I had a "violent break" and dislocation in one ankle plus severe sprain of my other ankle a few months ago. From the first moment entering the ER to discharge, then back again for severe tendinitis a week later... 16 days total in hospital care... absolutely AMAZING NURSES. Out of the few dozen I had I can only think of ONE that was more challenging to work with but all the rest were spectacular. I knew I didn't have to worry about anything except my healing. The hospital doctor Dr. Katherine Min was STELLAR!!! Dr. Magnusson who did my surgery was STELLAR!!! So many amazing NACs and nurses who took such amazing care of me while I was so vulnerable. I got injured in early June 2025 while on vacation. This hospital was the closest. I needed stitches in my leg after falling. The ER doctor failed to realize exactly how deep my wound was. He stitched it up with very little post-visit instructions and no antibiotics which led to me developing VERY painful cellulitis up to my knee. He was in too much of a hurry to handle my care to the extent it needed to be handled. It's now 3 months later and the injury is still open and has not healed. I am now forced to go to wound care 5 days per week because of how this injury was handled. The other staff were great and I have zero complaints in that department. read more

Our experience with Dr. Troy Yi and Swedish Pediatrics at Meadow Creek has been deeply disappointing and concerning. From the beginning, we felt that Dr. Yi lacked a strong understanding of some basic pediatric issues. During our initial visits, he took an aggressive and dismissive stance on vaccinations, insisting that our children must be vaccinated or we would have to leave the practice. While we understand that clinics may have policies regarding vaccinations, the way it was communicated came off as a threat rather than a conversation, completely disregarding our parental rights and concerns. Following this, our newborn son experienced serious health issues, including rapid weight loss and persistent diarrhea within the first two weeks of life. We brought him in multiple times and even went to the emergency room twice during this time. Despite our consistent efforts to seek care and follow medical advice, Dr. Yi filed a report with CPS alleging medical neglect--a claim that was quickly found to be unfounded and was closed after an emergency welfare check. We absolutely agree that child welfare should always be a top priority, and we support proper intervention in cases of real neglect. However, in our case, we were actively and repeatedly seeking care, and it was disheartening to see our proactive approach disregarded and misrepresented. Rather than feeling supported, we felt accused and alienated. A healthy pediatric relationship should be built on trust, open communication, and mutual respect. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Dr. Yi or the clinic as a whole. We ultimately made the decision to find a new provider who listens, collaborates, and respects the role of parents in their child's care. read more

