-over and right now I am almost finished with the whole process. I have had multiple extractions, whitening, cleaning, polishing, bridges, crowns and implants!! It was so much easier than I could ever have imagined. Dr. Williams was very easy going and used state of the art techniques and equipment as well as sedation dentistry, Alot of my work happened all in one day!! Recovery has been amazing. The whole staff at Suwanee dental has just been so sweet and I have truely been blessed to have such wonderful dentists who care so much and take all the fear out of dentistry. My family and I have been patients of Dr Williams for over 10 years. Dr Williams is a very talented dentist who is also extremely caring and patient. After any treatment other than routine procedures, he personally calls me at my home to make sure that everything is okay. He removed all four of my wisdom teeth at the same time and I experienced very little pain or discomfort. He installed my porcelain veneers . The process was painless and progressed without any unforeseen issues. I was very nervous about the procedure but he was patient and took the time to explain each step of the process. The results were beautiful. However, after a couple of weeks, Dr Williams was happy to make modifications because they didn't "feel" perfect to me. He and his staff were very accommodating to my hectic travel schedule. The procedure was expensive but the quality and overall value was well worth the cost. Dr. Williams and his staff are the best! I have nothing but the highest regards for their services, and Dr. William's ability as a dentist. He is one of the few that can "do it all" right in his office without referring patients out to other "specialists". Dr. Williams replaced all of the crowns on my upper teeth that had been done close to 20 years earlier. He suggested that he raise the gum line using a laser, which was painless, and it improved the quality of my smile tremendously. Having spent several hours in his chair, I know first hand of the sensitivity with which Dr. Williams treat his patients and the excellent results of his work. Suwanee Dental offers great dental care and my experience to date has been very positive. My hygienist Beth is the best! I have along history of gum issues, but since Dr. Williams and Beth started treatment, all the problems are gone. The laser surgery on my gums was actually much cheaper -and more effective - than the traditional methods used my most periodontists. While their services seem pricey, the treatment is effective and before any work is done each patient is given a written detail of the anticipated work and how much is covered by insurance vs. how much will be paid by the patient. They were also quite flexible in postponing or eliminating work that I was not ready or able to pay for. In summary, going to Suwanee Dental is like going to Saks for clothes - you get top quality service and product. read more

I've been to many dentists over the years, but none with the vision and expertise of Dr. Williams and his staff. The office staff strives to make you feel at home, and the hygienists and assistants are experienced and compassionate. There is a strong emphasis on education and preventive dental care in the practice. I originally consulted Dr. Williams about Lumineers veneers. As it turned out, Lumineers weren't the right choice for me, but Dr. Williams and Suwanee Dental definitely were. My comfort level was a constant concern during all procedures, appointments were kept on time and the front desk worked me in several times on very short notice. I'm thrilled with my cosmetic result as well as with having found a dentist for life. I would recommend Dr. Williams to any and everyone without hesitation. read more

I was a patient at Suwanee Dental for 10 years and finally left in frustration. Overpriced and for the money the work is not good. My latest visit they wanted to replace a portion of my upper bridge (which they already replaced a few years ago and screwed it up) with implants and a sinus lift for $14,000. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. They only recommend the most expensive procedures and then do not stand behind their work. I switched to another dental practice that gave me acceptable lower cost options that this practice did not. The only alternative they gave me was a partial plate which was unacceptable and also pricey. read more

I agree with the others. SDC is just another poorly run dental "mill". Watch your teeth and and your wallet! Dr. William has a poor chair-side manner and got frustrated very easily. I saw them over a year ago and they won't stop calling to collect money they have already received. If you pay with cash make sure you get a receipt!!! I have been trying to get them to stop calling me even though I paid with a credit card and have showed them the receipt. If someone pays with cash they might be out of luck on proof that they paid. The office looks nice and there are some massage chairs if you are put into the second waiting room. read more

I hate going to the dentist, but I can say that Dr. Schalk makes it a lot easier. He takes the time to explain what he is going to do and he checks on how I am doing frequently. His assistant, Simona is first rate and works very well with him. I actually enjoy getting my teeth cleaned. I have had extensive dental work done and the job has been exceptional. It is perhaps a little more pricey than the average dental experience, but you get what you pay for. They are very upfront about how much insurance will cover and how much you will owe before the work is done- so there are no surprises. read more

I went to this practice for over 10 years and finally left after spending a small fortune on my wife and myself. They are terribly overpriced and their work is no better than any other dental practice. Only the most expensive procedures are recommended without acceptable alternatives given. We found another practice that is much more reasonably priced and gives discounts to those without dental insurance rather than gouging their customers and charging full price to those who do not have insurance. read more

If you are looking for a long term relationship with an extremely skilled staff to address all your dental needs, this is the place.
