Worst customer service I've every experienced in my entire life! And to top it off I was sold used Prada glasses! Do yourself a favor and never ever come here. They are crooks! First off your not allowed to take photos of the glasses you try on so you can't get any opinion from your family members. Secondly you can't return your glasses after ordering, not even if the order hasn't been sent out yet! No satisfaction guaranteed here. I was able to take a photo after placing my order and showed my husband when he got home. Well he hated them so I went back the next day to see if I could change my order (I waited over an hour in the waiting room because they only let one person in the studio at a time.) After dealing with the doctor's daughter's attitude I was able to purchase a different frame which cost several hundred dollars less but wasn't able to get a credit back for that. I was willing to take the loss because my husband absolutely hated the others I picked out. After ordering I was told they'd take 2-3 weeks to come in. I waited over a month and never received a call to let me know my glasses were in. So Finally I called in and was told that they were in. I went to pick them up and the lady at the counter told me that they we're actually in on the 2nd of the month, today's date was the 30th, No one ever called me! I was also told that the store was closed and no one could make adjustments on them until after the 16th of next month. The lady behind the counter said they were calling everyone beforehand so they could pick theirs up before they'd be closed, we'll everyone except me. I noticed immediately that my glasses were crooked but thought I could hold out for another 2.5 weeks to get them straightened. I had already waited over a month, what's another 2.5 weeks lol. Once I got home I noticed the wear and tear on the glasses. They weren't new. They are used and full of gunk! I'm patiently waiting here in the waiting room wasting more hours of my life on this nonsense waiting to see if they'll give me any money back and my prescription so I can go elsewhere. I'm told the doctor has to sign off on the prescription, they can't just hand it to me. I think what upsets me most is his daughter's attitude throughout all of this. There seems to be many others who agree based on these other reviews. * update- I wasn't given any money back, no surprise there. The doctor claims the wear/gunk is from the tape they put on the glasses. I've never hear of an optometrist putting tape directly on the hinges of each side. How would they close?? I tried posting a video of how crooked they are, they totally rock when you place them on a table but couldn't upload. read more

I went to get my glasses last year and they took a long time to have them ready. I understand that everything was slow for the pandemic. However they gave me different dates to go pick them up and they were not ready. And when they were finally ready they change the price on me, I had to leave the extra glasses that I order because they didn't give the price right. Last week I went to pick up my contracts and of course they were not ready and they told me that I needed to pay EXTRA AGAIN because they change the price. I have been going here ever since my eyesight became noticeably different. This place was my parent's recommendation, and I have always appreciated the yearly eye exams accuracy. My prescriptions always seem effective. The wait time for glasses is typical 2-3 weeks, and even during the pandemic the person who helped me estimated a longer wait time which was helpful. Any past negative experiences from other reviews are understandable, but for me the professionalism I see at the doctor office is worth it. read more

As being a patient since 2001, today was the day I decided to no longer be a patient of dr Suzuki. I met his daughter ( which I didn't know) before the pandemic. She was very rude very pushy for a sale. Today I went in for exam under my new insurance policy from my work, ppo . She was stuck on showing me what my insurance would cover only. She didn't give me any options for other fames. She wasn't happy to give me estimates either when I asked for my RX she was very upset too. I even asked about contact lenses too, she told me very rudely that I would have to make another appointment and take class on how to use them. I would suggest dr Suzuki to co workers but I won't now. I went somewhere else found glasses I like and place order and made appointment for contact lenses too. I don't if the dr or his daughter changed policies now, the office would take down payments to start orders and pay once ready. This was not told to me at time or maybe I didn't ask either. He's losing long term patients because of his daughter. She's to be educated on business, customer service and humanity. My adult son wanted glasses for Christmas so he went to see Dr. Suzuki. After his exam he picked out a nice pair but didn't order them with anti-glare treatment. Since this was his first pair he didn't know better. I had him call the same day to add this important feature. A week later the glasses are ready but we were floored to learn they charged $170 for adding the anti-glare. That's twice as much as anybody would pay elsewhere. The most this feature should cost is $120 with $90 being the norm. Live and learn. Never Suzuki again. read more

Went today to grab my glasses and waited for 30 mins, then had to pick up my sister, and when I asked to grab them real quick I was denied. I came back at 5:03, exactly. Then when I asked if I grab the glasses, I was denied once again because it closed at 5:00. I was three minutes late. And I couldn't grab my glasses. They told me any family member can grab them tomorrow. So why couldn't I get them in the first place? I don't understand how the person at the desk can't just go grab my glasses. So infuriating. I got an eye exam because I needed a new prescription for my eye glasses and then I was sold over priced glasses that my insurance didn't cover. And after paying over $200 for my glasses they didn't even help me see any better. Seriously awful. I needed an eye exam for new glasses, and they said the only available date was Dec 24. Although that means I had to wait for three weeks, I accepted it and made an appointment. They sent confirmation text messages and I kept confirming the date and time. On the 23rd, they called and cancelled my appointment. My mother has been a patient of Dr. Suzuki's for years, & since I recently moved back to the area, I folloewd her advise to be seen in his office. The doctor is a very nice, warm, happy doctor. I felt very comfortable w/him & he answered all of my questions.. UNTILL I was sent to get glasses. The 2 women were RUDE, PUSHY, & made me feel very un welcomed! I (again thanks to my mother....) went back a few months later & was VERY PLEASED to see new staff! Had a great experience w/ the 2 new ladies & look forward to coming next year. The office is clean, the staff is always friendly, and there are no long waits like other offices I have visited in the past. Im looking into colored contacts and he said "colored contacts aren't an option for you" (because I have astigmatism). I really like Dr.Suzuki office..They have flexible hours and open five days a week which makes perfect for my bussy schedule.i enjoy walking in the office and be greeted with a smile and kindness.."Juanita" is one of my favorite staff members..she is always so nice and polite and not to mention always makes the time to help me although she's always very busy.I enjoy being a patient of that office the only thing I would change is having more bilingual personnel.i have seen patients struggle communicating with the non bilingual staff.since we all know Watsonville is mostly Latin..I feel it would be great that all the staffing would speak fluent Spanish and English.. read more

His tests are top of the line, no need to dialate the eyes, he has a machine that takes a picture of the eye and will show him the back of the eye. His staff is friendly and he is friendlier, i have been to a couple of other Eye Doctors in the 20 yrs and always seem to come back to Dr. Suzuki, no hidden costs, they tell you what the final price will be. read more
