Found the my vehicle on line. Contacted SVG in Urbana,OH and talked with Isaac just as they were closing. Isaac went the extra mile and sent me additional pictures of the vehicle. Had multiple conversations over the phone with the SVG team. I drove over 12 hrs to get the vehicle and every thing about the car was right on point. They were actually waiting for me as I drove into the parking lot. Service was quick and painless as it should be. My elderly father went to SVG to purchase a vehicle and trade in his old one. My dad went there assuming he would be treated fairly but instead, in my opinion, got taken advantage of. Adam Newman sold my dad a car at full price, along with an expensive extended warranty, and then gave him an extremely low trade in for his vehicle. When I told my dad his car was worth $28,500 on a trade in and he was only given $21,500 he was upset and said that he thought he could trust Adam because he had a Jesus wristband on. They now have his car sitting on their lot for $33,000. Tried to speak with the management about the low trade in but got lots of excuses. Trying to warn others so this doesn't happen to their elderly parents. Avoid this dealership and find one that you can trust! read more

My husband and I have been putting off buying a new car for wayyyy too long! We are serious procrastinators and now that I've retired, we spend money for sprucing up our home rather than ourselves I suppose. We both think quite the same about not really wanting to have a large car payment so we carefully considered what we were willing to spend and we planned on how much we would put as a down payment etc. We looked online( well I did) and since it was essentially going to be me driving it, I needed to voice what I'd feel most comfortable with. I didn't want a car, I did want a crv or suv but not too large. We've had two vehicles with third row seats and it's handy but wasn't necessary anymore. So I finally found a couple of vehicles I wanted to test drive and Katherine was a huge help with our process. I give all 5 stars to her because it took awhile to have to wait for everyone else to complete our decision. She had to take the proposal to "the numbers guy" Who is apparently the owner. He is also the man who likes orange because he wore a bright orange suit jacket and all of the employees are wearing orange shirts. It's a lot... but it definitely makes them stand out! Then we waited as he proposed/ we counter proposed, and he eventually came up with something we all agreed upon- all through out Katherine goes back and forth doing the footwork. I've never bought a car this way. I think the need to micromanage with these sales is something he may have a hard time with. Then onto Aaron, the last person who has you sign all of the paperwork. Who initially was busy with another soon to be debtor/ car buyer. Side note- Aaron was actually awesome and he also gets 5 stars in our book for everything! We were there at 11am, made our decision to buy in less than an hour and sat over 4 hours to do all of this. This process separately would have gotten a negative 3 star if that was possible. It seems unnecessary and definitely not a customer friendly approach. We are pleased a week later with our purchase. I'm hoping when I go for oil changes or any other needs that are covered through our Warrenty that the service staff keep up 5 stars. read more

Man of man, SVG what can I say. I am very disappointed by the experience that I had. I came to SCG because my dad got his car from SVG and he had such a great experience. Since he was treated so well, we decided to go back and get my first car from them as well. And man we couldn't have been more wrong. I ended up buying a car there, and was super happy with my SUV that I bought, but the one thing that made it bad was the fact that after driving my car for all of 4 days it sat in their lot for month. My SUV needed to get the front bumper fixed along with getting a rust protection. I dropped of my car on a Tuesday and was told that I would get it back by the weekend. They gave me a nice 2019 SUV to drive in the mean time which was nice, but even that change after about a week. That's right you read that right a WEEK. My car was not done after a week. A few more days go by and my car is still not done. I called up my dealer Ashton because I hadn't heard anything, and he told me that the paint contractor was out of town, but that it would be done that week. A few more days passed and he calls me back saying that it was still not done and that I please come back to the dealership and exchange cars for an older version. So I make my way back to the dealership to change out vehicles. He insured me then that my SUV will be done by the weekend. At this point I'm starting to get frustrated because its going on two weeks of me buying a new car that I cant even drive and enjoy. The weekend comes and I call to check on the status and Ashton once again tells me that my car has STILL not been fixed yet. At this point its been 3.5 weeks and my car was still not done. I told my dad everything that had happened when it happened and he was fed up with is as well. At this point its taking way to long for them to fix a simple bumper. So at that point we called the HQ in Dayton to tell them what is going on and that this is simply unacceptable. HQ was completely in shock and was in aware of what was happening and why my car was still not done. They made some calls and sent some emails and got the ball rolling. Or at least they thought. The manager was supposed to get back with my dad and I about the situation at their Urbana dealership. Long story short, no one ever called us. After my dad raising HELL again, the job was finally done after a month. If you go to the Urbana location, be wise with you sit down with because some are really focused while others are not. Mine was new which he admitted, but I do believe that he spent more time trying to make his commission on selling big cars than focusing on finishing the with the cars that he already sold. The last thing that I can say is that SVG gave me the worst first time buyer experience. I'm not sure that I would go back to them when its time for me to get a new car, because they did not treat me well. read more