Went to imaging in Swedish Issaquah Highlands. Parking is limited in a small garage and getting from the back parking lot to the medical center is a steep uphill and tough pushing a wheelchair in the wind and rain. The imaging center check-in were efficient and friendly. The nurse taking us back to the MRI was the complete opposite - rude, unsympathetic to mobility limitations. The back room looked disorganized and not very clean. Rudely interrupted by some clinic worker Akshal S. Patel who was arrogant, rude and looked very scattered. You know, no ones really ever thrilled about being in an ER. There are classically long waits, sick people coughing all over you, and no one ever brings you that martini you ordered. I can't say that for most people a trip to the ER will be a pleasurable experience, but I think if you take into account what to expect from such a visit and adjust your parameters, you can still end up with a 4-5 star experience. As coronavirus is running rampant in WA right now, I really wasn't inclined to visit a doctor when my clumsy self fell running and my finger turned 50 shades of purple..yah not at all sultry or enticing as an ombre of grey. I taped and generally avoided until I couldn't any longer and checked myself into the ER with an xray of my translocated finger break..so apparently a purple finger is NOT a sign its healing normally just FYI. The ladies at the front were positively peachy and got me checked in and even gave me the mask I requested to avoid the dreaded beer virus (CV). I really loved the new construction of the building with modern aesthetics, the checkin desk being separate from the waiting space and the door that begins your journey into the next waiting space. I actually didn't hang out in the waiting room too long and an RN nabbed me to triage. He checked out my radiograph I came prepared with and laughed at my attempt to convince myself I was totally fine. They moved me after vitals to a nice patient room with a TV playing relaxing music and showing gorgeous scenery photography, I actually quite enjoyed that touch. The room was modern, clean, and had rather nice cabinetry. Radiology popped in after hardly any wait to snap a few more photos of my mangled paw and then came the long wait for the physician. I waited about 40 mins or so for her to pop in, say yah..that's a pretty complicated break.. then another 25 mins or so as she stepped out to see if there was anything she could do for me. I was disappointed I couldn't be treated for a fracture there but I am ignorant to the extensive training in all disciplines that an ER physician has so perhaps this is normal. What I did appreciate was she was able to secure me a last min visit at the end of day, on a Friday no less, with a hand surgeon. She reviewed my case with him, sent the radiographs, and I was on my way to Bellevue for a splint. Im sure I won't like the bill for this adventure, but again I think adjusting expectations to fit emergency care wait, limitations, and costs is a must. I was pleased as a whole with the speed of the triage, the attempts of the physician to get me to where I needed to be, and the friendly RNs and front desk personnel that made my experience as pleasant as possible. I love the doctor and the nurse and the staff everyone was so nice. The quality of care was great because the doctor took her time to get to know my child and that felt good to know she cares. I rarely write reviews but I was so offended by the unprofessional and rude manner in which I was spoken to by the emergency room check in/front desk staff I felt compelled to write a review. My hope is not to disparage the medical center itself as I feel indebted to the medical professionals who have worked tirelessly especially during Covid but I was so appalled by the manner in which the front desk staff spoke to me, feedback needs to be provided in hopes that someone from Swedish Issaquah may hopefully read this and provide much needed redirection or perhaps training about the importance of communicating with people with more kindness and humanity. My sister and I were out with my mom. As we were talking, my mom appeared to be having a medical issue and the change in her demeanor and body was rapid and concerning, so 911 was called. The EMTs determined she had to be taken to the Swedish Issaquah Emergency to be checked out further and stated one of us could go with her in the ambulance and the other should drive to the hospital as they would need a ride back. My sister went on the ambulance and I met them at the hospital. When I get to the emergency room, I inform the front desk staff that I was there because my mom was admitted and I was told I needed to drive there to meet them. The front desk staff noted my last name and went back. I assumed she was telling my sister we were there? When she came back, she said, "Did you need something else?" I was confused because I thought she was telling my sister I was there (so my sister would provide an update on her status) but she noted that they can only have one person back there and then in a curt rather rude tone, "Well you can't stay in the lobby so if you have a phone you can communicate that way". Now I previously worked in the social service field for over ten years and when people are stressed or may have experienced something potentially traumatic, tone and manner of speaking matter. You can be a person who helps the situation or you can be a person that makes the experience that much worse. How you say something is just as important as what you say. read more

My experience with the department of gastroenterology is very disappointing. The team is simply incompetent and unprofessional. They failed me with cancer screening procedure, and cancelled my long awaited procedure just hours prior due to their sloppiness. How can I trust them with my health if I can't trust them with simple care coordination? The only time they responded promptly was to enroll me in clinical research. We were sent from a clinic to here right away because my brothers abdomen was hurting to the point his whole body and face got numb and he can't even speak or walk right now. I went into Overlake Urgent Care regarding a cold that I had been fighting for a week and was sent to Swedish via ambulance due to my stats. What was supposed to be a one night stay turned into ten days. During my stay at Swedish, I was well taken care of by Dr. Kadera, and then later Dr. Chun, and by a vast array of nurses who attended to my every need. I was a bit of a problem child with my high fevers and pneumonia, but the nurses especially never left me alone and got my fevers down and made sure I was comfortable. Shoutout to the respiratory team, especially Joy the RT who offered invaluable advice and assistance, even with my insurance providers. As far as the hospital goes, my coworker asked me if I was in a fancy VIP room so it's absolutely beautiful in there. Lots of new movies, including Beauty and the Beast, Marvel, comedies, and some old stuff like Eat Pray Love to keep me from jumping out the window. The food is about as good as a hospital can get, with a wide array to kind of assist those like me with no appetite. You can order on your TV too so for someone like me who wasn't hungry AND couldn't talk, it was awesome. Thank you Swedish for everything! read more

Wife who is a Nurse Practitioner with 40 years experience, was admitted here to Med Surg Unit. Poor standard of care, staff did only what was minimally required. They weren't even that busy so no excuses for the neglect. Aids never came by to check on her (though they could be heard chatting away outside her room) CPAP was never supplied by respiratory, BP cuff was routinely and pain fully over inflated despite her requests to set limits lower which nurses ignored (my wife could have done it herself, it's not hard if you know what you're doing)not even a towel or soap provided for the bathroom, the Unit Manager should be called on the carpet for the poor level of care she received. This was the 2nd time we used Swedish since we live just down the street but the care standards were just as poor as our first experience. Regrettably from our experience, this seems to be the way their new owner, Catholic Health Initiatives prefers to run their hospitals. I'll be contacting JACHO with these complaints. read more

