The Derailed Diner inside the travel center is a sit-down restaurant with a train decor that includes a crossing sound that plays at regular intervals in the parking lot. There's also a fried chicken takeout place inside. On my most recent stop I was excited to find that they have added a spin rack of paperback books. I'm always looking for something new to read on road trips and these racks are getting harder to find. I bought the science fiction novels Planet of the Damned by Harry Harrison and Solar Express by L. E. Modesitt Jr. along with some Stuckey's treats.

I'd say the only ding is that the burger was cooked a bit too much for my personal taste - we weren't asked for a temperature and I should have asked.
