After signing in and having a seat for just a few minutes they gave me the standard paperwork to fill out. I was pleased that they didn't ask for the same information repeatedly which is far too common a practice in the medicine. They informed that they wait would by 90 minutes. Not surprising in a small community with limited medical services and no appointment. As predicted I was in the examination room talking to the doctor within 90 minutes. Dr. Jane was attentive, prescribed a remedy that worked effectively within an hours, and sent me home with a prescription to address the issue in the coming days. The doctor was great, and the office staff friendly and efficient.

What a disservice to the community that the only Urgent Care in the county is now closed on Saturdays so you have to drive all the way to Sylva for the closest. They also haven't updated that online, so I had looked up what time they opened on Saturdays online and wasted my gas driving there. Drove to Sylva and I'm not the only one here from Bryson City and it's packed because it's serving 2 counties now. It's such a shame for the community. I understand a lot of people don't want to work on Saturdays, that's why you rotate workers schedules. Please go back to being open on Saturdays and doing the sign in with phone number and you wait in your vehicle until called to come in which is great so you aren't waiting in the waiting room with other people that you may be infecting because you have something worse then them or vice versa. That was a great change during peak Covid time they went to and I don't know why they went back to everyone going inside again the last time I had went there.

Harris Regional lacks qualified medical staff due its remote Appalachian location. It will take years for modernization to catch up in these parts. The public assistance programs are not helping people in these parts improve their lives with individual independence. In fact public assistance programs are causing the opposite, dependency and stagnation. Example; when a farmer continues to feed its livestock with by filling the feeding troth after winter has passed and spring has arrived, the livestock will not move out to Greener pastures on their own. The livestock remains at the troth awaiting for it to be refilled. The livestock got use to the dependency and prefers the handout vs. self sufficient independence.

I see several other providers for other services and nobody else has ever had the issues that HRMC has in filing insurance. I have gotten multiple incorrect bills that have either not been filed with my insurance at all or have been sent to the wrong insurance despite my having given them the correct, current insurance information EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to any HRMC affiliated practice. I am waiting on correct bills from 16 months ago because of the number of times I have had to go back to them to tell them how to do their jobs. The amount of hours I have personally had to spend on the phone with them is unreal. I even submitted a complaint to the state AG's office because I could not get a simple itemized receipt from them to submit to my FSA. I am literally changing my primary care provider because they are affiliated with HRMC and I cannot deal with this nonsense anymore. I like my primary care provider and facility, but not enough to continue dealing with this nonsense. The only time I will ever set foot in this facility again is if I end up in the emergency room because I have no other options in this town. For-profit healthcare is a stain on our society. HRMC is a perfect example.

We just moved here so its a great comfort to me to know we have you all close. Everyone was so kind and efficient during her 3-day stay. I wish I had all of your names but I just don't, but here's a few of the folks that we wish to say thank you too: -- David Mullins and Jeff Rennie came quickly in the ambulance despite us being in a dark, rural area full of deer. They were kind and comforted mom. -- Kimberly in emergency was very kind and helpful to me too, as it was our first time there and I just did not know where to go. -- The ER staff was great too, including Dr. Scott. -- The nurses were wonderful to mom, as well. I hate it that I don't have all of your names, especially the young lady that cut mom's food for her as that was so sweet. Trissi and Miranda were two I met that were kind and we really liked them and appreciated them. -- Thank you to all doctors that checked on her too. Thank you all so much, including those of you whose names I did not get unfortunately. Please forgive me but know you are very appreciated. God bless you all.

I was informed in detail as to the medications being administered, why, and what would be the expected results. I was on a prescribed diet and once again was informed as to why in simple, understandable layman language. Regardless of a staff members position, whether a doctor, nurse, dietician, or even someone on the custodial staff, before leaving the room I was always asked if I needed anything or if they could do anything to make me more comfortable. Of course they would need to ask my nurse before giving me anything but, they asked! The staff was always polite and respectful and came to work with their sense of humor. The whole time, I felt that I was a special patient. Of course I was not but, this was how I was treated and how I felt. Truly, I believe that their great care care overall contributed my very rapid recovery. Two of my nurses, Amy and Jennifer were absolutely priceless. They always asked me about my condition and how I felt, in my own opinion. Many evenings they would take time out to just have a conversation with me, not related to my illness, but just on a person to person level. No one wants to be hospitalized but with my recent experience with these great and caring people, this is where I would want to receive my care.

I hope this really…read morespeaks to others out there about the incredible experience and quality of care i received at LeConte. Dear Covenant Health, I just discharged from the emergency room at LeConte in Sevierville. I was treated under Dr. Cullen Copeland submitting myself after suffering two long months of pretty intense and severe persistent shoulder pain after a car accident. The wait time was basically non-existent to even be seen and placed in a room to receive treatment. Your entire staff from the receptionist that checked me in all the way up to the doctor that oversaw everything were absolutely 100% professional, undoubtedly respectful and completely went above and beyond when it came to actively listening and responding to any voiced concerns. I am absolutely just beyond grateful for the entire opportunity to be treated at this facility. I saw it had 2.8 stars on yelp but was hoping i would be appropriately treated and decided to go anyway. I mean, it was more than I could have even known to ask for!!! Even the experience of literally not having to get out of bed for the imaging ordered (x-ray) was really new and surprising and really nice! I've not ever seen an x-ray machine that basically didn't need an entire room for housing and didn't require me to get up and go to it. The nurse who later arrived with my discharge papers was so respectful and allowed me to not only voice my concerns but when I asked to speak with the Dr again because I didn't fully understand the discharge paperwork, she immediately snagged him from his untold continuously busy day and he was amazing in how he not only listened to my concerns but even literally saved me truth be told--untold amounts of money!! He, who i'm sure was simply just operating as he normally does, went above and completely beyond what I arrived there expecting!!! Once he explained everything i was so so grateful he did just exactly what he did. While it would have been just stellar all the way around to have him be the one to explain the for-the-moment diagnosis so that I could ask questions etc, I do recognize that is absolutely just kind of silly to expect with all of the duties he has being in his position and how busy he must certainly stay as your ER physician! He was literally looking out for me even when I didn't even know how or that he had even considered the entire visit that far out and down to that level of detail!! However he let me speak, heard me out fully and wait patiently and very respectfully, I feel , for me to ask all of my questions. he didn't interrupt or really act anything other than just completely professional. After I had voiced my initial confusion he explained everything to me. I just cannot stress enough that He is not only a brilliant physician, but an absolutely genuinely empathetic and caring human being. I had no clue that he was truly doing me a humongous favor by referring me to primary care instead of ordering an MRI. He even explained what I was basically going to expect in my treatment moving forward after I am established with a pcp! I literally walked out of that department just beyond grateful for your staff. I mean I am just so ignorant i guess of the world they function in everyday, that I had kind of ridiculous expectations going in literally to the point when Dr explained how he had saved me $5,000 OR MORE because my insurance would absolutely not have covered an MRI in the ER, I was finally able to see just the smallest glimmer come from what I feel confidently, is really and truly just an exceptional, empathetic, caring and downright incredible emergency room department staff. I simply can not express truly how not only BEYOND impressed I am but how deeply grateful I am for such an incredible experience being treated by such amazing people. I will leave this review or something very similar with five full stars on yelp for this er. I mean, you guys beat the UT hospital ER by a mile. I mean comparing the two experiences...it's just not even close!!! Thank you truly, Please show your staff how much you do appreciate them, because they absolutely deserve it if this is how LeConte does things on the daily. Wow!! Best Regards, Sk 5/23/2026