We normally go to Swedish Seattle for healthcare but decided to try this location. I dropped my husband off for an outpatient procedure and while waiting, I realized that I didn't eat lunch. At 2:05pm I went to the cafeteria and they had already closed. So I went to Starbucks and they refused to serve me because they don't accept either cash or credit cards. They only take the Starbucks app, which I don't have. I find it very odd that in a building where thousands of people are located, there is nothing to eat or drink after 2pm. I prefer the Swedish Seattle location if you are dropping a family member off and waiting. read more

Avoid this hospital and ER at all costs. I would give a zero star if I could. While the hospital itself might be in-network with your health insurance, the ER Dr you see MAY NOT. They also will NOT tell you ahead of time or even alert you to that fact beforehand. You will get a very large bill afterwards (even though you've met all deductibles for the year and have a good policy) that will leave you scratching your head as to why it's so high. When you call Eastside Emergency Physicians, they will rudely interrupt you to tell you that this is how it works, and the hospital cannot, and will not, tell you this. Are you kidding me? We're talking hundreds of dollars ($1300 for the dr's charges alone) and they act like the dr's are in the CIA; it's all secretive, and you can't know. I even asked how you find out which drs are participating with your plan, and they told me you can't! Unbelievable! Like another reviewer said, this hospital, and Eastside ER drs is everything that's wrong with medicine in this country right now. If a hospital is in your network, you're going to assume that the dr's working for them are too. And, if not, that they would warn you when you're checking in and giving them your insurance that you may see someone who is not. They are absolutely obligated to do that, and yet they don't. It seems like they aren't for a reason: no one would want to see a dr who wasn't in their network, and these dr's wouldn't be making any money. It's all a scam to bilk you, and should be illegal. It's time to make a complaint with the attorney general about this shady practice at Swedish Hospitals.... read more

I've never seen such horrible front-office service from any medical clinic. Have the flu? Get ready to spend 20-45 minute on hold, in multiple phone hold queues, and end up with an answering service that thinks everyone is at lunch at 2pm. What? No problem - call back, start over, finally get "your doctor's" assistant (they all have their own dedicated assistants that *may or may not be taking your call* because that makes sense for such a difficult task as looking in a calendar), "Oh I'm sorry, I'm Dr. Zirkle's assistant, if we want to get you in sooner, you'll have to talk to *another doctor's assistant*, please hold" - start over, back to the queue, probably back to the answering service. Round and Round you go. Leave a message? They *may* or *may not* call you back in a day. That's ok because (1) You're probably home sick from work, and your time is not valuable - you have all day to press redial. (2) You're in the best of moods because you have the flu. Now before you decide that this is unreasonable, if you get the "honor" of actually getting an appointment, you'll find that this is a $250 million dollar ivory tower of a building. So clearly, they have their priorities straight in how they spend your health care dollars on taking care of you. Really sad because they could have an *even fancier* building if they would just outsource the call center to Bangladesh. Opportunity missed. It's funny, not funny, that my barber has an easier time booking time slots and they have one receptionist for 30 stylists. read more

