I can only speak on the food and just one dish so take it for what it is. Terrible pad thai. Gummy over cooked nights that were pretty flavorless. I'm not even sure what I can do to fix it the noodles are so over cooked and stuck together. I moved here in August from the Seattle area and haven't found a decent Thai place here. I live near this place and eat here all the time. Honestly, I'm surprised how empty it usually is - seems like most people just do takeout. The food is really good Thai food, so I don't get why it's not packed. Look, it's not fancy. Plain tables, no atmosphere to speak of. You'll get seated very fast and they do take out. However, I don't know if it's what I ordered I did not like it. Wasn't my taste seemed like it was super heavy on the oyster or the oil they used. Thai tea was actually pretty good, but the veggie dish I ordered had a larva of some type in it. They comped my dish, but something about a small white wriggling creature in your food just turns you off to a place. The server was nice and apologetic, so that was appreciated. read more

This place just opened and my wife and I stopped here for lunch. We ordered the pad Thai, the avocado curry and a Thai iced tea. The four star pad Thai and three star curry were so spicy hot. The taste was great but I could still feel the burn thirty miles later on the way home. This was the first time that I worried about getting old and sensitive. Swadee has become my new favorite Thai restaurant in the Tri-Cities. Having it in Pasco is an added bonus. I probably eat here at least once a week now. They have, hands down, the best thom kha in town. The kao soi is also phenomenal. I've also had tastes of many of the vegetarian dishes and been impressed by their flavors. Ugh. Not good. I ordered via Uber Eats as I'm staying in a hotel. The food showed up timely, which was good. But, I noticed the package handed to me by the driver was quite small. When I got in to the hotel, there was a container with rice and a container with the entree: there was no utensil, no plate, no napkin. Not helpful. And, the portion was quite small. Food was just "ok", but about half way through the meal (which was a real pain in the butt to eat after I had to ask the hotel for a utensil and napkin), I found a hair in my food that was about 4 inches in length. Gross. I thought perhaps it fell in from where I was sitting, but then, lo and behold lo, another smaller hair appeared that was well immersed in the entree. Sorry folks, just can't do it. No matter the quality of the food, hair in the container and the lack of utensils is an instant fail, especially going through UberEats and paying the big $$. read more

Plenty of food, flavors were there, but ... I ordered 1-star spice and my wife ordered 2-star. I would estimate that my dish was somewhere between 2-3 stars and my wife, who loves spicy food, got easily 4-star. Neither of us could eat the entrees, as a result. Brought them home to add more coconut milk to see if we can calm them down. 1 star off for that and 1 star off for service that was just ... off and for it being just a tad bit expensive for what was served. read more

My mom and I have been here a few times during the previous ownership and loved it. Tonight we had a different experience while ordering take out from inside the restaurant. My mom is vegan so she eats no animal products. We ordered the fresh rolls and asked for the shrimp to be removed. We then asked if they lower the price for removing the meat (which most places do as the meat is what costs more) the man which I'm assuming is the owner said no and my mom commented "Oh okay because some places I've been to do that" and he replied "Ha I'd love to know where they do that at". Then as we continued to order my mom asked what the difference was between 2 of the curry dishes because they seemed somewhat similar and she was referring to one of the menu items as "number 40- the yellow curry" when she was interrupted with "yeah I know what number 40 is you don't have to tell me". Also, the restaurant was completely empty except for us and it took way longer than it should have. The food itself was good but unfortunately the customer service was not. Like I said earlier I'm assuming he was the owner and if that is the case then that is pretty sad. read more

