Quiet and we had no issues until housekeeping at 0800 starts with the slamming doors - with the night lock open so the door slams every time going in and out. Then proceeds to do it about half hour before I had to go out there and ask WTF??? Everyone on that floor at our end had have heard the loud bangs every three minutes. In and out. BANG. How can an employee have such disregard and disrespect for guests sleeping at 0800 on a Sunday ??? Would have been five stars for us had it not been for this employee.

The desk clerk was nice, our room was nice and the motel had some decent amenities. It had an exercise room (which I didn't use), free breakfast, and a beautiful pool (which I did use). I saw the pool, and it was a nice size, quite long and it kept on enticing me to get in. After I woke up, I did a bunch of laps. It was lovely. The room was clean, with two very comfortable queen size beds. There is also a liquor store right across from the motel, (no highway to cross to get there). So, if you want to get a bottle of spirits, it's very convenient. Enjoyed my stay and would come again.

We were here for a Welcome Home Celebration. Initially the celebration was planned to take place at the park. I'm so happy there was a change in location. Upon arrival guest were arriving for several events in the area. We were greeted by the front desk attendants and advised where our party was meeting. The lobby area decor and furnishings are beautiful- suade wing back chairs, leather studded ottomans. Snack area (vending machine) tucked away in a corner next to the lobby. The cafe was well stocked with condiments. Breakfast served everyday There are quite a few meeting areas that are used for birthday celebrations, meetings, etc. Each room can accommodate at least 200 guests. Each room has a large projector and mounted TV. Since we did not stay overnight, I'm not certain how the rooms looked but according to the lobby, conference rooms, etc I'm certain they're nice. There is also a Fitness room. It's also conveniently located off 75 where several restaurants are located in walking distance. If you're traveling or in the area, check this hotel out. Rooms have no more carpet which is great ! The issue for most travelers is the "incidental" charges hold - $100. Having this hold in a hotel with no restaurant, no room service, no bar and no - incidentals means it is a money grab. Travelers have another $100 hold on cards they need to travel. Takes days for the credit card to put it back on - and for what? Can't order anything - so the hotel owner is trying to boost average daily balance and have cash extra day. (Or could be) Can't be a damage hold as no one will pay that and just do a chargeback - Then when issues arise with the returned money the hotel blames the bank. The credit card company - even a mistake where they "forgot" to replace it. And I've had it all happen in my travel days. If there have been issues with unruly guests in the past that led to holding extra money then who would want to stay if dangerous? No, the incidental charge holds needs to go. A 5 star rating for sure - except for the extra attention I need to do for making sure the money is returned. Hold or not - the money is gone from my account and can't use it.

The free breakfast is pretty solid, though we wouldn't mind seeing a few more hot selections on the menu. Our only real gripe is the lack of a microwave in the room. We tend to wind down with snacks or heat up leftovers, so it's a little inconvenient not having one. That said, having a mini fridge is a definite bonus and helps with storing drinks or cold items. The designated pet relief area was also next to a back road, which could be disruptive to some pets who are sensitive to traffic noises. On a side note it's obvious they never give theirs floors a good cleaning. I took a wet towel and swabbed the floor. The towel was black. Simply cleaning floors can remove smells. Come on people! Now comes bedtime. WTF with the pillows? !!! Three on each bed. Every single one were small squares filled with super hard chunks! My only guess was they were memory foam chunks that dried up and were disintegrating. Take a pillowcase and fill it with rocks about 2x2 inches and that's what we had. We ended up making our own pillows from our clothing. LOOK, I manage vacation rental properties. I KNOW that pillows can be amongst the cheapest of expenses but make a big impact. EVERY SINGLE PILLOW of mine gets my yay or nay after every single guest. They're lumpy? Toss them. Smell like sweat? Toss them. Have a valley in the center? Toss them! It's simple. There was a guy in an overnight booking window that got me a cheap room. The room itself was alright, no top latch on the door just the one you use the hotel key for. I ended up moving a chair in front of it just for added security. Probably being paranoid but I was traveling alone so I figured I'd air on the side of caution. Also there was only bar soap in the shower, no shampoo or anything. Not a bad place, not fancy but they were there when I needed them and the overnight guy who booked me was kind.

The morning breakfast is decent and the lobby was decorated nice for the holidays. The staff was friendly and the room was warm.