I have always had a good experience with this hospital, big fan of it, but I will never return to this ER. This is a lovely hotel staffed by hospitalists and not much else. Come here for your elective gallbladder removal but if you plan on being complex like my father they will just bill Medicare for two weeks and kick you out without your ever actually seeing a specialist. They even refused to transfer my father to a hospital where he could be seen by his regular surgeon! This hospital is what is wrong with American health system. Move over Overlake, Swedish is my go to place now! After my father had a accident last may, my family took him to overlake but after dealing with incompetent and uncaring doctors and nurses with terrible treatment plans, we switched his care over to swedish. It made a huge difference. My father almost died and thanks to swedish, he is alive and well. The hospital was recently made not too long ago so everything in it is brand new and was designed extremely well. The room where my father stayed at was fantastic and clean. The nurses were very nice and caring. The service was great and accessibility was nice. I didn't get lost when i came to visit. And even after they dismissed my father, i continued to come to swedish. I sought out a specialist and was booked, seen and treated like a human being. The doctor didn't rush me out of her doors like overlake always did. I spent quality time with my doctor on my problems and she did everything in her powers to help me get the treatment i needed. A+ on their part. The only thing i don't quite like about this location tho is how it's on top of a hill. Because its WA and the weather in issaquah is terrible (rain, snow, black ice) going up and down a hill in those conditions especially for issaquah highland is dangerous! so 2/5 for location! Overall, i do recommend this place above whatever care overlake provides. Not all of overlakes clinics/hospitals/specialists are bad. Just 3/4 times i've gone to a overlake doctor, i've been unsatisfied and treated like i'm only a money machine and not a human. So i give 4/5 stars for swedish for their updated equipment, methods, building and service! Thank you swedish for helping my family. read more

Called this morning Laboratory/Dynacare 425-394-0550 for a blood test. When I called at 8:03 am someone answered the phone and I did not understand her and calmly I said "Good morning" and proceeded with my question. She did not behave professional nor acknowledge that it was a patient calling. It sounded like she was doing something else more important rather than taking care of phone calls. Once she answered my question in a rush, I said thank you, she said "You're welcome" and hung up on me. It felt like whatever she was doing was more important than to take care of a customer. Obviously it was not a trained employee. Again, I am not sure from were they get this people from. I will be crazy if I will go there tomorrow. I will have to drive about 30 minutes to the clinic were I got the work order from. I really wanted to come here because it is closer to my home and the blood test required to be fasting. I can guarantee any other place will be better than this unorganized place. Bleh. read more

I took my kid to this location for registration as new patients. The staff on the first floor was pretty indifferent and told me to go to the 5th floor. So we went upstairs. The staff upstairs were even worse. When I asked for registration, all their staff paid attention and listen to our conversation as If they had nothing to do. This guy told me that they did not take new patients because there is only one pedetrician. When I asked for my primary MD, he then gave me 5 business cards and wanted me to call for registration on my own. We have lived in a lot of places and this is the first time feels not welcomed at the medical organization. Swidish, you have brand new building, but your front desk staff really need a lot of professional trainings and know how to treat patients nicely! All their "don't care and work for their bills" attitude stopped me from attending this "hospital" any more. I don't believe that they will offer good services! Not recommended. read more

I can't remember the last time I was this happy with a medical facility. Not only is the facility brand new, fancy and clean, but I've had excellent interactions with the staff. When I called for an appointment as a brand new patient, someone called me back within a few hours and was able to get me in exactly when I wanted to be seen. I saw Dr. Kathryn Tonder (who I was able to research prior online on the very user friendly web site) and she was exactly like she seemed on her video. Professional, warm and knowledgeable. The front desk staff was brisk but efficient, and everyone in Dr. Tonder's office was great. I really liked the nurse as well as the lab staff I interacted with. Several weeks later I also visited imaging for an ultrasound and I loved the tech there as well. Every time I have an appointment, my results are delivered to me almost immediately via their online "MyChart" system, which I love. I can email my doctor any time and she gets back to me within 24 hours with answers to my questions, refilled prescriptions, or whatever. And another doctor was equally responsive while Dr. Tonder was on vacation. The best part, though, is when I was recently ill and out of state. I was able to use the urgent on-call phone system to reach my doctor at 10:30 on a Saturday night. I left a message and Dr. Tonder called me back within TEN MINUTES. She was very patient in speaking with me about my problem and coming to a conclusion together on what I should do. Ever since first visiting Swedish Issaquah I have felt incredibly safe and well-cared for. I would recommend it to anyone. We have not experienced the billing side of things yet, but I will be sure to update this review when we do. read more

I had to visit the ER several days ago, because of breathing difficulty and an abnormal heart rate. The doctors and nurses here did everything they could to calm me down, comfort me and provide immediate medical attention when my heart rate spiked. The doctor explained that I may have a heart condition and recommended a cardiologist in the center. I am extremely appreciative of the time, care and quick thinking of the doctors and nurses at Swedish Medical Center. Everything was handled professionally, and efficiently. I've delivered two babies here, one via C-section and one as a VBAC. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kristy Howard as an OBGYN. She is absolutely phenomenal. My children's pediatrician is also here, and both she and her colleagues have been wonderful with my children. In the course of their care, we have also worked with Dr. Pisharody (pediatric gastroenterologist) who I would give top ratings to across the board and Dr. Guy Hudson, who is actually now CEO of Swedish. He was also absolutely top notch. I have both gone to the ER and brought my kids to the ER here and had very good experiences. read more