Just ordered 2 orders of Beef Pad See Ewe, no spicy, no carrots since I don't know why they put carrots, I lived in California for some time and that's how I was introduced to Pad See Ewe and it was just the beef, noodles, and Chinese broccoli. Anyway it comes with cabbage which I didn't know, portion is super small for the price. The noodles looked pale so definitely not enough sauce, flavor was ok, so I proceeded to eat it cuz I'm hungry and trying different ones around the area since I just moved from Texas in February, and then!!!! It was complete blind luck that we came in on a Friday Buffett Lunch time. Wowza! The fresh rolls were huge and delicious- there were these noodles inside that were even thinner than the thinnest sotanghon noodle and I fell in love with it! My daughter ordered the beef pho and I stole a few bites when she wasn't looking - omg yum! Best pho broth in the Tri Cities! The salad was fresh and not your boring kind of salad leaves either, very impressive. Only two salad dressings to choose from though: ranch and thousand island. I was hoping for like a Thai ginger vinaigrette or something else. There was a steady stream of people coming in at 1pm to eat at the buffet that closes at two but the dishes were sadly empty for a while as people waited. I don't think they have enough people in the kitchen or poor planning. The waitress was kind and welcoming to my family, especially my infant. That was calming as its not easy for a mommy with a very little one to eat out so she made us want to return again and again. Great food. Keep the buffet full. We ordered the tea and it was lukewarm closer to become cold. I ordered yellow curry. The soup part and rice was delicious but the vegetables were not fully done. The potatoes and carrots were hard. If the veggies were softened and the tea was hot enough, you would have gotten 5 stars. The service was okay, but I can't complain because they were only one. read more

I'm a green curry fanatic, and there's did not disappoint. It cost me $16 at dinner time, a little steeper than I'd anticipated but after I got it I understood why. The curry arrives in a large plastic container, filled to the brim with the good stuff. I was impressed by the amount of chicken and vegetables that were floating around inside, and at my request they added pineapple which made it that much more delicious. It was spiced beautifully. Not too hot, but still hot enough to not feel I wish I had asked for some hot chili oil. The shiitake mushrooms used gave it a whole new element of flavor I haven't had in other curries. read more

We really enjoyed our Mother's Day meal here. They accommodated a reservation for a large party including a toddler in a high chair. My son got antsy and wanted to run around, but the owners were pretty understanding, even playing with him at times! The food was great - I ordered a variety of dishes including 2 orders of potstickers (pork, not chicken - so I couldn't try them), 2 orders of chicken satay with peanut sauce (tasty!), avocado salad rolls (delicious and decent sized!), beef and broccoli in oyster sauce, tofu pad Thai, tilapia with panang curry, avocado green curry with chicken, pad kee mao chicken, vegetable mango fried rice, basil chicken, and laarb. (8 main dishes, 5 appetizers) It ended up being the right amount because everyone seemed to get enough, but our group of 10 adults and a 2-year-old finished everything! We also shared 3 orders of the delicious mango with sticky rice. A few things to note - the pad kee mao was spicy, but almost had two much of the chili sauce flavor which overpowered the rest of the dish flavors. The basil chicken needed a bit more basil flavor, and it was odd to have jalapeños in it. The pad Thai with tofu was very good - the tofu was full of flavor and a little bit crunchy on the ends. The mango fried rice could have had a bit more flavor, but was nice and mild, so good to mellow some of the other dishes. Then there was the dessert - simply delicious! Sweet sticky rice and mango is one of my favorites! I have been to probably close to 50 Thai restaurants (my favorite cuisine for the last 20 years), and this was up there! I'll definitely be back next time my family is in Tri Cities. It was a treat to get to bring our out-of-town relatives (mostly from the Midwest) to such a great, family-friendly place. They even had cartoons on for my son for a while! Only thing I had trouble with was getting my phone call answered... I called to see if they could accommodate a large group first, but then I had to call back after we chose a time. I actually called over 12 times before I finally got through to book the reservation. I feel pretty confident that I can handle 2 stars at a Thai restaurant, however, this was hot, like tingling lips leave the pitcher of water at the table please. If you are ever feeling cold and lonely, go get a nice hot bowl of #46 Kao Soy. When I took that first sip of the broth, my stomach had butterflies like I had just fallen in love again. As I progressed to making the perfect bite with all of the ingredients mixed together in one spoonful, I closed my eyes and I saw the birth of the universe. What I'm trying to say is that I will be ordering this meal over and over and over again until I die.