I am very disappointed in the customer service at SVG, I wish them the best of luck in a new location and will try to continue to do business with them but so far the customer service nowhere near meets the expectations of the Urbana community after the experience we've had with Trenor motors for the last 100 years. I received a recall notice for the ignition on my 2001 Cadillac. I called SVG to inquire about about it and schedule an appointment. The woman in the shop said she would get back... that was 2-3 weeks ago. In the meantime I have found out it is a much needed repair but I will certainly never use this dealership for anything. read more

I'll never use SVG again. I leased a brand new Silverado in Oct. of '17, and was lied to from the get go. When it first started out, the conversation was all and great. I told them what price range I wanted to stay in. They told me that they could put me in the truck for less than $400/mo for a 36 mo. 36,000 low mileage lease. I agreed. Then they start running in and out of the office changing this and that, it might be a couple of dollars more /mo. but nothing terrible. $5-$10 more.When all is said and done, I agreed to what was stated, then here comes the paperwork and the fast talk bullshit, sign her, sign there, I need your drivers license...all in rapid succession to throw you off guard. Once said and done, and after a few hours of back and forth and just sitting because they are on the phone and whatever else they can do to waste your time.....the paperwork is done. Lo and behold.....it's a 39 month, 32,000 lease for more than $450/mo. Gm Financial sent me a letter stating that since the lease is getting close to being over, make an appointment to get it inspected at SVG or make another arrangement to have an inspector to come and check it out, or drive to Dayton. SVG is only 3 miles from me, so I decide to take it there. I talk to the Service manager (who must really hate his job because he acts like he's too lazy to even speak, and you're wasting his time of doing nothing) to make an appointment to get it checked out.Since he had to stand up and I was digging into his time, he told me that he didn't know anything about it and I'd have to go inside and speak with a salesman. Well I knew what was coming, so I bit the bullet and went in. I explained to them that I got a letter to get the truck inspected. As I knew, they were clueless, but here comes the schmoozing and sales pitch about how great of a looking truck it is, trying to get me to buy it, or trade it in on another new one. I politely told them no, and that I didn't like the truck. The transmission shifts erratic, GM knows there is a problem with all of them and there is no fix for it. Well after convincing them that I'm turning it in, they tell me again to talk to the service manager as to how to do it. I again explained to them that he was clueless, then all of a sudden the unwise salesman tells them that I'll have to speak with the manager. On salesman brings him out and he tells me that to get it inspected, when the lease is up, I turn everything in to SVG, THEN they will have a representative come and inspect it, then give me a call within the week to let me know what they find wrong with it. So when MY back is turned and I am no longer in possession of the vehicles, they can start telling me that this is wrong, that is wrong, and it's going to cost me so much. After I informed him that the truck WILL be inspected while it is in MY possession and before it's turned in....he looks at me and tells me "Well I don't know what to tell you then, but that's the way we do it". Luckily the letter does state that I can have it inspected at home or at work. So why doesn't SVG have any clue about that? Also I received a text a few days ago from a couple of sales people telling me that they can work up the numbers on the vehicle that I inquired about. I NEVER INQUIRED ABOUT A VEHICLE. Even if I was to buy a Silverado, or get a new Silverado......I would go to some other dealership other than SVG. Lie to me once, and I catch it....I'll never deal with you again. read more