I've had too many bad experiences at Swedish Issaquah to list them all. The hospital is staffed by arrogant, ignorant doctors who have no business treating patients. The basic function of diagnosing and treating illnesses and traumas is terrible. My last visit (as in, never again) was for a bacterial infection. Rather than treating me for the infection they decided I was a mental health patient and a risk to myself and attempted to detain me for several days. I was drugged with a strong sedative without my consent or knowledge after blood was drawn for tests. I believe their m.o. is to diagnose patients with mental issues/danger to self/others so they can involuntarily commit them for 48 hours to fill beds and make $$$. I literally thought I was going to have to brawl with the security guards to fight my way out of the hospital. The security guard riffled through my belongings (clothes, wallet, cell phone, etc.) even after I told him not to. I had to forcibly take my possessions from him. Food is good, probably the best hospital food in the Seattle area. read more

I saw Dr. Kidambi at Swedish primary care in Klahanie and would highly recommend. The staff were all extremely pleasant. Appointment was made in two days. Dr. Kidambi was not only pleasant, but very knowledgeable and took the time to listen to my symptoms. No feeling of being rushed. I would highly recommend as I have had an extremely difficult time finding a quality, pleasant Primary care doctor with a pleasant staff that clearly enjoys their job. read more

I had to take my 16 year- old daughter in on New Years Day for pain in her left side. I had two good experiences at this ER myself so decided to take her there. We got in quick, nurse got information, doctor came in fairly quickly and took the time to get up to speed. Longest wait was 45 mins for an ultrasound. Dr. Nayak came back in and did his best to put us at ease. Made a good recommendation that we moved forward with but also had a plan to see a specialist Monday if necessary. Nurses were very nice. Problem cleared up with his diagnosis and treatment. Great experience especially under Covid limitations. That makes 3 good experiences at this ER. read more

0 stars. I highly recommend that no one comes here to deliver their baby. I made the stupid mistake of driving an hour over Snoqualmie pass to go to this "highly recommend" hospital and it was a huge waste of my time. their staff needs to stick to what they teach you in their expensive birthing classes because nothing they told us was true. They will not treat you nice, they will not give you a room once you are in labor. Here's a list of all the things they did wrong. 1. I only ever met my obgyn one time in the 6 months I went there, every other time it was a nurse practitioner and several of them where very rude! One said I was overweight (I went from 110 to 180 with my first child). 2. When I did start having contractions I came in like they said We should, the first time they gave me a shot of morphine and sent me home. The second time we came in, the contractions where getting worse, still not dialaged enough so they sent us home again, third time they told me to walk around and drink water, that seemed to work so they finally took us to a room. 3. So almost immediately they decided that they wanted to check if my child was in distress, instead of using a ultra sound or something more humane they stuck a screw in his head to monitor his heartbeat. (It was basically just a tax pay off, it also leaves a scab for weeks after birth) absolutely no reason for it. 5. While in labor they had a shift change and the nurses couldn't have been more inconsiderate, talking about their haircuts while I'm laying there trying to birth a child, it was very rude. 6. They could have probably worked on their bedside manner because the first thing I did during the contractions and after getting an epidural put in was shit myself and they didn't bother cleaning it up or anything. 7. I didn't even know or get to know the Dr who delivered my son he was just some random guy, who came did the delivery then left. 8. When they did get my child out they carried him off and all a nurse said to me was "he's having trouble breathing, we're putting him under the heat lamp" then walked off leaving me to stress and wonder if he's okay. 9. They burnt him under the lamp. 10. When I finally did get to hold him I still didn't even know if he was okay. Like no one said anything to me. 11. Finally in one of their recovery rooms and they started pushing breast feeding, like to the point where they would have a imature, younger nurse come In and show me how to do it. She basically forced my child's face into my boob while he was screaming and crying. It got to the point where the nurse was being unbelievably imature and actually playing with my newborn like he was a doll. My husband and I where so pissed off by the end of her visit that I told him to tell the nurses that we want to go home, like now. They wouldn't let us leave until my son latched, which wasn't going to happen because they decided to clip his tongue an hour before deciding that he needed to latch for us to go home. Then finally they gave me a pump, but no bottles instead they gave us SYRINGES to feed our child and they sent us home with them, as a first time mom I thought that was totally normal! Once home we noticed a huge gash on the back of our baby's head, God knows what from but one of the nurses had told us to keep a hat on him Before we left. And two years later now because of their epidural I have nerve damage in my legs. Overall, I would Sue this hospital if I had the time. I hope they fire their nurses and close down because they are by far the worst hospital I have even gone to. read more

