I love Suzie's Grill because you don't have to waste money on food you don't want. Sometimes you just want a sandwich or a burger with no sides, but you're stuck paying for sides that you either take home and throw out or leave on the plate and throw out. Here, little food goes to waste! If you just want a sandwich, you get a sandwich. It's a small restaurant inside an office building and it's constantly busy with people inside and busy takeout. Sometimes that means that the service can be slow, but they are friendly. Food always tastes good. read more

We decided to try this place out because of some pretty good reviews. Upon arriving, we stood in line and told her we had 4 people. She asked if we wanted to sit in the hall.... which was outside the business itself at a table in the hallway. We said we were fine waiting. We got seated and waited to get drink orders going. Finally, we all ordered. For french toast, they charge $2.50 for each topping. So, I was charged $5 for nutella and strawberries on top of the price of the french toast. This was an interesting pricing format, but it was fine I suppose. It was quite pricey though in my opinion. We all got our food, and it was delicious. The food was good, but to be honest I am not sure if the price was worth it. I saw the bill and realized after that she actually overcharged me for french toast and rang it up as a full order instead of a half. It was already too late because I was in the car driving home and trying to figure out why it was more money than I had added up. Plus, the extra taxes did not help. Perhaps I should have listened to those that mentioned the scams of changed prices. I feel as though we were taken advantage of because they knew we were Americans. Be careful with the pricing if you are visiting Canada. We read the sign that said they take Debit Card. We informed them we were from Michigan, and they said it was fine with payments. When we finally finished eating and went up to pay, our waitress decided to tell us they can NOT take our card at all and that we must pay cash. Even though she stated they would take it when we were first seated. My sister did not have enough cash, so I paid. The waitress gave her an attitude when she told them she did not have cash and didnt know how to pay. She then said she would charge us the same, which was insane to me. So we were pretty much ripped off and additional $15 because no conversion. It was quite crazy that we were not informed of this. The food tastes great, but the price is not worth it if you are not from Canada. They tell you that you can pay with debit if you are American, and then say you can not when you go to pay. read more

Hands down my favourite breakfast spot in Windsor! I've been coming to Suzie's for just about a year and the experience is always great. Service is fast and friendly! The restaurants always packed. I've been pretty lucky and seated within minute of arriving. I've had the poached eggs, corn beef hash (omg, I could swim in the corn beef hash with my mouth open), cheese omelet, and fried eggs. Always with a side of ham and of course the shredded hash! Every time I visit Windsor, I look forward to going to Suzie's with my family. Needed a quick breakfast before leaving town and got here just in time! Sunday morning at 10am, super quick service and was seated right away and then the line started about 10:30 but looked like locals who knew the breakfast was great. The service was so nice!! They were attentive and sweet and really helpful, they made accommodation for substitutions no problem and refilled our drinks and are nice! It's so surprising to get friendly nice happy service anymore but here we did. Food was great. Fresh tasting and cooked well. My husband has the eggs Benny and I had the Greek omelette egg whites only. Both delicious can't go wrong and big portions. They also do potato shavings for hash browns and they were light and delicious, it was nice to try a new hash brown. For sure try them out! read more

I ordered the pancakes with strawberries, blueberries, pecans, and bananas and the fruit and nuts were an extra 9.25$. Lol. Which would have been worth it if the pancakes weren't dry as the Sahara desert and clearly out of a box. No flavor, no substance and average portions. The one star is for presentation. They made it look pretty. I guess looks aren't everything. It's what's inside that matters, or in this case, how it tastes. My friend ordered the veggie omelette which she enjoyed, but the side of hash browns was awful. We wanted onions in the hash browns but they just added the onions on top instead of cooking them together. Little details matter! I would recommend going to Paul's kitchen across the street tbh TL;DR: Don't order the pancakes here! read more

NOTE TO AMERICAN/FOREIGN TRAVELERS: BRING CASH because credit AND debit are not accepted here. The food was very good but slightly overpriced. Someone from your party will quite literally get held HOSTAGE until you run around town to find an ATM to pull cash. There are no signs telling you that they operate like this - until you get to the register. There is only one place in Windsor that I enjoy the food and reminds me of home: And that is Suzie's Grill. Beside the fact that the place is very clean and the staff is super nice and welcoming, the food is delicious. It feels as the chef takes the time to make it as I am a special guest. And this is a normal service provided to everyone. On my last trip i wanted smth light for lunch and tried The tuna salad fruit platter. It was amazing and i highly recommend it. A great addition to a few breakfast/lunch places around the area. This place is great. I've been here a few times now and am never disappointed. The staff is always friendly, the food is always delicious and well priced, and the service is always fast. This place also opens earlier than most of the breakfast joints around so of you're into a very early breakfast it'll work nicely. I usually get the standard breakfast (eggs, has browns, toast). They do a very good job on their hash browns . You can also get half orders of French toast or pancakes if you're craving something sweet also, which I find great since I have a hard time deciding if I want a savoury or sweet breakfast. There usually isn't a wait time but most times I've been here it's been early so it wasn't too busy. But keep in mind that the space isn't very big so I can imagine it'd get pretty crowded when busy. Most of the cafe/restaurants located within office buildings primary serve office workers within the building or buildings nearby. These small cafes usually have very simple menu like sandwiches, soup and coffee. Many of them open only on weekdays. Suzie's Grill is different, they have a full diner menu and they open on weekends. In fact ,they are very busy on weekends that usually you have to wait for a table. To be honest, their food is just average. Most of what they serve are standard diner food that you can easily made at home. However , I like their service, decor and prices. read more
