How about answering your phones. I've been on hold for 30 minutes trying to get through to schedule an appointment. Will be going elsewhere

It's almost an impossible to have someone answer the phone. It's taken me two weeks of calling to get someone to answer.

I've never seen such a clean office and all the staff were very professional and caring. Dr. McNerny is excellent and came in after my endoscopy to go over the results. Unlike Arizona Gastroenterology which sends a medical assistant to read a scripted result. The waiting rooms are spacious and the exam room was spotless. I went all the way across town to get to this office and it was well worth it.

Preventative Screening Patient Be Aware…read more At the suggestions of my PCP, employer sponsored annual physical Dr, and medical science as a whole; I chose to have a PREVENTATIVE colonoscopy done. (There is no family history of colon cancer and overall I am a healthy 48 year old male.) Preventive is only when the Dr finds NOTHING during the exam. If something, like a polyp, is found, the code changes to 'Diagnostic' and Medical Bills begin to generate. Statistics state 25-40% of the time a polyp (or something) will be found during the exam; and of those found only a small percentage may be cancerous. (Google it for yourself.) While I am the buyer and thought I asked all the right questions; I am left with an unexpected $503 medical bill by the facility. Both my insurance carrier, the facility billing department, and the facility medical records department basically told me: "Too bad, so sad"-pay up!" I write this to inform anyone seeking a preventive colonoscopy (at this facility or others) to ask more questions of both your insurance provider and the facility which you pick. Ask what happens WHEN something is found and how much will that be costing? They have the answers despite the, "well it depends," because of course they will eventually bill your insurance and you. (Do this well before the day you arrive for the screening after drinking that clean you out stuff!!!) So, at what cost is peace of mind? I can honestly state that given my personal health history; I would have canceled, or at least postponed, had I known what this "preventive" screening was going to potentially cost me out of pocket. I had little to no concern about colon cancer prior to being convinced by medical authorities it was necessary and was unfortunately led to believe that it was covered as a preventative screening. Money talks, and the "preventive" screening..... Well, it CO$T me peace of mind after all.