Don't let the hotel-like atmosphere fool you. It's all smoke and mirrors. When you need to see a doctor at Swedish, they dictate who you'll see regardless of which physician you prefer. If you see one physician, that person is yours "for life". Even if you had a terrible experience with that doctor or want to see another for any reason, it's not allowed. The front-end staff and nurses are deplorable at returning phone calls and when they say they'll follow through with a plan . . . it never happens. We wasted so many hours trying to switch physicians (a very simple thing that for them is like an act of congress). It's been a month and NOTHING has been done as promised. We're leaving Swedish and going to Overlake where I know they care more about the patients than their delicate physicians who might get their feelings hurt if a patient deems them inadequate as many of them are. Swedish doesn't care about their patients. They care about their hotel image and revenue, but that's as far as it goes. read more

The University of Washington Urogynecology department misdiagnosed me for more than 2 years, and did not do the right imaging. I finally went to a neurosurgeon, (Dr. Naini), Evergreen, who did an MRI of my sacrum, and the problem was seen. I had to have a hysterectomy due to a pre-cancerous lesion in my uterus. I also had a large enterocele that was proven by a Dr.Medwell, (bless his heart),from Swedish. I refused to go back to the U.W. It was not the first time they had misdiagnosed a condition I had. I live alone and I am 66, and I have a heart condition. Swedish Hospital's Dr. Shah did the hysterectomy. I signed the permit thinking I was going to have the enterocele taken care of also. (He did not fix the enterocele, I recently found out, and it became larger and worse.) I was sent home in less than 24 hours. I fell at home twice, and I continued to be sick for months. He did not pay attention to me when I told him I was still ill with diarrhea. I was misdiagnosed for the same illness by my primary care doctor, Dr. Chaudry, 2 different GI doctors, Dr Butoni, (from Overlake) and Dr. Patterson from Swedish, and Dr. Washington (Virginia Mason), and one colorectal surgeon from Swedish, Dr. Bastarwrous. I suffered horribly for several months with nausea and diarrhea and pain because these doctors did not order the right test in order for me to be treated. They basically dismissed me because they didn't know what to do. Dr. Butoni put me through a Gastric biopsy in which I had a violent reaction to the anesthetic, and I ended up in the emergency room. (I did not want to have this test done anyway, but there seemed to be no explanation for the nausea, diarrhea. He also did a nuclear gastric emptying test, that was normal). My medical bills have been through the roof because no one could make the right diagnosis. I was put through so much. My primary care doctor from Swedish wanted to order another regular stool test, but I never had that done. It was a mute point to repeat tests over and over again. Dr. Patterson only wanted to do a "breath test". I could not bring myself to do that because I felt like he was completely on the wrong tract like Dr. Butoni. Dr. Washington never addressed the diarrhea. She wanted to refer me to have a colostomy for God's sake. Dr. Bastarwrous completely dismissed me, and would not treat me at all. He did not address the enterocele, or the diarrhea or the pain I was in. I struggled for months on end, suffering with no one to help me. I finally went to Dr. Argile at Puget Sound Gastroenterology who said to me," The test is simple. You should be tested for C. difficile." It is a bacteria that occurs when a person is given an antibiotic, and occurs many times after a hospitalization. C difficile can be deadly especially for an older person. Thousands of people die in the U.S. because this bacteria goes undetected, or is ignored. I am an R.N. and I felt bad that I did not know that it doesn't show up in a regular stool test, which I already had. None of those other doctors tested me for that. It has to be tested for specifically, and the best way to do that is to have a PCR, or DNA test for that in the stool. I was given Vancomyacin about 8 months after the surgery. I got over the diarrhea, but I still had the abdominal pain. In the mean time, last spring just before they diagnosed the C difficile, and I was still sick, I had an episode of extremely high blood pressure, and ended up in the emergency room. I was at Kinko's and my hand's were turning blue. I went to the ER in Issaquah who gave me Labetalol IV and discharged me. My cardiologist Dr. Lewis (Swedish) did not call me back for two days. His nurse left a message on my cell phone, "Stop taking your blood pressure so often". I could not believe what I was hearing. I was having shoulder pain, (which is what I had when I had to have stents placed in my heart a few years ago). I was still having severe abdominal pain, and wanted so badly to get a surgeon who would help me. I recently went to another cardiologist because of my ongoing cardiac symptoms that got worse when I was ill all those months. He did a nuclear medicine stress test, which was abnormal. My heart is in trouble. I blame all of that, including the pain and suffering I have gone through on the fact that the doctors from all these places did not do the right thing, right surgery, or treat me with antibiotics when I needed it. I have had other issues with Swedish, which I will address later. I have horror stories that are hard to believe. By the way, I am a former ICU, and ER nurse. I know what I am talking about. I cared for people all my life. No one should be treated the way I was, misdiagnosed and dismissed. No one. read more

