I was excited to do classes here and the owner seemed really nice and caring. Health issues came up for me not even a week after I signed up and I informed them that I couldn't continue. I never even got to use my equipment or do a class. They proceeded to take more money from me and are refusing to answer my calls or emails. I had an uneasy feeling about this place but now its confirmed. Completely unprofessional and manipulative. Unfortunately for them I'm not someone who just takes things. Legal action will be taken against them. I just don't want anyone else to trust such a business that preys on someone. I have been going to SWAMA (South Western Art of Martial Arts), for nearly four month now. They provide an excellent balance of intensity, total body, strength building and cardio into all there class. Grand Master Dr. James Wilson, is an amazing instructor. he understand the body as it should be, in such way that he will keep you safe during your work out and or training but at the same time help you reach new levels in your skills and or losing weight. . All the instructors are amazing, i also attend kick boxing Monday night, and that class is amazing (your shirt will be soaked by the end of that class). All of the instructors are great, and given the expertise provide the pricing is quite reasonable. They also provide training in taekwondo and Hapkido. Anyone serious about getting in shape or training in martial arts, this is the place to be. read more

SWAMA is the real deal. I was hesitant to join but I knew several people who joined before me and were raving about it. I figured I had to try it for myself. I was not disappointed. This place not only takes your training serious, but they ensure you feel like you're part of a real training family. SWAMA Martial Arts is a great gym, I started going 3 months ago, already improved my stamina, self defense, discipline, lost 20 pounds. The staff/trainers are great, very positive, full of energy and friendly but of course when is training time they are serious and professionals. There is no judgement between the trainers and students. All the students are nice and friendly as well, made friends with all of them. Great martial arts gym, they have boxing, kickboxing, if your goal is losing weight they have it, gain mussel they gave it, self defense they'll teach you, compite professionally they'll make it happen. read more

I've looked around a good radius for gyms and martial art studios in my area caus I new I needed to get into something productive and to get back into prime shape. These guys welcomed me in like a family would an have been coming everyday. It's gotten me through a lot of life stresses and just a good relief from the normal everyday life. Southwestern Association of Martial Arts (SWAMA) is really incredible and has been life changing for my wife and me. For 40+ years I have avoided regular, rigorous exercise like a plague. However, as I started to gain weight and developed diabetes I realized that I had to make changes if I wanted to be healthy and active as I got older. Both my wife and I have been going regularly (3-6 times per week) for 10 months. I have lost weight, built muscle mass, increased my energy and best of all, got my diabetes under control. My wife, who has always been in fairly good shape, has increased her strength, has more energy and has toned and contoured her body. We participate in a combination fitness, kickboxing and strength group classes under the guidance of the Grand Master James Wilson and his qualified staff (we love instructor Angelica.) The other people attending have become like family members. We work out with men and women who range in age from 16 to 70 with all levels of fitness - from very fit to members with major health problems and fitness issues. Although we all do the same, rigorous exercises, the staff carefully modifies what we do to adjust for personal health, body and strength issues. I can guarantee you that at first the classes may seem hard and physically exhausting, but in a short time you will feel better, look better, and enjoy your new look. I've been training with Grand-master Beltran for 2 1/2 years now and all i can say is there's no one else out there that will push you beyond your limits more than Beltran would. Beltran is a very wise instructor and is a very helpful man that can help you train hard and have fun at the same time. Beltran knows how to train people hard but he also helps guide us the teenagers and kids to have a successful life. Me as a teenager have had a lot of advice from Beltran and all i can say about that is it has helped me a lot not only in martial arts, but also in school and in life. i strongly recommend boxing zone, it's a great place to train and to learn. read more

love this gym it has a great atmosphere everyone is friendly and they are great to be around its a great family gym. The classes and instructors are awesome motivators! I enjoy going to all their classes because their routines are so effective, fun and the instructors are easily approachable while providing professionalism at its best. I've encountered in years various forms of trainings and going to many classes at other gyms,but this one in particular has provided me with a "more with less" ideology and has a tight-knit friendly environment. I especially want to recognize and thank the instructors. They given helpful knowledge and suggestions to prevent injury and work with existing one(s).They also provides health tips and share their experiences that acts as primary resources for your goals.
