Joe Lay & Sons Plumbing was the contractor for our new Fischer house in Independence. They botched…read more4 major things on new construction. First, they didn't properly install the drain for the main bathroom tub. They were quick to come out on the warranty work, but did have to cut into our new drywall and would not repaint. Next, the overflow drain from the where the HVAC unit sits was covered with particulate, causing the drain not to be effective, leaving water all over our carpeted floor. This required a service call. Once the drain was cleared of material, it was clear that they had not installed the overflow drain into the main drainage exit. This was another service call required after the other should have fixed it. Finally, today, I had to call a different plumber as there was a stain on the ceiling under my main shower. The new plumbers cut a hole in the ceiling and confirmed that the work performed by JL&SP was insufficient to keep the drain from overflowing. I would not trust them with any future work and clearly have had to have others come in to straighten up what they missed. With zero walls to have to work around, they couldn't get it right. What will they do in your house?