Came here a few times to do a baby class with Swedish (Bringing Baby Home). Great facility. Great staff. There's a great Starbucks downstairs on the main floor too with an area to sit and hangout. Big windows. Parking is easy. read more

Terrible experience with primary care. The Issaquah campus of Swedish is a beautiful facility with many nice amenities, however, I would absolutely not recommend this hospital for primary care. Awful patient service, no compassion for patient needs, Dr. Girolamo unhelpful - just waiting to collect the fee, primary care administrator is equally unhelpful and VERY unprofessional. Overall just had a significant feeling that there was a lack of concern for patient needs. My family was actually told "if we didn't like it, we could find a new doctor." read more

I only go to Swedish. All of my doctors are at Swedish and I will only ever go to their emergency department. I just switched my primary care from Swedish Cherry Hill to Dr. Kidambi at Swedish Klahanie and she and her staff are wonderful! read more

Our daughter was admitted 3 times here since December 30th for a health issue. We stayed on floor 2, and the set of pediatric nurses were amazing. We are so grateful for them for making a hard time a little easier and treating our 3 year old with the best care. read more

It's been a nightmare just trying to get into this place for a gastroenterology procedure. My GI surgeon referred me to Swedish Issaquah to have a test done. I called and made an appointment for 1:30pm. They sent me a confirmation email in mychart confirming this date and time. I speak with the nurse this morning with a couple of questions and double check that I have a check in time of 1:30 and she said yes. I arrive at Swedish Issaquah Campus and spend 35 minutes being send around to 5 different departments because nobody can find my appointment. Finally I get a lady which finds my appointment but said it's at 3:30.n I said, no it's 1:30 and I have the appointment confirmation which proves it. She asks for the confirmation and I show her. She said "yeah, ummmm. I'm not sure what's going on so let me contract the nurse" She gets ahold of her and I was told to go to a different department and check in. They would get me all taken care of. I go check in, and once again this department doesn't see my appointment in the computer so they had to check some clipboard. I explain the situation and that the nurse had just been contacted and told me to check in here. They check me in and by this time it's 2:05. I'd been at the hospital since 1:20 being sent everywhere. I take a seat and wait, and wait. All these other people are being called back and I'm still sitting there. Another lady goes to check in for a procedure and they cannot find her appointment either. After looking, they said there weren't even any orders sent to them from her doctor. She explained yes, there was. And Swedish called her last week to schedule her for this appointment. Which wasn't much of a surprise considering they couldn't seem to find mine either. Finally at 2:30 I go to the counter and ask what's gong on. This was a different lady than the one who checked me in. I explain the situation and she said "you're appointment is at 3:30." Once again, I show the confirmation showing 1:30 and she called someone in the back. She hung up the phone and said the nurse was in the procedure scheduled at 1:30 and I had to wait until she was done so they could check with her. I left work to come to my appointment. Drove 30 miles and sat in traffic. Only for this BS to take place. I had to get back to work and couldn't stay and wait for them to get me in 2 hours after my appointment was supposed to be. So I had them cancel it. I've contacted my Doctor to request a referral to another hospital. I absolutely refuse to step foot back into that joke of a hospital.
